Hi!
I have a Qtek S200 and having some trouble to update the ROM.. I did update it from 5 to 6.1 a couple of years ago...
Now I've done the HardSPL just to be sure again and when I run any roms it just says upgrade only.. Get a Newer nbf file...
I have a G4 model by the way.. If some of you guys could point me at the right direction so I can update my wm to 6.5 it would be great..

- If you done the HSPL...uncheck it in this application.
- Choose G4
See what Z900 told you , if it doesn't work i will tell you another way to do

i have a G4 imate jamin
i upgraded it to wm6 evo8enbefore upgrading i used the instructions to first install RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID and then upgrade to wm6.
my imate has changed into a QTECK (welcome screen)
but now that i want to downgrade and use the imate original rom i cant
it gives me error 296 (the nbf file cannot be used.)
i tried to CIDunlock using the wiki method.
when i run the downgrade.bat it worked fine and finished but when i soft reset to do the next steps (runnıng unlockcid.bat) my imate freezed and did not boot.
can some body help me on how can i install the imate orginal rom on my jamin again???????
By installing RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe you probably upgraded your SPL from 2.13 or 2.15 (i guess) to 2.20 and now when you try to downgrade your rom you receive that error.
I know because i did exactly the same thing with my first prophet but later I found dopod 2.15 . . . rom which didnt change my second prophet's SPL.
Now, since there is no solution (yet) for downgrading (unlocking) G4s the only thing you can do is: http://www.imei-check.co.uk/m600unlock.php. I havent! done that myself but someone sure has... Or you can try some other WM6 roms like Touch, Mysterious, etc.
Oh, and btw CID unlock is for G3 ONLY!!!
Maybe someone should update that guide so people dont get into these situations

yes this should be notified properly ,also usb switch is missing in instructions too .
I want that moderators make this thread sticky so that all G4 Imate Jamin Users can read this before doing everything in order to upgrade to WM6.
Dear user!
All the available WM6 ROMs require installing a Qtek WM5 before upgrading to WM6. And if you installed the ROM that they required, your Imate will become a Qtek for ever and there is no turning back!
It means that you cannot install Imate Original ROMs on your device anymore & you cannot even install Qtek original ROMs on your device because there is no method to CID-Unlock a G4 Imate jamin!
My personal advice is if you want to upgrade to WM6, DO NOT install any of those WM5 ROMs on your device and just install the WM6 upgrade.
Ehm.. You do know that there allready IS a sticky on how to do the upgrading ?
only SPL changes you can bring back imate boot screens (splash) by using nvid ruu ,SPL is hard to change but radio and splash could be changed right!! .although first time users go into shock for days ,but don't worry i had the same one too ,it doesn't matter now.

TOO LATE !!!!!
The only thing that gets me is that with the Imate you could paste into the WiFi password box, withe the Qtek you can't and when you have a 63 character password that's a pain in the arse!

but password is not managed by SPL or radio ,so suggest a different OS for imate instead of nvidQtek or get some cab to remember your password does anyone know such OS or cab
Hello all, sorry if this has been addressed before but I couldnt find it if it has. I have a Qtek s200 that I got 2nd hand. I was able to successfully downgrade to WM5 for unlocking purposes without any problems. I am currently running WM5 v.2.20.7.36 ESN and would like to know how to update to the latest version of WM5. REason being is alot of the programs I download for WM5 say they are not compatible with my current version and I should update to the latest WM5. Thanks for any help,

Hi there i'm from Cambodia!
I got the problem after finished upgrading rom. Everytime I've finished upgrading my prophet doesn't upgrade to the new rom. It's still the same rom as before(My old rom is wm5), and sometime it's appear only three colors.
Does anyone of you know why my prophet can't upgrade to wm6 anymore?

here looking after these Rome.
-- Qtek 2.20.739 GER, NVID
flashe it easy and (should work)
search then you the following things
-- SoftSPL
-- HardSPL
when you now without the SPL change want another rom-tuned want (WM6.1) use SoftSPL
-- Root copy
-- SPL Play
-- White screen
now connect USB and the right Upgrade_RUU.exe start (G3 or G4)
then about 10 to 15 minutes and wait for the new rom is installed.
You do not want any flash before the SoftSPL you can run on the first white screen and flash HardSPL.
Then, only the need to update / upgrades.
Download HardSPL and SoftSPL:

It is an original shipped rom. It TAKES A WHILE TO INSTALL,but it worked for me.

Now try some 6.1 roms.
It worked for me.

I was looking and couldn't find a clean wm 6.1 rom for wizard g4 . Everyone of the posted ones has some progs in it. Does anyone have one or can post a link?

i think there was few older builds of clean WM6.1 roms in the wizard mobile thread. Another thing what you can do is to download the desired rom and kitchen and remove the stuff you dont like in the kitchen
Never tryed that, so better not Will try and search more if i could find maybe with minimum programs.
It's not hard to just turn off Touchflo on the ROM in my SIG. After a fresh install, has over 45MB of free memory, and averages about 20MB of RAM at idle.

You have two choices:
HardSPL (semipermanent, fools the hardware into believing that it is unlocked)
SoftSPL (temporary, places the phone in a semi-unlocked state long enough to flash it)
For most people, I recommend SoftSPL, simply because it's easy to revert back to your OEM ROM in between updates, if you turn into a flashing junkie.
