[Q] Quad camera app for Android? - Vibrant Themes and Apps

Does anyone know if there is an app for Android that is similar to the Quad Camera app for the Iphone? It takes four pictures in a row really quickly and saves them on the same screen so it looks like the screen is quartered. I love the camera on my Vibrant but really miss this one app from my Iphone 3gs. I have tried the photo booth apps but those take a while to take each picture. I would really appreciate any info.

Ddo none of the the camera options in the device help? I know we have alot of camera settings including multiple shots, takes 9 in a row.. plus action.. I did a review on it at androidspin dot com.. I'd link it to ya but it won't let me.

androidfreak,
I tried all the settings in the camera. The multi-shot takes the pictures as separate pictures and it's blurry when I move. Thanks though.

Search "MultiShot" in Android Market. I think that is what you are looking for. Its not a free app though.

Picture app to take n view pics

So, is it just me or do I find the stock gallery app very sluggish and horrible in viewing pics. It's very slow, lags a lot and jumpy when you zoom in and out. I hate to say this, but compared to the iphone's picture viewer, the atrix's gallery app is years behind. Even my work Bb bold 9650 has a better picture viewer. Does anybody know an app that can replace the gallery on this phone, something that performs smoothly n cleanly?
Also, I find the pics I take really inferior to any other phones I used, even those that are of the same MP. I find the pics very grainy and not sharp, and the colors are a bit off. Is this software related within the phone or hardware? If software, any apps out there I can use to take pics?
Thank you for any suggestions.

YES, YES, AND YES! I know exactly what you mean. The zooming and all was just TERRIBLE. I can't even believe they let the phone pass with a gallery as sh1tty as that one! Anyways, I used the Gallery 3D app straight off the Nexus. It works great. (attachment down below. Make sure you have non-market apps enabled with super one click)
Yeah the camera app and the stupid gallery is horrible. They have the same **** gallery on the droidX and presumably the other ones.
The stock 3D gallery is better, but doesn't function 100%. Very small things are off like the pictures will be out of order for some reason.
Also, reviewing the pictures from the camera app will just dump you into a jumbled field of images if you use the 3d gallery. For previewing from the camera app, you still gotta use the stupid Moto gallery if you wanna have a chance of finding your picture...
I tried to install the captivate camera app. no luck... :-( This frikin atrix doesn't even have touch to focus. Don't know what they were thinking.
i use " just picture " i like it
pretty snappy
Oh man the gallery 3d is sooooo much much better than blur's stock gallery app. Downloaded it from the market n it flies so fast in this phone. But yeah still gagging the issue where when viewing camera roll using it jumbles all the pics together regardless of date or folder.
Alright so all we need now is to find a good free app for the camera. Can't we use the stock nexus camera just like we use the stock nexus gallery? Isn't nexus's apps are basically just plain vanilla Android app which should work on any Android phone that is rooted? V

I personally use Quick Pic in Market. Fastest Gallery app. Period. It's a shame it can't be used to view from the camera.

Oh, this one is good too, although not as snappy as fluid as the gallery 3D. However, the pictures seems to come out more vivid and sharper, with smoother color gradients compared to Gallery 3D. I like both
We still need a camera app. Oh, wait, try vignette on the market. They have a free one that's limited function but this camera app works with gallery 3D very well.
I use camera 360
its decent and give me enough controls over the stock camera

Are you able to save edits to pictures taken from Camera360? I can take the pics just fine but if I go in to the gallery (using gallery3d from the app store) and edit them I'm unable to save the edits. I can edit/save pics from the default camera app just fine.

this app is great!!
the best camera app I thought was im the captivate as it had anti-shake. I cant figure out how to get it to install on the Atrix though.

fast burst camera app

i have a 6 month old and it is sometimes kinda hard to get the right shot so i figured i would give this a shot. the free one is great so i got the full version and i keep getting a force close. anyone else want to try this out?
is there any other apps suggested?
Try vignette on the market. I believe I saw fast burst or something similar under one of the options.
They have both free and paid, try free first to see if the options available but you'll be limited to a very low res. If you like it, buy the full version, it's an awesome app for taking pics
is the full app high res pics?

Oh yes, the full extend of the phone, which is 5MP, and I feel gives better pic quality than the stock camera app. Plus you can manipulate the pics with different settings, like soft halo, pic grain, b&w, etc.
found this on another site... pertaining to the burst mode...
The Fast Shot mode skips the preview and returns to the viewfinder so you can carry on taking photos as quickly as possible. Fast Shot also disables auto focus to make the photo taking as quickly as possible.
Dev reply
Hi,
I am the developer of Fast Burst Camera. I would of course like to fix your issue. Please email me at [email protected] with details.
Also, it would be be helpful if you - when the "force close" dialog appear - that you select the "report" option and send the details of the crash. I will recieve that information, which will tell me exactly where the app failed
thanks,
Peter
I am reading aout this app.
Are you saying that it will hi speed shoot with the flash operating, too?
If the answer is yes, its a buy.
this is MINE.

[Q] Is there Camera App that takes pic without processing? Best quality?

Hi all, I'm new here and to the android world,
I have a Q:
I am coming from the graphic design and Photoshop and I knew few things about camera and image processing and after looking in the camera app on android I cant find good app that can just take a pic without processing! (sharpening, noise redaction, etc)
I wonder why no 1 made such app that gives the user option to take the natural photo prom the sensor without the stupid image processing algorithm!
I want the natural photo and edit it later in pro software (Photoshop)
Is the app like this?
I'm not sure if it processes images by default as it has effects that can be manually applied in post photography which might mean it takes pictures unprocessed, but I use a replacement camera app called camera zoom fx and it takes much better pics than my phones default camera app so it might be an option to try.
It also has more pre photograph options and modes such as burst and timelapse modes and more ways to control how the picture is taken such as metering controls.
Its not free but there may be a trial version. I bought it when android market had a sale offer on its top apps but its worth even normal full price.

Actually, I like the idea of RAW image format for Android camera. Is it possible?
There are a handful of great camera apps, some free, some not. I like to use Nemus camera, Camera effects ,and Fast burst, these are all free apps. The first two have some cool effect on them and the last app lets you take 30 shots per second. There is one called Camera Zoom FX that is 2 or 3 bucks. I haven't used it but I have read good things about it. Hope that helps.
If you are talking about app that takes no time and provide good quality selfie or pic. I recommend Camera 365 Beauty app...

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10 camera field of view

Hi. I'm using cyanogenmod 10 for almost 3 weeks . The camera which came with cm10 is showing less field what actually is.
Are the photos it saves a normal field of view? In other words is the problem only with the view in the camera app or is it with the saved photos too

This picture is shown in the gallery. You can see my printer is in view. (left side)
Also you can see the light switch(left side) is in the view
For second picture,
But in this picture you can't see my printer and my light switch.
I didn't move the camera btw just took a screenshot then pressed the capture
Any ideas?
You can't bump a thread more than once every 24 hours
I believe this is done because of the aspect ratio of your screen and the photos your camera takes. If the photo fov were to be used in the camera, there would be black bars in the camera app. You can try using another camera app from the play store to fix this.

If you don't have anything to add to the conversation, please don't post. If you have a problem with another persons post, use the report button rather than being pathetic by trying to suck up to moderators and increase your post count.
I'm sorry. I didn't know that . Do I have to use 3rd party camera apps. Or can developers fix this problem in next updates. And can you advise me a good 3rd party app. Thanks for your help.
Do you have photo stabilization by any chance? That does reduce the fov.
No I don't have photo stabilization.
Try an app in the store called "lg camera" from memory that's the name. It has black bars which is what you want
NO no no this is not that I wanted. Actualy when I take photos with my friends they can't be seen before shooting.so sometimes they seen out of the fov but when I take photos they are in the fov. I don't want black bars or something. I mean I want to take a photo which looks exactly same in the preview.my post which has an attachment will show my problem.

Simply HDR app alternative

I was an iphone 5 user and made the switch over to the Note 2 recently. One thing I miss is this app called Simply HDR. It's a faux HDR that added some neat effects. I'm no photographer at all so I don't understand your basic photo settings which is why simply HDR was great because you could just choose a pre set and be done.
Does anyone know of an app that does pretty much the same thing, maybe one that I missed?
I have tried pretty much all apps i come across and the only one that comes close is HDR fx. Downside is it is way over done and the photos look over processed and terrible. There is also very few pre sets that create the desired effect.
Have you tried

Are you running a Custom ROM? The aosp cameras have an hdr function.

So far ive tried a lot of different apps. I like the best 'Fotor' and 'Camerace'. The best photo editor is either PicsArt or Aviary.

I purchased the following apps and have had great success with them.
You can see some photos taken with Pro HDR Camera on my Flickr @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/
Pro HDR Camera
HDR FX Pro (Have to play with the settings quite a bit to get the desired effect)
Perfectly Clear (Used to clean up images before sending to HDR FX or perform additional touch-ups after processing with HDR FX)
Pixlr Express (Used to clean up images before sending to HDR FX or perform additional touch-ups after processing with HDR FX and useful for resizing images)
You may also want to take a look at Vignette Camera and Camera FV-5. In my opinion, Camera FV-5 gives you the most control over the settings and pics.
Hope this helps

Hey im back... you can continue with life =)
Unfortuantely the only app that gets close to what im looking to accomplish was photo fx but it was way over processed looking. Ive got to spend time tinkering.
I got an email from the guys at Simplyhdr/JixPix and they plan in releasing simply HDR on android soon hopefully. Its not a natural hdr which most if the apps here seem to be doing actualy hdr function...taking multiple photos and stitching them together. Simlly hdr takes one and creates an hdr effect that seems more dramatic. Hard to explain.
try this...
