You are playing against two other players - against your friends or against sophisticated computer players (AI). I hope you are enjoying this game. Tell us, how do you like it!

Is this just an advertisment for the game and the free demo?

Just bought the game even before using the demo...and I'm happy with it! Thanks. I love the zooming function. Runs great on my HD2!

Yes it is . The post here is the developers description, since he is new to the forum he wanted me to post the info about the game here. ( he cannot post links )
But our review on BestWindowsMobileApps is a honest review of the game. click. The video is a part of our review of the game.

I love the game and have purchased the full version -- very reasonable price for what you get.
I only have one question: What is the difference between classic and eliminator mode? I have played on all three sizes ans then tried to switch to eliminator mode, but the play seems exactly the same as classic.
Does anyone know?

Eliminator mode
Hi, eliminator mode generates only one type of cell for all players. It can be funnier, you can more predict opponent's moves and you can more frequently destroy cells (it can be helpful for obtaining some achievements). But classic gameplay can be more various.
Thanks for your feedback and enjoy the game

Very nice game!
It has been my favorite for some time.
The only suggestion I have is to port it to Android platform. WM hay days are over. My next device is going to be one of the droids and I really like to have this game on it.
Thanks to the author.

Android
Also a request for Android.
Enjoyed the game very much on my WM and am missing it now.

[GAME] GalaxyHopper - New OpenGL Game for the HD2 and others

GalaxyHopper
It'is time again: I want to introduce my new game to you. It goes by the name "Galaxy Hopper" and is a puzzle game.
Where download?
Here's the direct download: Download
And here's my homepage: Homepage
The . Cab is approximately 5.5 MB in size.
Game idea:
There are five difficulty levels with 12 levels to choose from. In each level your task is to bring the UFO to the middle of the board.
Any object can be moved in all 4 directions. The only rule: They'll fly until they hit another object. Moves into free space are therefore not allowed. That sounds simple, but it is not ...
Technology:
The game is based on OpenGL and has therefore very smooth animation and effects. The intro is realized as a so-called motion comic and there's an atmospheric soundtrack. Some screenshots can be found below.

}
Installation:
Simply download the cab file and copy it to your device. Then tap it and follow the instructions. The best the game is installed directly on the device, but an installation on the memory card is also possible (albeit slower).
Compatibility / Troubleshooting:
The game was originally developed for the HD2. Other devices (such as the HD) should of course be supported, but here I cannot promise anything (just try it!).
On older devices the game will probably not run due to missing OpenGL support.
If the game does not start, crashes or freezes a soft reset should help.
Updates
Version 1.1 is now (2nd of February 2010) online. It fixes some bugs with the levels as well as other minor things.
So, what do you think guys n' gals?
Some kind of Feedback would be nice
WOW another great one !!! Thanks Vankurt
I'm gonna try it this evening on my HD
Wow! Nice, great stuff looks fantastic and runs great on the HD2
I would add the [GAME] tag to the title of the thread if I were you, helps with searching and notcing great new games
I love this game it is really great!!!
A little bit more smooth on the HD would be nice
Well the game game was designed for the HD2. But I've heard from many people, that it works fine on the HD as well.
Maybe you have something going on in the background?
Or a strange ROM on your phone?
Or it just needs a soft-reset?
One thing you can try is to turn off sound (music and effects). There seems to be a little bug in there...
Let me know if it helps! If so, I'll fix that.
will try it out and posy my review on it
nice game!works great on my HD2 but it's not anything heavy! I was expecting it to be more graphics demanding..
Allrighty! The first update is out, mainly fixing some issues with unbeatable levels. Plese use the download link on the front page to download the latest version (1.1).
Is the updated cab file for 1.1 having file size of 5,628,486 bytes?
Yes, indeed it does

WordsUp is a fun strategic word-based board game for between 2 and 4 players. Each player takes it in turns to place letter tiles on to a game board to form words and score points. Unlike other word games, WordsUp allows you to stack letters on top of those already on the board, changing those words and forming new ones.
The more tiles there are in each word you form, the more points you score. As the stacks of tiles keep getting higher, so do the scores. Can you score the most points and become the WordsUp champion?
You can play local WordsUp games against your friends (hot-seat or "pass and play") or against the computer, or can play network games against other players over the internet. The computer players have four difficulty levels, from "beginner" through to "expert" if you fancy a real challenge. You can set local games up with any combination of human or computer players.
WordsUp was originally released for Windows 8 at the start of this year, but is now also available for all Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8 devices (including those with low memory). Internet games can be played across all platforms. WordsUp is a universal app, so buying for Windows Phone will also include the Windows 8 version and vice versa.
WordsUp can be downloaded from the Windows Phone store, priced US$1.29, £0.99, €1.29. All features of WordsUp are available in the free trial, so that you can fully evaluate the game before buying. The Windows 8 version is available too. Please give them a try!

good luck!
Blatant rip-off of Upwords, even to the name. You couldn't even be bothered to mention this little fact before trying to profit on somebody else's game? You want some feedback? You make Zynga (slimy scum that they are) look original; at least when they rip off existing games they bother to come up with new names for them instead of just switching the order of the words in the name....
Oh, and advertising paid apps on the forum is not permitted (seriously, read the forum rules). If you want to advertise, buy an advertisement. If the "trial" really is complete - and isn't time-limited or anything like that - then that's OK, but in that case you should describe it as a free game that people can contribute to the author if they want to support development.

Be ready for the mind blowing and thrilling game! Please meet the cult "Tyrian" game (one of the best "vertical scrollers" ever!) on the Windows Phone platform!
The game is set in the year 20,031. You play the role of a skilled terraforming pilot named Trent Hawkins, who is employed to scout out habitable locations on newly terraformed planets. His latest assignment is the planet Tyrian, which is located near the territory of the Hazudra, who are a lizard-like race.
One day, Buce Quesillac, a Hazudra and Trent's best friend, is shot in the back by a hoverdrone which quickly disappears into the sky. Buce lives just long enough to tell Trent that the attack was the work of MicroSol, the giant corporation who controls the terraformation of Tyrian. They want Buce dead because of his knowledge of Gravitium, which is a special mineral, unique to Tyrian, able to control the force of gravity.
Microsol want to use Gravitium to power their warships, which could result in them becoming nearly unstoppable. They will stop at nothing to eliminate anyone who knows of its existence. Trent is the next person on their hit list, and Buce implores him to try to reach Savara, a free world. With that, Buce dies. Trent manages to secure a small fighter, and departs for Savara.
Original scrolling shooter computer game was developed by World Tree Games Productions and published in 1995 by Epic MegaGames. This Windows Phone port is based on the OpenTyrian implementation.
Game is free but has some IAPs to make your life in the Tyrian world a little easier
You may control your spaceship with finger or accelerometer. I've also added an "Autofire" button to simplify battle controls (but don't forget to turn off autofire sometimes - it uses your ship energy!)

Enjoy and don't forget to rate this game by 5 stars!
wow... this game remind me how i am old hehehe
@dxdy, don't ask me about the age
Good stuff man
Just one thing, is it possible that you can implement touch control where the spaceship follows the finger you have pressed on touch press like the iphone port does.
It mostly unplayable for me with the controls that's currently implemented in your OpenTyrian app.
@KyouKeiKen, I'm really sorry buddy, but personally I hate that kind of control what you've described It's pretty unnatural and unrealistic - spaceship can't do a "micro hyper-jumps" like this (I mean "follow the finger" control - i.e. you want ship to move exactly where you touched screen). I just trying to follow the good old traditions...
P.S. You may try to use accelerometer control mode; at least my beta-tester completed first mission with both types of controls (it's about "usability")...
@sensboston, Fair enough since the original game didn't have that feature. The accelerometer controls isn't my cup of tea athough. I believe most people like me would be happy with virtual on-screen analog stick controls or arrow keyboard controls like your Dosbox app

WithstandZ - Zombie Survival!
I've been looking for a decent open world survivor game for 17 years now. Android has always been kind of lacking in this department. I found a game in beta that seems like it has a bit of potential. WithstandZ is a zombie survival game that includes open world maps, crafting items, building forts and multiplayer mode! The graphics are kept very simple in order to make everything run smooth on Android. The game looks a bit like a minecraft clone at first glance.
The controls are decent and I found running, jumping and attacking to be very smooth. So far this game isn't going to blow your mind but the potential is obvious as they continue to work through beta.
SURVIVAL:
You will have to learn and develop your own survival technique, go in search of food and equipment and keep the thirst, hunger and life of your character in stable level.
EXPLORE:
The game features a map of open world, where who chooses where to go, it's really you! Therefore, you will have many interesting places to explore and loot.
MULTIPLAYER:
The multiplayer/online mode brings a new experience to players on portable devices like smartphones, Tablets and other, that way you will enjoy and have fun with your friends, and if you're playing alone, it's up to you to decide if you will the player "Hero" or "Villain".
ZOMBIES:
Our zombies are constituted with an excellent artificial intelligence, that way if you are inside a House, you don't have to worry about a Zombie appear out of nowhere, they will only come after you if you really want.
Download WithstandZ
Do you guys know of any other decent open world survival games for Android?
Open world games are very hard to find on Android markets....
I will give it a try....
Thnx

Maybe when you played was bad, but I played the game recently and found it quite modified and improved compared to UnitZ.
