Messages' tone - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
There's this problem that I've been having since I dunno when. But before, I remember when I have a long ring tone as a text messages notification, the moment I get a new message the tone will stop when I press any key/button on the phone.
Now I'm using Miri's & Dinik's last 17.6 rom, and the messages tone keeps playing even after I open the message itself! it keeps going on and on untill it finishes!
I know it's not repeating the tone or anything, and this happens because the tone is long. but shouldn't the tone stop playing the moment I press any botton on the phone? or at least when I open the message!?
I'm sure there's a fix for that in the registry. any help, please?

(Sprint) Major Issues - Personal Opinion

Hello all,
Here are some of the things that have been bugging me since I got this new phone.
1. SMS Wakeup. When I get a text the screen wakes up and it just starts pushing buttons while its in my carrying case.
2. When I get an incoming call, sometimes I don't want to answer it. When the call comes in I get 1/2 of a ring and the touch screen answers the call, sometimes it ignores it, but most of the time it answers it.
Any fixes for these problems?

You could try S2U (Slide to Unlock).
Wake Up on New SMS –> HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <– set to “1″ by default. Change value to “0″
The Raphael (and the diamond on 1.93) now ring and vibrate for incoming SMS, so this is not really necessary, but will turn the screen on if that’s what you want (I personally don’t).

[Q] How to get rid of annoying beep at end of a call

Hello
I have this annoying beep with vibrate which comes up everytime i finish a call or send a text. The message that pops up is from my provider that shows the call amount and remaining credit. I've had this beep come up on every Sense based ROM i've used (the plain AOSP ROMs are fine...no beeps/vibrate). For the text messages, thought it was the sound settings and went on to disable the notification sound & vibrate for 'sent messages' but it still hasn't gone away.
Perhaps it's a simple fix, so would be grateful if someone could point out.
Thank you

[Q] Mini Pro SMS Vibration doesn't work

Heyy all,if this already being asked before then I couldn't find it so please point me in the right direction.
A few days ago my phone stopped vibrating when I received SMS. I thought I might of knocked it off in the setting or something but after checking to find that it was still turned on I got confused. I've done nothing to the phone which could kill the phone vibrating when I receive a SMS. The phone vibrates when my alarm goes off and every other thing but not when I receive a SMS. I've checked in the service menu as well to see if vibrate worked there and it does. So does anyone have any idea how I can fix this problem as I rely on my phone vibrating to answer my texts.
Cheers
Hi, I don't know if there's an "official" way to do it, but I use AudioGuru to set all volume and vibration settings. Next to the ringtone slider is a symbol of a vibrating phone, and it can be activated or deactivated. Same story with the slider below, which refers to sms: you can check if it's activated or not.
It is activated though. I use Light flow which changes the LED light when I get a notification but it also sets what the notification does like vibrate and such. My ohone vibrates in ever other situation expect when I receive a text.

[Q] Stop the vibrate when changing sound profiles...

Hi,
First time poster and I registered just to see if I can get this question answered. My issue is that I really hate that when I change from sound to mute via the vibrate icon in the pull-down taskbar that it actually vibrates. I also hate that it vibrates when I push the volume putton down towards mute.
If im lying in bed with the Mrs and not wanting to wake her while I browse my phone i want to be able to go from sound to mute and when passing through vibrate that it actually doesnt vibrate (I dont need to be told im on that setting). There is an app called mute to do this but I wish I could disable the vibrate when changing profiles entirely. The icon tells me whether it is on vibrate or not without needing to vibrate to tell me I have moved onto the vibrate setting!! Same goes for during a meeting when I am toggling one way or the other i want to do it without making a noise. I know I could use the power button to go to silent mode but I prefer to use the dropdown menu.
With my iPhone I could have just changed a text file or something but I guess its different with android?
So essentially I only want my phone to vibrate when I am getting an alert like a call, text message, calendar alert etc and not when Im cycling through my sound profiles. Maybe Im weird and this doesnt bother anybody else but it would be great to hear if this is possible to hack?
Thanks
David

[Q] Losing Notification Sounds

Posted about this in the N4 section but no solution.
Over the last few weeks my phone will randomly lose its notification sounds and vibration and stay silent when i recieve a text message, line message, or email. I thought maybe it was a ROM or kernel issue but after changing both ROM and kernel the problem persists until reboot. I havent installed any new apps since it first began so at this point i have absolutely no idea wth is going on and its very frustrating to get to my messages late due to not getting a notification sound. Anyone else experience this?

I have this issue too with my one v, i found that after i receive a notification that was silent if i tap the volume down once and the volume up once the problem fixes itself by resetting the notification volume
