Hi. Last month I bought a LG Fathom (which is a Verizon phone). It is a WM 6.5.3 phone and supports both CDMA and GSM, it has both MEID and IMEI number. In the past month, I ordered many unlock codes from different sellers but they couldn't find it. I need to find that 8 digit unlock I'm ready to pay anything to unlock my phone, so if you even know something like "Octopus Box" for LG Fathom, I will be very happy to learn that. Please share any of your opinion with me, I really need your help to unlock that phone. A Verizon unlock seller, a box fro LG Fathom or an unlocker application will be very nice. Please help me
Thanks

I have an Lg Optimus L9 P769 from MetroPcs; I want to switch to a different carrier,
but my phone is service provider locked. I called metropcs customer service to get the
unlock code, but I don't have service on my phone, so they won't give it to me. I read a
few threads that talked about this problem, and most said to buy a code from ebay; the
codes are cheap (around $2 USD), but I currently have $0 and don't get payed for two
weeks. So, is there any way I could unlock my phone without paying? Maybe through flashing it?
Any help is appreciated.
EDIT:
Would it be possible to call LG and get the unlock code?
I am having the same problem, did you managed to unlock the sim card?
Thought it would be easier to unlock it, but seems all web pages charge for this service..
My phone is the LG L9 P768G

I have a tmobile lg g5 and I want to unlock it so it can be used in Singapore. I have tried one unlocking site but they gave me a full refund so i am now thinking maybe its to early for an unlock code for the new lg g5. I am still making payments on the phone maybe thats why? Is there a way to unlock my phone? Thanks
I dont have the G5 yet, but i will be buying it soon.
Isnt the LG G5 like most of the GSM phones? if so you only have to enter a simcard from another carrier and it should allow you to put the code you buy from whatever website you are using. or even Tmobile can give you the code if you ask them. In addition to what i have said, i looked into that after i saw this thread, and i have seen a video on youtube of someone unlocking his AT&T version just like i explained. maybe you can use another website to get the code, or ask directly to tmobile.
I purchased the phone 2nd hand off someone, was able to set up my metro account on it, but because the previous owner didn't pay it off in full, at&t won't give me the unlock code. Is there any way around this? I can't really afford to be out the amount I spent on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all and have a good one
Same for me when for unlock sim!!!! I am with bell.sprint second hand phone , and sprint dont want to give me unlock code bevaise i dont have all information about last owner
Hello guys!
Does anybody know some source of unlock codes for att lg g8x? I need to unlock one.........
Good day guys, just to let you know that in Movical they were able to unlock the G8X from At&t, mine has financed status but with clean IMEI and when I tried on EBAY and other unlocking sites they told me that the code was not found in their database but at last in Movical they were able to do it, they use the remote method to unlock it
Hi, I have been a longtime T-Mobile customer. I bought a used LG G5 H830 from a local electronics store when my previous T-Mobile phone broke.
I just want to carrier unlock the darn thing so I can use other sims traveling. T-Mobile says they can't do it unless it's a T-Mobile phone.
Services want more than the phone is even worth to unlock it online. There has to be a generic unlock code by now I would think.
It has a clean IME. Is there a way to find out what the original carrier may have been? Then I may be able to contact them to unlock it.
The store said possibly Metro PCS which is now T-Mobile.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm a poor student hence why I have this phone, but it is a great phone. Thanks
i just wanted to start a thread for the japanese version of this phone which seems nobody have. you can get them cheap from japan for less than 100 USD that's locked to one of the big 3 there. I got a softbank one and asked around so far there is no way to defeat the sim lock. the device can have bootloader unlock option is there. is there a way to remove sim lock once the phone is rooted? sony is nice you can use qunlock tool and doesn't matter what lock. my first time messing with LG and an oppo that is another story, waiting for some indian dude to send the 16 digit code. the LG i asked ebay services and one website so far nobody can unlock it. so i come here to see if there are other ways to unlock it.
also are the hardware the same as other v60? i know sony xperia have different modem hardware and have some bands locked down.
these are nice enough for the price you can enjoy for audio and home or toddler use.
I don't know the answer to your specific question but I will tell you I tried getting a remote sim unlock (from a site that seemed to have good reviews) and it ended up bricking my phone. The only reason it's booting again now is from help from a member on here. The problem now is it has no imei number at all.
Before I tried the remote unlock I bought an unlock code from 2 different websites the first refunded me in a few hours saying they could not unlock my device and the second one never sent anything or refunded so I've sent an email to them.
So I would be wary of the remote unlocks if you found any available.
so far i tried 3 companies.
1. unlockbase, payment goes to unlockjp.com, sent 10 usd, said will refund, this one is for an oppo phone. this one you have to chat with whatsapp and original wanted to send money with SBI bank, DBBL bank, BML, USDT Tether us, all Indian stuff and also take paypal just a little more money. the guy on the chat seems nice. even has their own facebook page, i'll give them a few days to refund.
2. the unlocking company, also can't find code for the LG and will refund take up to 10 days. will wait, very good communications from this one.
3. cellunlocker.net, pretty much refund the same day, this one is good company.
i gave up unlocking the oppo and LG, AU and Softbank respectively for now. just gonna pay for the two sony phone unlock with qunlock. can't go wrong with that one. just some info for the internet if they come across these companies. i will write back when i get money back for the first two.
Oppo has a software unlock but i think only works for the older models.
