I have installed V.2 at my Old Gene; the ROM seems very fast so far! But, I can't find "Internet Sharing" tool anywhere! Have you removed it or is it just me!? I use my phone as modem very freq. at my laptop... If you have removed it please suggest me any alternative solution...

checkout your download section and see the number of downloads...n relax..at weekends people hardly come on the forums..so dont let urself down thinking of no feedbacks..just keep up the good work..
Also,keep the rom light and simple in order to improve speed and stability.have mercy on gene's 201Mhz processor.let people install softwares externally.

This project have two things in mind: Speed and Storage Space.
First part(Speed):
It will be the lightest ROM you can find. It´s optimized for speed and storage space so you can use it to make your own personalized ROM. Just have the essencial SO apps and some basic 3rd ones.
You can say it´s like an Windows XP after instalation, it´s clean for you.
Second part(Storage Space):
Because this ROM have only the essencial things in it, you have an huge storage space to install whatever you want.
And because there are no old versions build in the ROM, no files will be replaced so no duplicated space is wasted. Incompabilities and errors caused by instalations over older versions are gone with NIKI Lite ROM.
I will make an list with the most used apps, so you can download and install them as you wish.
With SRS WOW HD wavedevice sound driver build in the ROM:

Great idea, is it possible for you to include User Customization in the rom. It is very light and it gives people the ability to automatically install all the apps and customization they want from their storage card.
Here is a OEM package to include it in the rom. More info on UC you can find here.
One thing ppl usually forget to pre-install in their roms is the oficial htc 2nd camera fix.
You can get it from the htc.com site by registing or here:

You can always gain some more free RAM if you disable some devices/services that you don´t need.
I´m planing to release the final ROM in several versions, like one version Lited but with all services, other version Lited but with unecessary services disabled, etc. More to chose from...
The base Lite ROM will have 83/82MBs of free RAM, 84MBs is easy to reach...

I´m beta testing the ROM for the past week, some fixes here and there, now it´s more like one RC(Release Candidate) version, so next week, if no problems came up, I will release it.
I´m trying my best to find all the possible problems and fix them, I want to release a good ROM and that needs time.

Here are some drivers that I´ve added/updated:
NEON drivers, with JPN NEON DDI.dll(testing) and touch.dll, Diamond´s DXrender.dlls, SRS WOW HD wavedv.dll sound driver and new CIF.dll fixed from HTC. Still testing QTV.dll and qtv_mp4_decoder.dll.

Keep it cool yaar.givin a 3 days time.i feel ankit was right.but if you need more time,pavan u should have specified ur reason atleast.
Keep up the good work.i was about to take this descision,but since i dont have the gene right now in my hands to customize, i took a back.No releasing a rom before testing.

Bro in common if we close a app we say its minimized but actually its put to hibernation mode that this same as in pc. This is useful as when app r in hibernation mode they are in memory so that when u switch to that app it quikly comes -- in simple words its minimizing

Hey the kitchen used was none other than ervius visual kitchen for gene.

That if fine but need the sys and Ext xip - if you could share the one you had used the xactly same then i will just modify few things which i generally do when i like any rom.

i want u to refine this ROM more...... by adding these basic packages more ...
1> PIM backup
2> Audio Booster
3> Oxios hibernate(how could u leave this out??? its the most required thing.... )
Good things about this ROm
1> NO wm6.5 lockscreen ..... thats good.... it takes too much RAM... good u included the older version...
2> High RAM.... thats the best thing about this ROM
3> Very Nice Icons.... good job...
well Akhil..... do refine this ROM even more .... it will be great.... if u want more tips as to wat to add and how to add them .... ask any of the senior members..... they will help u
P.S. I personally liked this ROM very much..... but for the things ive mentioned(and some more that i cant remember right now ) i had to pit this ROM away and stick to another one...

1> NO wm6.5 lockscreen ..... thats good.... it takes too much RAM... good u included the older version...
2> High RAM.... thats the best thing about this ROM

well Akhil..... do refine this ROM even more .... it will be great.... if u want more tips as to wat to add and how to add them .... ask any of the senior members..... they will help u
P.S. I personally liked this ROM very much..... but for the things ive mentioned(and some more that i cant remember right now ) i had to pit this ROM away and stick to another one...

Oh first of all this is akhil's first rom so he tried the best to keep bug free rom
u can see improvements in the coming versions, and about oxios hibernate neither me knew about that as iam a opal user and nor akhil so its required we will see that.

DJ_Series Version B-1 with the COM 2 branch 21897.This is a naked rom...nothing installed...not even my dialer.So,ppl r free to install whatever they want to install and enjoy the stabilty and speed....make sure that u dont report me any bug after installing anything of ur choice.yes,bugs,pre installing any apps,r welcomed and i am here to fix that.

because I saw that wm 6.5 the old one (start in the top and contact oldy but I like the dialer0
in fact I saw that v-8 is very fast for touch than that version...

actually 21897 is much newer than 28230.since 21897 is a com2 branch that's y the start button on the top and a lot of stuffs like old one,but again MS has been releasing COM2 almost regularly.
moreover this ROM is for those ppl who like old style/want my ROM/with their choiced apps/thereby lots of space.
I will monitor,and decide later whether to continue development for COM2 or not.

This is a perfect rom for me. Best for customization. It maximized all available memory. No extra fancy apps. It is stable and fast. Free from bugs and almost flawless...the only minor flaw here is the missing messaging icon and unssuported google map icon. Not a big issue,and it can be easily fix. may experience a scrolling lag but a quick screen allignment will resolve it.
Overall...a good perfect base rom!

i am happy that u r glad...u can always find me to support not only my work but any other rom problems also.since i personally dont use com 2...so i may take some time to fix if any bug.....but believe me i will be here for further developement also with com 2.
messaging icon can be put on the home screen by u also,if u need that.i have omitted messaging icons from all my roms.once u install google maps..u will get the icon of the same mate.
plz feel free to suggest/request any thing related to rom

today i installed this rom, and everything seems to work fine... but i the camera is not working, and when i try to open the camera the device goes slow and there wont be sound after i do a sof reset

This rom Supports Trackball alert! Trackball Wake and unlock and many kernels! Check Rodriguez topic for all the capable kernels I just use the stock since its nice fast and doesnt drain my battery...

Yeah I added his name and PMed leonnib4 always thought his name was LeoFroyo... :S added it and keeping the screenshot of his about screen

Its basically my theme added some of Manups stuff like the androids if there is no contact picture and the backgrouns during a call. The rest I found bit by bit and photoshoped everything else to my liking such as the launchers highlights which I will keep working on the launcher
I will upload a morph zip if you would like just have to read a bit on it

Bluetooth works perfectly fine use it all day! aswell as flash! I didnt include flash in the rom but you can easily snag it fom the market
Next update Ill include flash seems impotant

Flashplayer is exception, hehe ... "simple", yes, it's very great for me

Never really bothered me but you can if you want just the radios are on my server so there is really no need to re up them

Use the spare parts to enable froyo app2sd there is no ext app2sd causes too many force closesand causes too many reboots. Stock app2sd can be enabled in the tweaks tab in spare parts
