After a hard reset my HD was fast again and no errors. I installed all software I need, and before that I could copy files to the micro-SD of my HD2 from Win 7 Explorer while Active Sync was activated. Now after setting up everything I get an error everytime I want to copy a file that explorer cant copy the file. Using the SD-card as HDD causes no such errors. Only when Active Sync and Mobile center are active. This happens not all the time, but most of.
The pic shows the software i installed to my HD2 (internal on phone)

This has been covered many times before , and with a search you might have found it but i will go over it again ....
This has been a known issue with Activesync for a long time, I say known but less common, it is more common with W7, but still there is no rhyme or reason as to what machines/phones it affects, (if someone knows please tell me), it has to do with the conversion module in activesync, but that is all I know about it ...
The Way around it is SIMPLE, connect your phone to the pc and "forget activesync exists", and when the little box on your phone pops up asking how to connect select disk drive ... Your phone will then show up as a removable drive and you can copy files fine ...
If you no longer get the popup box goto "Start Menu>Settings>Connections>USB to PC" , and check the little box that says "Ask me ......."
Thx. Yeah, maybe I could have used the search more precisely. And what you wrote lets me hesitate in Microsoft once more. But hey - ok, I can live with that. And using the card as drive is what I´ve been doing since and ever when this bug/error appears. Thx anyway.
(Was just thinking it had something to do with some app I installed or something, sorry for wasting your time btw)
try settings menu all settings connections usb to pc and UNtick "faster data transfer.
seems to help for some.

Yeah forgot that ...
I have been looking around at this, I think it actually may have to do with a codec issues, when you install 3rd party codecs it may screw up the built in conversion in activesync, even though the file does not really need to be converted, when activesync goes to check the file to see if it does need converted it bombs ....
Ok, thx you two.
I figured out now that it must have to do with this error report.
communication (0x80072745) error connecting Windows Mobile device
Source: RapiMgr
Event-ID: 8
I updated the driver for the mobile device via online update at the hardware manager snap-in and since then this sporadic appearing error did not occur again. Hope this was the solution.
I really hope so.

You seem to be using your ram twice....
You show 118meg of main memory (ram) and then later on a RAMDISK partition of 95meg. Unless the XDA2 has >200meg ram ( it doesnt) then something is wrong!
As far as im aware you cannot use the ramdisk prog on the fullram versions of wm2k5, this could be your problem.
hi there i have the same problem, got it after i de-installed pocket controller from soti.
checked startup folder for commloader.exe but its not there,
i think its a setting in the registry.
it appears at startup (reset) also after pressing on/off button.
Anyone else with this problem ?
It has to do with Pocket Controller. Reinstalled the app problem gone, de-installed problem reappeared.
The commloader resides on the bottom right part of the screen (where the BT icon is).
Anyone any idea where to disable the loading of icons in that part of the screen.
Perhaps topic should be moved?

HI
You are right, I just unistall SITO Pocket controller then like that.
CommLoader is the device driver of SOTI's Pocket Controller, it's required by the desktop Pocket controller to be able to communicate with your PDA.
To get rid of the message, just go to the: [\Windows\startup] directory & manually delete the CommLoader(.exe). It should have been removed automatically by uninstall, but it didn't so you have to remove/delete it manually.

Thanks, but there is no such as commloader.exe in my Windows\Startup
Reflash, sofar the only solution for me. or keep soti PC
Soti has hooked itself to some services, dunno which.

interesting...
can it be a hidden file? it shouldn't be. can u put a check mark on the [Show all files] in the menu?
This is just a wild guess but you may want to check; do you have another \Windows directory in the NAND/FLASH/Storage or in any other storage?
Now don't laugh at it, since I used to have a complete \Windows directory in the Flash/NAND storage in Buzz's initial release of WM2k5!!!
Cheers.
Cannot find commloader.exe anywhere.
reinstall SITO and keep it, that all newver popup error again.
I know this problem and I have the solution.

Anyone found a solution to the bluetooth failure following 2.1? Can send FROM laptop but phone wont send out.........
my problem is the other way round.. phone will send to laptop.. but laptop WON'T send to phone..!!
Weird or what. I've contacted SE who say they know of nothing wrong and suggest PC companion repair as the BT may be corrupted......................
At least it sends my phonebook to the handsfree.............
Time to repair, I think (again)
Strange I never had a problem with my bluetooth sending and receiving...!!
Anyways this thread might help you :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840575
Have you tried using astro bluetooth module?
Sent from my Xperia X10i (2.1 and rooted) using XDA app
Look up "bluetooth fix" in the market, I found 2 which seemed to help reset it but not sure which worked coz I stupidly activated both without fully testing between each one
So far none of these suggested solutions work for me. I'm unable to send from PC to phone. I get the "No services found" message. Win 7 32-bit. Used to work fine on 1.6.
no sevices here also. windows 7 64b, fine sending to the laptop but from the laptop is a no go.
i use bluetooth file transfer from the market which works fine but this should be working from stock.
yea.. but blue tooth fix is only for root user
I have discovered that if I send an image TO the phone from the lappy i can then send that image FROM the phone. Anything original from the phone says ' task cannot be undertaken.
ALSO
MW600 receives music and mutes it when calling or being called but the call is not transferred! WTF?
BUT
Handsfree speakerphone works.
Come on SE pull out the finger, it all worked properly under 1.6..........
Looks like its my dongle. Just tried with another laptop and all was fine............................... Bum.
I 've a problem with my car audio unit. They can't see each other :-(

My phone is rooted but Bluetooth Fix did nothing other than resetting all my bluetooth settings!
Result. All now fine. I replaced the bluetooth driver software on the computer, which must have upgraded stuff because all now works.
If you have a similar problem phone to laptop I suggest you replace the bluetooth stck on your lappy.
How did you remove the BT drivers? (stupid question?)..
You need to go to Control Panel - System and Security - Device Manager - Network and Adapters.
Problem is every time I try to update my bluetooth drivers it gets to "validate bluetooth device" and then it stalls there.

If the device is not 'one of theirs' Widcomm/Broadcom stack won't support it. My dongle was using the Microsoft drivers and would not work with the phone. I could send to but not receive UNLESS I sent something back I had previously sent if you see what I mean.
I have Win7 64bit with broadcom/widcomm BT and having No Services Found problem... I've managed to send files from PC to X10 by using Windows default Bluetooth File Transfer:
- on your PC go to C:\Windows\System32\
- find and select fsquirt.exe
- right click on it and click copy; paste it as a shortcut on your desktop
- now just drag the file you want to send to fsquirt - Shortcut and follow the instructions and it will send
hope it will also work for you
with 1.6 i was able to browse files on the sd card via windows explorer ("Browse files on your X10a" link in BT windows settings), then copy and paste files/photos to my desktop. It was very convenient and easy, like copy/paste from a flash card to hard drive, but via BT.
Now with 2.1 this option is gone (old BT drivers or the latest broadcomm ones - does not matter - it's no longer there). So how do I get it back? Any apps that have a similar functionality?

no problem here sending from phone to pc and viceversa,,, rare you have that issue
Ok im New to the whole Android thing , but i am excited to finally get on board with a Google phone. I like the iphone, i have no problems with it, its just the new carrier wont work with it. I have 2 macs, Macbook and MacPro (hackintosh) Im am very familiar with computer and how stuff works, I understand 70% of the commands i have to copy and paste from forums to make things work. Right now i am stuck (and im 100% sure its not due to the fact my Desktop isnt legit)
I got this phone used last week, fresh install with a certain rom (i dont know wich one, not sure how to tell, have no ideal how to get factory roms etc.) the phone is unlocked.
Before i plug in the usb to my phone, i enable debugging, then i select, USB mass storage.
WHen i connect i get the " Mac os X can't repair the disk "NO NAME"

then the External will mount, (so will the internal) here is what disk Util shows
It says the internal is 2.36 gb with 12.74 gb avail and only 980mb used, 0 number of files..
Now when i try to unmount the external, its fine, when i try to unmount the Internal, (NO NAME) all hell breaks loose, i wont let me, sometimes i get an error saying i cant unmount etc.. when i unplug it from the computer its still on my desktop, DiskUtil goes crazy and doesnt respond, then eventually any program that can see the drive will not respond (finder, activity Monitor)
anyone know a way around this? do i need to put a differnt install on it? its a t-mobile phone, should i just dl their newest update? how do i actually do that? their webpage? thanks for the help

I do not think Apple wants ppl to use Android..... Jealousy I guess, You can try a couple of things one would be Downloading this software from: Salling Media sync app for mac This usually works but not all the time and I do not know why.
This will work until you find a real fix from TMO, Samsung. It takes a few steps but works:
First open Terminal (applications - utilities - terminal), then type in "gpt show /dev/disk1" without the quotes. Make sure USB Debugging is turned on. Plug in the phone, it will be detected in Finder as a TMO CD, after a minute that will disappear, you can eject it to get there faster. Then mount the USB device, wait for the disk error message and select "Ignore" then unmount the card then remount it. Then in the Terminal hit Enter to run the "gpt show /dev/disk1 command". You may have to run the command more than once. It should recognize your card at that point. Then you can access the card as usual.
BTW, THIS IS WHY I HATE APPLE, they are excellent at making thing compatible for their products but, give little support to others......
yeah i tried that, but when i plug in the phone Network settings pop up no TMO CD
you think it could be because of the custom rom that was installed? I tried to find out wich one i had, but no luck..
it seems like there is somethign wrong with the 16gb partition... maybe a fresh install?
Yes when All else fails fresh install also you might find someone with a windows based computer to check it it amke sure the phone is not the problem
Yeah thats my next option.. VM wont work because OSX see's the phone 1st.. i cant just get win7 to take control without osx getting their hands on it..
now being familiar with the iphone. i would just find a stable version open itunes and select what version i want to install.. seeing how i bought my phone rooted and unlocked. and not knowing what ROM i have installed, do i just goto t-mobile's site and get the latest software from there?
connected fine on a windows machine.. this really sucks.

Why are you connecting it?
If its for tethering(sharing 3g) use wifi hotspots, and if its for file transfer use a free program called My Phone Explorer, that will allow you to pair properly.
I eant to use it for file transfer. I usef to connevt easily with my all earlier phones. It start the hardware scan and then nothing.

Hey everyone,
Ever since updating to "14.1.B.2.257" i can't connect my Xperia Z Ultra (C6802) to my PC. i've tried a lot of things such as reinstalling the drivers, installing and activating ADB etc. But everywhere i look, it's been mentioned that a msg should prompt on my device (the RSA Authentication):

the problem is that i've installed functioning drivers AND the PC recognizes my internal storage and SD card; the only problem is that i can't connect to third party softwares in order to backup or manage my phone via them BECAUSE there is no pop-up msg asking me to authorize the "fingerprint" of my pc :|
i'm very well frustrated having worked on this matter for about 10-12 hours  so any help would be immensely appreciated!
That is odd. Since you didn't specifically mention it, i couldn't resist confirming: you did enable usb debugging in the developer settings?
So this did work before? How did you update to .257? I hope you get it working, i know how annoying this can be!
Hmm, mine usually connects the second i enable USB debugging. If you're sick and tired of it and don't want to fiddle with it right now but you want to move/remove files and stuff to/from your device, i recommend AirDroid. Just open the app and your browser on you computer and you're ready to go (you have to be connected to the same WiFi as your computer).
Change your usb connection mode to MSC Mass storage mode instead of MTP Media transfer mode. That should do it.

thanks, rest assured that i'm well aware that "usb debugging" is enabled i even tried GIVING UP developer rights and then again recaliming it just as a possible solution (but nope, undoable without serious phone-hauling)
i up'ed it to .2.257 using the OTA method, i think the whole thing might be due to the fact that my device isn't rooted :/ don't ask me why cuz i'm very pissed at Sony for its lacking of such things. (.2.257 can't be rooted yet, not even with vRoot)

Thanks for replying Sunday, but that's another odd thing: i can't seem to change the connection mode from "Internal & SD Card Connected" to anything else, cuz i did hypothesize that changing it to any other form of connection might have a chance at prompting the "RSA Fingerprint" msg  but i simply can't change it to anything else, again, might be due to the fact that my device isn't rooted
