Is it able to play music with being in silent mode? Cuz when I listen to music on my headphones , and recieve a message , I don't want either ringtone , or vibration. I find this "bug" really annoying...
Is there any fixes?

go into settings-> sound and display -> and set the "single volume" slider button to off. Then you when you use the volume rocker to change your volume you can mute the ringer volume while leaving the music(system) volume intact

This can't work since the SMS Sound is part of the system sounds...
So you still hear the SMS sound when you have Ring turned all the way down.
I also want to know how to do that!
Exactly , I already tried that method.
So I guess there's no solution for this problem.
Farewell then...
I've got the latest energy rom installed. Recently realized the ring volume is really soft but volume is at 100%. If I go sounds and notifications tab and click the play button to preview the ringtone, it is the normal volume.
Any idea what's going on? Even notifications are normal volume. Only ringer and maybe SMS. A regedit fix would be helpful... I've toyed around in there to no avail.
Thanks!
Does anyone know how to disable the sound that occurs when lowering or raising the volume when using the volume rockers?
I have checked in /system/media/ui and there is no file that produces the sound there.
The sound that is made when adjusting volume is the same as the sound made when the camera tries to long focus. I found out how to disable that and I will post a link below. I suspect that a similar method will work to disable the volume rocker sound but I'm not smart enough to figure it out. Thanks xda!

Can someone help me make my Flyer, running stock, but rooted, 2.3.4, volume buttons only control media volume? When I first got it, it did media volume only, and I prefer that since it stays on vibrate for notifications. I did the OTA updates for 2.3.4 and they changed it to controlling notification volume if not in a program (or any sound playing), and it drives me nuts!
Hello,
Im really satisfied with my phone.
Im OK with the speaker volume while listening podcasts or anything that uses it.
But, when I make any videocall (whatever app), the volume sound is so low!!!
Is there anyway to increase it on videocalls?
Thanks
are you sure you are adjusting call volume instead of just media volume? when you're on a call and adjust the volume, you can click the down arrow on the volume notification and adjust each volume individually
