My opinion: I didn't like any of the optional home screens offered by the 6.1 build, I found it's task manager less friendly, and didn't like having to go through the recent page to the start menu. Given all that and a few things I can't even remember (not bugs, just UI experiences), I have no problem using the 6.0 build. It is also possible to load the clock and battery meter from the 6.1 build into the 6.0 build, making the 6.1 build even less unique to me. This is not meant to be a slam against the 6.1 build, just my $0.02. Both the 6.0 and 6.1 build loaded and booted and ran well. YMMV

Just picked up a Finnish S411 from Hong Kong yesterday, after my T-mobile TP2 took a dump.
I work hard all day and the touch screen phones get fuked up, Newton rings, screen scratches, lose of touch screen sensitivity... etc
I've always been a flip phone guy, but have never liked there OS's, or performance, models like the BB flip although very nice locked you out of so much I felt restricted and strangled.
The HTC Startrek, is the only winmo Flip phone HTC. And I love it so, lets keep Rom Development alive!!!!
I'm currently using V9c its a nice build, can't comment on Stock because the Stock ROM was Finnish only
But having had cooked Winmo Roms on my Eten M800, Touch Pro, and my TP2 and I can say its missing alot of custom support.
No option for open close sound, etc

I have always used this cpl, but recently (after upgrading to W2003SE) once I install this app and reset, it HARD RESETS! I have had this happen twice, (but only realized the possible relation later), and now I'm gun-shy to install it again.
Is anyone running this with the 2.02.t1, 2.06.00 ROMs and are NOT have problems.
I would like to turn off looking for GPRS when radio re-starts, (and just to establish a GPRS signal when you need GPRS), (makes searching for a GSM signal MUCH faster)
Alternately, does anyone know what the registry change is to cause the device to NOT look for a GPRS signal, (just a GSM signal) until needed?

I have already used gprs tweak.
I didn't found that problem with hard reset even in 2.02t1 ,2.06 or 2.06 merge with 2.02t1.
Your problem may from other softwares which have conflicts with this program or may problem from ROM2.06

Thanks for replying. I installed the cpl again because of your article, and I'm happy to report its working well, (several resets and no Hard Resets). It must have been something else I was installing in the past as well, that was causing the Hard Reset.

there is new version support SE ?!?!
No there isn't a new version, but it seems the older 2004.02.04 works with SE. I did NOT use the Media Player setting, but the GPRS seems to work fine. I'm using Radio 1.14.00 (I had radio 1.18.00 before), (in case that could have been a problem)...

did you modify this rom in any way? or did you just translate it?
i am curious because korand's roms always have this strange comm manager behaviour with wifi meaning that after each soft reset wifi only starts after two taps on the button in the comm manager, whereas wifi starts right away when enabled through batterystatus. i also tried different comm manager versions without an effect.
any comments? any ideas?

That can be changed by putting a shortcut to "WiFiInit" in the start up folder.

tried it and seems to work. funnily enough, i do not need this shortcut in my official wm5 for wifi to work right away...
remains one question unsolved though: how to set the sound scheme to the original wm 6/6.1 as it is available in cloudyfa's and pdaviet's roms? i would use them if they were not that much overloaded with apps i do not like or need, espacially all the htc crap... apart from those minor flaws mentioned above, i really like korand's slim and sleek roms.
but when i read earlier that cloudyfa is coming up with a new one including wpa2, i might give THAT one a shot...

Concept
Ok so heres how this works. I will be releasing JP as a kitchen so everyone else can keep themselves up to date faster than I can and make all the little changes everyone likes to to make to personalize their own ROM. Ive taken the ATT 5.08 ROM with the new DDI.dll added by Da_G, updated gwes.exe and stripped it naked, entirely naked. The end result is basically having a generic version of Windows Mobile 6.1 (5.2.20771 1.4.6). All thats left behind by default are ATT connection settings, my program folders and general layout of the ROM. This release will remain a base for all updates seeing as it will most likely be the last build that ATT builds on for the fuze since we Will not be receiving a 6.5 update. Ive split all the OEMDrivers apps into OEMAPPS to make it easier to maintain and update all the latest builds. I will also do the same for the packages folder. Lastly I will maintain TF3D(2) OEMs as new versions come out. Ill provide a roadmap later to help everyone better customize settings.

(Basically what I mean is I don't like the way Max Manila, now Max Sense, looks; I am a fan of how this image looks. So I am wondering what version to update my manila to before I reach what Max Manila/Sense looks like.)
I don't really know what you're trying to get at. Sense is just another name for manila/tf3d. They started calling it sense when they put the weather on the homescreen as far as I know (sense 2.1 and 2.5). Max manila is not made by htc, but is a mod made by someone here at xda (like cookiemonster making CHT). Older versions of sense are 19xx and newer versions are 20xx. Your picture will be included in any sense 2.5 version from the HD2/TP2/D2. The only versions that are different are the ones from Oboe, which have an RSS feed on the home page and 4 smaller quick links (as well as 12 or 16 when you swipe up...can't remember for sure). Sense 2.1 will be just like tf3d with weather on the home screen.
