Solution for Background Picture Faded out?

Hi,
If I change the background picture in the 'Today' settings to anything other than the default one, the picture is always faded. Does anyone know if it's possible to change this?
Cheers,
B
well...
...but save your favorite picture in \Windows as "tdywater.gif", replacing the original one...
That should help.
buzz
"the picture is always faded"
as in more pale then the org ?
imho then the best way to change the background is making a new theme
/ tsk file using a themegenerator
ey mate! use the "picture" program to view the picture you like as the background.... go to START/PROGRAMS/PICTURES
then TOOLS/Set as Today Wallpaper
then set transparency level to "0" Zero...
that should do it
...check it out!
that really works...

[Q] Screenshots in .png?

When I make a screenshot with the SGS2 it's in .jpg, but I want them in .png for better quality of the screenshot. Any1 knows how to change this?
You can not do this with the inbuilt screenshot function of GS2. You might want to take a look at third party apps for taking screenshot. Some of them offer this function to change extension/quality of the screenshot taken.
Root it and use shootme to capture screen shot.
As far as I know, screenshots are saved in .png format in KG1 and newer. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Best photo app for cropping?

I'm looking for a photo app that lets me crop the photo. I have PicSay, which I like a lot because I can annotate the photo. I also have PicPlz. I can't find a way to crop the photo in either of these. Seems pretty basic to me to have cropping, but I can't find it.
When I search the marketplace for Photo I get 12,000 results. I'm sure I can find an app in there that will crop the photo but after reading the description of two dozen apps none of them mention anything about cropping. I guess I could just start downloading them and trying them out one by one but that could get old pretty fast.
So, I've come to you for your advice.

Try Adobe Photoshop Express
What's wrong with the stock Samsung 'Photo editor' app? Have you tried it? Very easy to crop and save images.
TouchUp in the market
Try unique pic or the samsung app that'd included.
sent from the drivers seat, yup texting while driving

Looking for a simple image editor

I'm looking for something like MS paint. I want to be able to take my png screenshots that I make and draw boxes/circles around things and draw straight lines and arrows with a line tool. Anyone know of an app like this? It seems a lot of the image editing apps are for photo retouching and effects filters.

Skitch would be what you are looking for, but doesn't the inbuilt supernote also allow this?
