HD2 lags when receiving sms or email - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my HD2 that is annoying the heck out of me! Whenever I receive an sms/mms or email, my HD2 lags and completely freezes whatever program/app/game/browser i am running until the sms/mms or email actually is displayed on the phone. in some cases, ill have to remove the battery and reboot since the phone hasnt recovered after freezing.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? if so, is there a solution? Im in dire need of a fix to this messaging "bug". it would make life sooo much easier
btw im using the stock t-mo us rom 2.13.531.1 WWE, 2.10.xx.xx radio, and manila 2.5.2012

Screwy SMS with T-Mobile PPC?

I've been using an XDA 1 (T-Mobile Version) with rom 4.01.00 and 6.24.01 radio stack.
Lately I've been having a lot of problems with people I send SMS to either not getting the messages at all, or they are garbled.
Anyone else having this trouble?

3DES.3 ROM Exploited? Racking up long distance charges???

Okay, so I've never posted here before.. I've only lurked enough to figure out how to install a WM6 ROM on my phone.
I've been having a lot of problems with my Hermes lately (can't make/receive calls, sim missing, text messages not sending or receiving)... I have not figured out if it's from dropping it too much or if it's because I'd been running a WM6 rom on it. So I decided on Saturday to switch to another version of the WM6 ROM's available around here...
I installed 3DES.3 and so far I've been having more and more issues as far as making and receiving phone calls.
So the issue is that with the slider closed I'd go to the phone screen and then t9 in a user's name and then call them. The call would not connect... I kept trying and normally wouldn't notice the number it's trying to dial, but the phone is trying to dial a 107140 in front of every call made through the t9 dial menu.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is the ROM trying to make long distance calls on our behalf? Should it be taken off the website?
Thanks guys,
Mitchel

the ROM you are talking about isnt exploited to my knowledge... but it is old and i think 3DES has stopped supporting it...
you are also in the wrong Forum... you should have posted in Hermes Windows Mobile 6... download this ROM and try it...
Thanks for the fast reply. I'll switch over to that ROM. Something is definitely up with this ROM though.
Thanks again,
Mitchel

Serious SMS issue

I was using the old VZW stock ROM for a long time until they released the newest version. I flashed the new ROM and ever since I've had nothing but problems with my contacts and SMS. I have fixed nearly every problem but one....
While I'm texting using the phone keypad, it will randomly freeze from 1-10 seconds and then continue typing again. It only does this while composing an SMS in both standard and threaded format. The phone is completely fine otherwise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Incoming MMS shrink on certain custom ROMs

Anytime I flash a custom rom other than CM7, my incoming MMS messages shrink to about 23kb. ALLLL incoming MMS, even those I send to myself.
They show as being 128k, but when downloaded shrink.
I'm on T-mobile usa and the problem seems to be that the handset is not recognized on the T-mo usa network.
As soon as I flash CM7 the problem is solved because of the "custom user agent" setting in the messaging app.
I'd stick with CM7, but it doesn't have wifi calling
Is there any way to change the sms useragent in other ROMS?
Or has anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution?
And I'm 99.9% sure the isn't APN related, in case that comes up.
Thanks in advance!
same here
has anyone found anything? have the same problem, i'm on openOptimus build 2.202.1 and i read Gosms can fix it! not sure.. about to try it out but not a big fan of it! i use handcent sms but problem is still there!
i guess i'm stuck with GoSMS lol! i installed it and i'm happy to report that pics come at full size!!

[Q] No message on new sms and not receiving some sms (ST25i FXP215)

Hi everyone!
Since I'm not writing so many sms I only recently came to notice, that my phone doesn't notice my if there are new sms (no blinking light and so message in the message stack nor in the status bar). I even don't receive some sms.
As for the phone signaling that there are new sms, I can only think that this may be caused by the standard sms app from the FXP215...
But I can not understand at all why some messages just don't get through to me (even after weeks and months)...
Does anyone have experience with these problems and maybe know of a solution?
I'm currently using FXP215 on my Xperia U (ST25i) and don't want to return to stock because the stock rom sucks and drains battery as hell...
Kind regards,
hakaishi
A few days ago I was still on FXP216 when this happened again and then I went back to FXP215... Others are experiancing this too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1876927&page=247
