PLEASE MOVE THIS TO THE TMOBILE HD2 SOMEONE
Hey guys, i'm trying to get a replacement for my HD2 since I believe i've gotten a bad shipment one however i'm running:
R 2.10.50.26
G 15.39.50. 07U
D 2.13 KUMAR C5
[this is what appears under the stick together when it freezes]
I downloaded the 2.13 stock ROM from the website here, opened in winrar, extracted the ruu file, reformatted my microSD to a FAT32, placed the file on it and renamed it to LEOIMG and then helpd down the down vol button and hit the power button, it flashes the rainbow screen thing, flashes loading really quickly then goes back to the rainbow screen and says the following [pic included but taken from a crapberry so sorry it's hard to read]
[apparently I can't post pics? so here's what it looks like I can provide a picture link via PM unless I get verified]
[RED BLOCK]
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x05
[GREEN BLOCK]
[BLUE BLOCK]
[WHITE BLOCK (also says serial)]
Any ideas why I cant flash the stock ROM so I can return this without voiding the warranty guys? It'd be much appreciated.
Also if it matters i'm using the TMobile 1024 HD2. I just got it about 5 weeks ago
trying to use a 16gb sd card? 99 times in 100 they fail. (well, the one that came with the tmous does anyway)
You dont need to use card tho...
assuming you have a tmous phone, (you didnt say, and you're posting in the regular leo section, but im gpnna assume you have a tmous)
1 - run hspl3 - choose 2.08.0000
2 - flash the stock rom 2.13 using usb
done
I'll give it a shot and leave an update, apologies if I posted in the wrong area. The reason i'm trying from an SD card is because for some reason the phone keeps freezing and I pull the battery 10+ times a day and it gets stuck at the stick together screen alot [i'm assuming i'm having some issue with it hardware like a bent pin but since it's getting power i'm not sure???] I figured an SD install would go smoother. My windows Vista doesn't seem to like it too much
dont worry about it not booting, so long as you cam manually get into bootloader, you can run hspl and do usb flashes from there. The phone doesnt need to be booted.
As for teh pins, they should all stick out at teh same angle (i.e straight out, all teh same)
OK update:
I tried formatting my good 4gig SD card, put the file on it leoimg and it ran, got to the installing, gave an error, I took it out now. I go into the bootloader now [just read your reply] and it says
RUUNBH
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
cotullaHSPL 0x50
[green box]
Upgrade ROM code error Please try again
[Blue box]
[White box]
USB
I have it plugged in via USB now and i'm in the bootloader so i'm guessing this is a good sign, I try running HSPL3_PKG.exe so I can do as you suggested however I get a rapitool.dll error or something, I tried just running the T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_2.13.531.1 which is the ROM exe and get some rapitool error as well so I get this genius idea that it must be the lack of windows mobile center6.1 or whatever. I go, download the 32bit and it says its not supporting my processor? so I got the 64 bit and have the feeling i'll get the same error. I'm running Windows Vista, AMD turion x2 so I think it's a 64 bit. I'll reupdate once I try it all again.
UPDATE AGAIN:
I installed windows mobile center [I needed the 64 version dur de duur]
I ran the HSPL3_PKG and got it back to the 2.08.0000
I went to run the 2.13 update and it freezes at 9%, says that theres an error 290 invalid command. I tried to redownload and try again afew times to no luck so far. Here's what the bootloader says now
[RED BOX] RUUNBH
PB81120 ss-B3
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
[GREEN BOX]
Upgrade ROM code error Please try again
so on and so forth.
any ideas would be appreciated lol
CURRENTLY TRYING:
Downloading the stock ROM from that thread [one that's shipped without the SPL?] hopefully it works when I try to run this one and I can just take it back finally. If not and if noone has any ideas i'll just try to bring it back without a ROM on it [I think that's whats happened now] and just say that I tried installing the official update off the tmobile site and power died somehow and I have no idea what happened maybe?
MOST RECENT UPDATE:
OK so here, I got the shipped stock ROM, loaded it up on the microSD and it goes to loading when I go into bootloader and stops. I tried via USB and bootloader and it never makes it past 0% and just stops. I'm currently assuming that there's no actual ROM on my HD2 for now?? When I run the 2.13 ROM by TMob it shows the upgrade from [blank, there's nothing there] and then to: 2.13 before it errors as I have mentioned before.
Currently i'm running out of ideas, I certainly hope I didn't brick my phone and there's gotta be a away around this somehow. If there's nothing there I should try to put HSPL back on and try another custom ROM perhaps? hmm. I'll give it a try since i'm at a loss and noone seems to have any ideas. Please if ya do feel free to share them, I wish I didn't have to experiment like this on my own with not too much knowledge on mobiles. My computer knowledge rests in networking and random bits like Java :s AP comp sci helps not here
*insert happy dance*
slowly but surely i'm learning my way around this...I think
I have done the reverse now and got HSPL back on my phone. Currently I'm trying to install wither the stock rom via USB and bootloader or the Energy.Leo ROM one though both keep freezing about halfway through the install. It's rather annoying because it's happening at what appears to be random times. I'm still considering goign back to SPL and claiming their official update fragged my phone and I have no idea how but I want to keep this trying.
you're sending it back, right? well only the spl is important, doesn't matter about the rom.
so long as in bootloader it says 2.08.0000 or 2.10.0000 then you can send it back.
I think from what i'm hearing your Radio partition is **** up.
Or ur CID isn't working correctly.
Try flashing stock rom with a goldcard....
Or do a task29 and flash stock rom again.
Ended up figuring it out finally, afew days ago, new HD2 should get here tomorrow. I ended up putting the HSPL back onto it, flashing a custom ROM, upgrading it via USB/boot loader screen to the stock ROM that it came shipped with then downloading tmobiles from their site and putting the update onto it and everything is currently as it should be. Radios, ROM and SPL

Hello,
I'm about six hours into the process of trying to revive a nonfunctional HD2 that I purchased. I'm going batty!
Here is my status:
1) have installed SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE (0x05, 0x40) Cotulla HSPL
2) Have downloaded a few different roms (Chucky, TMO official, Energy) but they either get stuck at 0% or 9% (the highest it's gotten)
I'm getting pretty good at pulling the battery - it's like a new skill I never hoped to have!
I'm getting pretty frustrated because I've read about a hundred different posts on this site and I see that people are getting around this, but I'm starting to wonder if my phone has an issue that I can't resolve?
The phone doesn't boot up at all - it just says "Upgrade ROM code error, Please try again". Prior to my goofing with it, it just got stuck at the "Stick Together" screen. (Unwittingly bought it that way)
If I use the HSPL3_PKG to install/remove HSPL, it only works (connects to the phone) about one out of ten times, and out of the ~ten times I have gotten it to work, it only completed twice with a "We Hacked It" screen. The rest of the time it errors out just as I think it's getting the job done.
If I boot to the bootloader screen, I can put the USB cable in and see it change from Serial to USB (I've tried the thick and thin cables as some have suggested and haven't noticd a difference yet)
Then I kick of a rom update using the update utility that comes packed with it, and either the update process stops at 0% or it has made it all the way to 9%.
I'm in a position to get a replacement from TMO via the person who bought it (two for one, wife didn't like it, I bought it off of him) but I would rather not.
Any suggestions?

Once you have Hard-SPL on the device you don't need to worry about that anymore. Flashing Roms and radios will not overwrite it, that's what makes it "Hard". To make sure it's on there go into bootloader and it should show 2.08.hspl.
As for the radio, for TMOUS, just make sure it's a x.xx.50.xx radio (not a .51) and you'll be fine. If you have radio 2.10.50.xx you shouldn't have to change it.
So now I would try downloading one of the stock shipped Tmo ROMs (2.13 or 2.14). Then remove Sim and SD and go into bootloader, connect USB to PC and make sure it says USB on the device (not serial) and run the ROM Update Utility (RUU.exe). See if that works.
i also got this problem ,will try ur method n c
after hspl ,cant flash finish radio 2.14 it says ERROR (290) INVALID COMMAND.

You need HSPL..
HSPL done ,i tried a lot of files only Miri & Dinik n Duttys Leo Sense file can b flash successfully ,it went into menu once but now hang at htc startup again,,is this hardware problem?
i had the same problem last week. Drove me nuts.
i found there are more than one version of HPSL 3.
you have to download the latest one. for more info,
read my posts at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=789506&page=18
So you need HardSPL3 (the version is DarkForces Team HardSPL3 by bepe and Cotulla 21.06.2010)
If it still doesnt work, take a photo and post your screen
Still no go...
I have installed SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE (0x05, 0x40) Cotulla HSPL, the latest version I could find.
I just tried to flash RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.0_Radio_15.42.50.09U_2.14.50.04_LEO_1.5_Ship and it consistently flakes out at 8%.
I charged the phone all night, booted to the tricolor screen, kicked off the update as an administrator in Win7, the phone got to 8% and then the update flaked out on the PC - "The ROM update encountered communication errors during the update process" (Error [276])
I genuinely think that this phone is bunk - I'm just going to have the fellow I bought it from call in for a warranty replacement.
Thanks for your help, everyone...
SD card flash...
Hi,
I could not see it anywhere in this thread, and also I'm not certain if it is possible on a HD2. But on my xperia I'm usualy flashing from a SD card, copy the image over rename it as KOVSIMG.NBH (guess it would be something like LEOROM.NBH).
Than by pressing (and holding) volume down + power button while the device is off going to the boatloader screen which detects the card (must be inserted and flash from it IF there is the correct file loaded on the card.
Dude,
Did you actually download the HardSPL3 version from DarkForces Team?
If not, dont second guess anything. And if it works, you'll get your phone back.
The file name to download is "HSPL3_PKG.exe". Its by bepe and Cotulla 21.06.2010
If you downloaded the right version. it will support ALL LEO types, and all the SPL versions below:
SPL 1.42.0000
SPL 1.62.0000
SPL 1.66.0000
SPL 2.07.0000
SPL 2.08.0000
SPL 2.10.0000
you just select which SPL version to install in the Choose SPL screen. This version also disables the CID Check.
Dont knock it before you try it ..

Yes you are correct you can flash via SD card. You need a 4GB or lower SD card. This is not to say other higher GB SD card will not work, it is just that it has been stated many times the higher SD cards sometimes work to flash a ROM and sometimes don't. The card needs to be formatted with Fat 32. You have to find the RUU_(wharever).nbh and rename it to leoimg.nbh ( you almost got it righ tsnoffy lol) and copy it to your SD card. insert SD card into phone and hold the volume down botton down anx tap the power button keep holding the volume down button down until you see bootloader come up and say searching then let go of the volume down button. The ROM will flash.
Hello all... tried to be a little geek and installed a custom Rom (Artemis V32 with radio 2.12.50.02_2) and that went ok. Then I copied an Android version to my sd card, and that went also ok.
Then I installed a bootloader so I could choose Android or WM, that went ok too.
But since then I had some regular crashes in Android and also with WM.
I decided to install a stock Rom (found via Usenet; Stock ROM (NLD) 1.72.172.0 met radio 2.07.51.22_2 en SPL-1.66.0000 ) and things went bad.
I have tried all kinds of things so resolve the issue:
- Put the stock rom on the sd card (formatted fat32, size 4gig) and renamed it to loeimg.nbh and started it up with the volume button down: no success
Message:
PB1100 HX-BC
SPL-1.66.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
- Connected the hd2 with the original cable to my pc (Windows 7 Ultimate, and tried also WinXP SP3) and tried to install it via the .exe file from another stock rom I downloaded via the HTC website. No succes, the software starts-up, I can click yes, next, click yes again at "I completed the steps indicated above" and then I get the screen current information about your pda phone Image version does not mention any version at this point.
If I then click on update I get the screen that says from image version: to image version.
The from version is not filled in, so I think the fault has something to do with this.
After I clicknext 2 times I get the progress screen, but nothing happens then anymore. It keeps showing 0%
If anyone can help me out with this it would appreciate it a lot! And if you need any additional info, please let me know...
Thanks in advance,
Friendly greetings...
you no longer have hspl installed. It was removed by the (failed) stock rom from sd card flash attempt. In bootloader, see your spl ends .0000? that tells you hspl is gone.
Manually enter bootloader, connect usb, count to 20, run hspl2(right click run as administrator), choose 2.08.hspl.
When it completes, re enter bootlaoder (hold down vol as the phone restarts at 100%), wait for bootloader, wait for the word serial -> usb, run your rom flash over usb.
Thanks for the quick reply... as soon as I'm back home I'm going to try it out.. I'll post the result here..
something similiar happened to me some months ago..
should work
DN41
oh, and the reason the "from version" is blank is because that is read from the registry, but we put the phone in bootloader ourselves first so it can't see the registry. that's also why when you flash radios you see rom version info there. it can be ignored.
Do not forget to remove loeimg.nbh from your memory card before trying to flash under windows.
Thanks for the reactions... great to know I am not alone in this...
I performed the actions as described and I got the message "we hacked it"
I then tried to install a stock rom I downloaded but my phone turned off then at 11%
I have the idea that my battery is not loading anymore as I can't see the orange led burning when connected to the adapter/computer.
Ordered a new battery yesterday evening and will receive it normaly/hopefully today by mail. Then I will try again and share the results.
Thanks again all for the great support so far...
check the battery pins closely, hundreds of people have bent them poppng the battery out.
Ok, checked the connection of the pins.. these are ok I think.
Battery-led is still not showing went connected to usb.
So now my screen states the following:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CottulaHSPL 0x40
What rom can I now install? Only an official one?
I tried to download an official rom from the htc website (after inserting my serial), but when I run the
RUU_Leo_Vodafone_NL_1.72.172.0_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship it shows a message that the file is corrupt.. and this for about 6 times now...
I feel the noob-level is rising extremely now...

did you do anything to your device ?
i'm asking because i have the same problem and didn't do anything at that time, i had a few freezes which forced me to remove the battery and now its stuck on the white screen, i can't flash anything either. I wasn't trying to either before this happened to me, i had winmo 6.5.x running for months, pretty much untouched since i only use android now.
.) i did a hard reset, which went really fast and did nothing.
.) tried hspl 3 ( it says succesfully flashed, but when i load the bootloader the previous version is being displayed there.
.) tried to flash:
-stock rom from sd, i get stuck in the bootloader "serial"
basicly it just does nothing...
i used a 2gb mirco sd card for that, formatted in fat32. stock rom extracted and renamed the RUU_signed.nbh to leoimg.nbh. volume down + reset
-stock rom from pc/usb connection, error/timeout at 0% saying connection problems.
im running out of idea's, i got 1 month warranty left, but im afraid that it will do me no good since i used hspl
You need to update your spl to 2.08.hardspl AND you mostlikely need to flash your radio as well.
I found out that i made a mistake while trying to flash from sd, i didn't put the leoimg at the root of the sd so it didn't get detected. I managed to get rid of the white screen after flashing but its nowhere near functional. It also gave me an error during the flash, but it carried on and finished the flash eventually...
Now when i boot winmo it says something about microp mismatch, i tried two different roms to make sure it had nothing to do with the rom i was using, it didn't... i had the same problem with both. So my guess is that something is damaged, at least hspl is gone now so i can make use of my warranty again, for the people that don't have warranty left i hope somebody comes up with a solution, if there is one, everything points to hardware damage from my point of view. Would be interesting to know how your problem developed...! anyway good luck

Yeah sure i can do that, but before i do you need to tell me how you got that white screen in the first place. If it's not because of a failed flash attempt you probably want to keep your phone as it is now, so you can make use of your warranty... hspl makes that impossible!
It's probably a hardware problem, i looked up on that microp mismatch and it looks like a hardware failure, updating your software isn't going to solve that, it might solve the white screen issue, but the phone itself won't be functional. Try to explain what happened so i can give you proper instructions on what to do.
If you can start your phone and enter the bootloader there is no need to sent to service.
Enter bootloader and flash from there HSPL 2.08, and flash radio too.
After that flash MAGLDR and android rom.

With the phone off, press and hold the Volume Down button and then tap the Power button.
You will get a multicoloured screen with the word 'Serial' at the bottom. What else does the screen display?
What country and phone operator is the phone locked to?
if you want to install a custom rom or eventually android you are going to need hspl, there are enough guides and tutorials on how to do that on this forum, search for it.
if you just want to bring the phone back to life, running windows mobile, you can go to the htc website. Go to the support section and select your phone and look for available rom updates for your phone/serial number.
connect your phone to the pc and follow the instructions of the setup and upgrade... if the phone doesn't get detected, extract ruu_signed.nbn from the setup file and rename it to leoimg.nbn
put that at the root of your sd card formatted in fat32 and boot your phone holding down the volume down button. Follow the instructions, when its done you can reboot the phone and hopefully you can make use of it

Not really, i was able to do that and even flash an upgrade on the phone, but not without errors, the phone didn't function properly after the flash, so its very likely that something is damaged in my case. I send my phone to htc so they can repair it.

If you want to install a stock rom you should know what kind of WM has your HD2.
You may not be able to flash any stock rom. There are a lot of versions, regions and it may take some time to try all of them.(http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Leo)
If you do not know the version, as you say you have SPL 1.42.
If this is true you can change to HSPL and after that flash any rom you want, and android.
This should solve your problems.
So download the HSPL from the second post. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433)
Enter bootloader connect the USB cable and flash HSPL.Select 2.08 HSPL from the list.
If you succeed. If you check the bootloader you should see something like Cotulla HSPL 2-08.
Now you can flash any rom you want, the same way: download a rom of your choice, enter bootloader, connect usb cable and start the RUU utility.
If you want to flash android you have to upgrade the radio version.(the same way)
Flash MAGLDR.(the same way).
Flash android.(this is different).
If i am wrong, anybody feel free to correct me.
I would say also do a task29 that contains blank .nbh. you must have hspl 2.08 first to run this then install any custom ROM through PC or your branded ROM through SD card it should work. i hope this helps.

dude it works thanks alot
and thanks to every one who has tried to help me
rgds 4m kabir.
I've been going through threads for some hours now but haven't round a solution, so apologies if it already exists:
I've had a problem with my HD2 freezing. It's been sat in a drawer for a while but I thought I'd try and sort it out.
So first I did task29 and that seemed to go OK.
Next I tried to install the stock Vodafone ROM. It buzzed 7 times when the update started and then stuck at 9%.
Having failed to put a ROM on it I then followed the instructions to remove HSPL. When I start it (VOL down, LEOIMG.nbh on FAT32 formatted SD card inserted) it just goes to the tricolour screen and does not flash/load whatever the nbh file.
I put the phone in the fridge for a while and re-tried the ROM update and that reported success, but it won't boot so it's back in the fridge - I'm getting worried about the battery now.
I see someone else had the same problem removing HSPL but don't know what their solution was - am I missing something?
The phone is currently sat in the fridge because I think the 7 buzzes is a heat (processor) issue so assume it's knackered anyway but I still want to remove HSPL.
[thanks for moving the thread - apologies for putting it in the wrong place to start]
UPDATE: I've now successfully updated the ROM to standard UK Vodafone but still no joy with removing HSPL. I'm using a 2GB SD card FAT32 format file names LEOIMG.nbh but I just get the coloured screen. I'm using the nbh file from the current ROM. Tricolour screen reads:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
And then 'serial' or 'USB' at the bottom changing as I plug it in.
Rather than using SD card stock flash, which contains a radio, (your symptoms are often the fault of the radio) you should try running hspl2, and setting spl 1.66.0000
I've also got personal expwrince of spl 2.x refusing to downgrade to 1.x, even when SD flashing, so radio problems aside i now remove spl/hspl 2.x using hspl2.exe and only then perform the SD flash.
Need a little help here, my mate got a HD2 off ebay, which was stuck at android loading screen. I have no idea what the original owner flashed or didnt flash. I can get into the tri-colour screen ok and it shows 3.03 spl, but refuses to change to usb from serial. How can I get access to flash something onto this that will boot?

I've not been on the forum for a while since I got the Sensation - can you point me to an hspl2 thread for the why's, wherefore's & how to's?
Thanks.
EDIT: Found it thanks.
To change the SPL you need the device in bootloader mode (tri-colour sreen) than you connect the usb cable between PC and device. in the white section of the bootloader should say USB (if usb sync drivers on the PC are ok). next you need HSPL2.exe, HSPL3.exe or HSPL4.exe from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433 . depending on your current SPL/HSPL ver you'll choose one of them.
About the "It's working in the fridge" problem - sorry to hear that. It's pretty much fatal. Check out here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=982454
I just got back from repair an HD2 with the same problem, vibrating 7 times, ect., and it cannot be repaired. you need new main board but they are no longer produced, and even if you find one from china it's from 280-250 USD.
I hope it's not the same with you, but...
Well I did the HSPL2.exe thing and that was a piece of cake - HSPL now removed and ROM properly installed.
It still does the vibrate 7 times thing every now and again so it looks like it's going on ebay as junk
Note: I've seen a few similar threads with a problem like mine, but my HD2 is showing different error messages, so I thought I'd start a new thread to avoid making things worse.
---------------------------------
So I purchased a second hand HTC HD2 pretty cheap. It's the 512HD2 and it came flashed with a MIUI Android with a Samsung Galaxy S2-ish interface. Problem was, the battery got drained way too quickly, even from the most minimal usage, so I though I should flash back to the stock OS and get my problem solved so I could use the HD2 as a primary phone.
Here's what I did:
1. I followed jayceooi's tutorial.
2. I downloaded a ROM Update for HTC HD2 (3.14.405.2) from HTC's Official HD2 download page.
3. I opened up the .exe, got the .nbh, renamed it correctly, put it on the SD card and then verified it's really there with an Android file manager.
4. VolDown + PowerButton and I got to the rainbow menu thing (I know, I'm a noob and I don't know how it's called) then I let go of the keys and got to the update screen.
5. PowerButton - Update begins
6. 30 seconds later, only after about 1/4 of the bar had progressed, I got a black screen, and then a screen that says "Software update failed. Please try again". Afterwards the gray screen saying "Loading... 00028002 not allow". Finally, back to the RGB screen I got:
HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
And If i try to enter the boot mode via VolDown+PowerButton I get:
RUUNBH
HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
Update ROM code error
Please try again
Serial
---------------------------------
Should I try a USB flash or something?
Thanks in advance.
?
Nobody?
Update:
I tried to upgrade from 3.03.0000 SPL to the 3.03.0000 HSPL via USB in the boot mode, but I got a critical error and nothing happened on the device whatsoever - same state as the post above.
Any ideas?
probably wrong stock rom used, (or did you use the phones correct serial to download the rom?)
enter bootloader (three coloured screen)
connect usb
run hspl4
choose 3.03.hspl
back into bootlaoder
connect usb
run the 3.14 rom over usb.
EDIT - just saw your edit about critical error, , ,win7 64bit? try different usb ports, and try a different pc if you have one available, , hspl can be a little picky.

Unfortunately I have only one laptop with a 32 bit Win7, but it's OLD and crapfull of viruses so I'm not risking any failures there.
Do you think it will be safe to HSPL over VMWare (virtual OS environment inside of windows)?
P.S.: Exact model is the HTC HD2 T8585. I checked it via an IMEI checker.
there's a very good chance that hspl wont flash from a virtual machine. (Something about not getting low enough level access to the usb or something).

Ok, in that case I'll probably go over at a friend's house and try an HSPL there. I'll come back with some results as soon as I'm done.
Halfway done?
OK, so I got a good Windows 7 32 bit laptop and tried out HSPL4.exe by DFT. I kept my fingers crossed and, thankfully, I got to the "We hacked it! " screen.
After successfully updating and removing the USB cable, the phone rebooted with the same "Software Update Failed" message, but this time the gray screen showed the Cancel/Allow for the leoimg on the SD. I pressed the power button to attempt a flash, but I got the same issue as last time.
After that, the VolDown + PowerButton STILL showed:
SPL-3.03.0000
Since I'm not that stupid (I hope) I figured that the ROM reverts SPL and Radio to normal and that's why there was no trace of the HSPL, so I went back to the laptop to go at another 3.03.0000 HSPL. This time, after I got the "We hacked it! " screen I cancelled the ROM update and thankfully the RGB screen now reads:
P81100 HX-BC
SPL-3.03.HSPL XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
IN SHORT - The HSPL was a success, now if you help me find the right ROM, I would owe you my life!
lol, i draw the line at advising roms, for example ive never used an android rom with sense, or a MIUI rom, and i havent used a winmo rom in about a year,, so it would be unfair of me to guide you.
ROM
Edit - Okay, thanks for all your help!
P.S.: I just ran an Task29 to get rid of the constant Software Update error at each boot and now I can boot into the RGB screen without the RUUNBH error so I think that will make things easier. I'll probably find the ROM myself or ask somewhere else.
Thanks again!!!
thanks

if you were a girl I would kiss you
You saved my day. I was searching for my problem since 3 days and this has solved the problem
Finally Done!
@ParmakSokan - Hey! Looks like I'm not the only one samsamuel helped!
A little update - I finally have the phone in working condition! It is now running the stock Windows Mobile 6.5 specific for O2, since I figured out the device was purchased in the UK.
For anyone interested, I got the ROM from the official library of HD2 ROMs in 4shared, which I believe is held together thanks to xda-developers, so yeah - yet another KUDOS for that!
The HTC Sense UI is simply beautiful and I think I will actually stay with 6.5 for a few more months before considering 7.5 Mango.
P.S.: Moderators can mark the thread as solved.
