I found this website:

They have a game listed for free, and show the HD2 as a listed device.
However, I'm not sure how to download or install it. Any help would be appreciated.
"You need to print this tag to play", maybe a pdf virus?
Mods
It seems fishy , let a Moderator know and see if it has virus. I would do it myself but Iam out of town and dont have my computer with me.
Wow! This would be the first Augmented Reality TD game I've ever seen for WinMo!
The PDF should be a printout that you place on a table so that the game can build the table's surface into the gameplay!
Hope this works well.
Hi Guys,
Would this work for the ' HD ' ?

How about trying for yourself and let us know
It seems that's the pdf isn't a virus
my norton virus scanner says: it's clean
This makes no sense. How does pointing my camera at a piece of paper start the game?? No application required or mentioned on the site??
you guys really need to read up on augmented reality, basically print out the card with the dots on then the game will use your phones camera, you point the camera at the card and the game engine magically using the printed card as a reference for the camera angles to control a 3D rendering engine, move the phone around the printed card making sure you are pointing at the card control your viewing perspective of the game.
see, youtube even has videos of people playing this game, all you have to do is search a little to find answers to your own questions:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k56ZtfZYG7E
well...
it seems that no .cab exists for now for WM.
but it's already ok for Bada on Samsung Wave :
http://www.samsungapps.com/topApps/topAppsDetail.as?productId=G00000075347&listYN=Y
(appstore samsung, France)
For more details :
- download and install the application
- print the pdf (clean, without virus)
- put the printed sheet over table
- play
of cours, you will need to have installed the game first... and as no .cab for WinMo...
Funny, very funny...what about the controls? Realy funny thanks

All well and good, but where is the actual game? Are you saying that simply pointing my phone camera at the square will start the game? How is that possible? Game looks great in the video, but I can't find anything on the site resembling an installable file.
EDIT: Apparently, this is vaporware for now. Why put up a demo video for a program that doesn't exist?

Hi Folks,
I'm the CEO of int13, the company behind this game.
ARDefender is currently released only on the Samsung Wave (Bada OS) but the game is running on Windows Mobile, Symbian, Android and iPhone.
Samsung paid to have the game released for free on their flagship device, we're discussing with us about the release of game on other platforms/devices.
We can't say when it will be released at the moment.
PS: Very funny how paranoid you guys are, concerning the evil pdf

Hello Sir, thanks for developing such a wonderfull app for Windows Mobile.
However, considering that the HD2 is the smartphone's King of Kings, we would really like to see the game available for this platform, morover it will be the first SERIOUS agumented reality game for Windows Mobile, and this can even take more developers to use that technology on Windows Mobile instead pointing their heads on the stupid, luser-oriented iPhone by Steve "Blow" Jobs.
Thanks for your attenction, Sir.

I hope that it's a springboard for your company. While I believe we'd see the best game performance on a device like the HD2... I have a TouchPro2 and would also love to play it.
Good Luck. Hope to be hearing alot more about int13 in the NEAR future!

Windows Phone7 is shaping up too be a monster. Well as far as gaming is concerned. As much as they are concentrating on gaming, they should call it Xbox mobile7 hahahaha.
Can other people who found online photos of windows phone games post it here so we can have a collection.
Wow...
That is so fake it actually made me cry a little.
First person shooters are barely playable with a console controller; What makes you think a touchscreen will be remotely playable?!
How do you move, aim, and shoot at the same time?!

Well at least at launch it will only be asynchronous multiplayer. I want realtime multiplayer and adhoc multiplayer! Hopfully it won't be too long before we get them.

Um no. Xtrakts is a 3rd person shooter, Assassins creed is a 3rd person adventure game. Doom is the only one you listed that is a FPS. You should learn what your talking about before you accuse others of making silly comments.
I h8 that way online gaming got on consoles. And that bad way jumps over to you phones and computers. Online register, payed updates, completely dependent on the vendors servers etc..
Also it is impossible to play on Phone agains Computer or XBox players ->
Mouse>Gamepad>Finger
some people love to disagree
Xtracts, assasins creed, and doom all example of complex games that people thought werent possible. Now I gone online and scoped out infomation. Iam not about to put everything I know here that would take pages. So for nagle go look online and research before you jump gun ready to attack. The information is all out there. Well I was in no way attacking I'm just correcting you. 3rd person= you seeing the character your playing, example xtrakt and assassins creed. First person = you looking through the characters eyes, doom is a great example of this. But as far as playing any newer FPS on a phone, yes they can make it happen but I highly doubt it would be remotely enjoyable. Even FPS on the psp suck because of not having dual analog sticks.

microsoft
Now microsoft has made it where you can play indiana jones on the phone save your game and continue it on your XBOX . Thats amazing!!
The title is very misleading
The title suggests I can be playing any Xbox 360 game, online against my mates, then simply pick up my phone and carry on. This is exactly what Microsoft want - people spreading incorrect rumours that they themselves are not responsible for.
There will be some games that you can play on the Xbox 360 and then continue to play on your phone, but it will only be games that are designed to do this. This will not include the big blockbusters. As it's already been pointed out in this thread, it is simply not possible to play a fully fledged 1st person shooter (a real one - not some pretend one) on a touchscreen, with full control. It's taken years for the console developers to come up with the current controllers, and they can't be replaced with 2 thumbs on a touchscreen.
If I'm wrong and it turns out that a future rendition of Call of Duty does work on WP7, then I take all this back and thoroughly look forward to sitting at my console and seeing you online on your phone, because you won't stand the slightest chance.
not misleading at the time was posted but there have been changes
Yes when this was 1st posted Microsoft had said that you be able to play mulit-player against other players. Now that everything is finalized Microsoft has said games made with XNA will be able to be played online against XBOX players. The title has truth I never said any game . Honestly I myself wont be developing for windows phone7 , I stick to 6.5 because I dont see too many people buying this new phone.

That wasn't a silly comment.
These games may look good, but they are not of the level of games on a console platform. That particular game has 1 analog stick for both movement and looking. This will never please a real gamer. Consider that a modern day console has 2 analog sticks, a direction pad, 4 main buttons, 4 front buttons, and the 2 sticks can both be used as buttons as well as moving and looking, at the same time! That's too much to put on a touchscreen, so a phone will never be as good as a console. It's literally a completely different market.
I couldn't help but realize that Android could never get something as detailed as Infinity Blade, but is there hope? And what handset could handle such graphics?
Here is the trailer/article of Infinity Blade:
http://www.redmondpie.com/epic-game...for-iphone-4-is-mind-blowingly-awesome-video/
Well the Samsung Galaxy S has a more powerful GPU than the iPhone 4 (SGX540 vs iPhone's SGX535). So theoretically better games can be made for Android.
But with Android being so widespread the high end games won't run on all Android phones. For example, my old HTC Hero doens't have OpenGL 2.0 support and sucks at all types of gaming.

The main problem isnt the hardware, android has the hardware to support most iOS games (excluding the first few models) but we're lacking the developer support. One day they might realise and then start android development, and then we'd have the definitively winning devices
Well both ID with their RAGE mobile engine have said they are using it for android development and EPIC has shown their unreal engine running on android...both on tablet and phone...its a matter of time now
the short answer... no at the moment.
Despite the fact I loathe apple, one thing I have to give to them is that their graphic engine for 3d games is much more superior than any android on the market.
Just compare playing Hero of Sparta on a SGS(which I own) as opposed to the Ipod touch. You can really feel the lag on the android.
However considering the fact that Sony annouced the PSP android phone, which is scheduled for next year, I am sure it is a issue that would be addressed by next year,
Apple has all good games, android do but not that much. I hope next year more developers will be porting games to android. I really would like to have a tap tap revenge on my vibrant.
I also think its quite difficult to develop games on the android due to the large range of resolutions and styles of each android phone. its a lot easier to develop a game if its based on a single type of phone with a single resolution - like the iphone is.
You guys are right. Perhaps is a matter of time, once they some how manage the fragmentation, like creating a gaming classification for handset manufacturers to encourage developers to make apps to that set class.
Hmmmm,
They should require a "minimum specification" phone for more advanced games (i.e >=1Ghz, >=Adreno 205/SGX535, <=512Mb ram, < 800*600 pixels screen, etc).
No one would expect a game like Crysis, etc to run on an Atom CPU? Why should it be any different on mobile phones?

iphone DO NOT HAVE Standard resolution any more
Iphone 4: Retina Display 640X960
Iphone 1/2/3: HVGA 320X480
and almost all android games can now run on QVGA/HVGA/WVGA without problems
it's just a developer thing...

This is exactly 2x size of iP3. Also the screen in iP4 from the API is handled the same as iP3 (so the resolution is treated as 320x480) but on iP4 we can have half-pixels, thus we can display a small dot in the position 100.5 that has size of 0.5 pixel. So this is exactly the same screen from developer's point of view.

Um... you never heard of Installous??? It's the one and only best iPhone black market app that provides the most convenient way of downloading pirated apps, where as for Android you need to rely on warez sites, then transferring them onto your device and then browse for it to install.
So technically the ratio of piracy on iOS is much much greater than Android. I haven't met a single person where I live that doesn't have Installous.

I have a few friends with iPhones that pirate apps, and none of my friends with androids do. Also when it comes down to it iOS or Android, the majority of users aren't pirating apps.
You need to Jailbreak to use installous. You don't need root to install warez. Might affect your ratios...
Before i Jailbroke all my friends iDevices and showed them installous I didn't know anyone apart from myself that used installous. Cant really judge this just by the ppl around you.
All I can be sure of is what i know, and i know my inexperienced mind was much happier to install warez on my unrooted hero than it was to jailbreak my iPod touch.
It's really not safe to pirate apps on android. I remember one guy here reported that his phone got a virus because of installing pirated apps. That's why I don't think about pirating apps, and all the apps I need are free. :-D

Its most definetly possible, infinity blade only looks good because they use normal mapping and other tricks to give a "hi-res" model look, the problem was there wasnt really any android game engines that easily support those features, and its only supported on open gls 2.0.
Unity3d for android has come out afew months ago for the public and it supports all the fancey extras to get that graphically edge, same with unreal 3 engine, dungeon defenders was done in that and it looks pretty damn good, but i dont know when the android version of U3 will be released.
Im currently developing a game in unity3d and im blown away with current tests to how powerful these devices actually are.
edit:
Keep in mind infinity blade is a pretty crap game, swipe swipe swipe, repeat,

Did you read the whole articule before saying thats a bad statement. The articule tells you its an exception rather than the rule.
Look its very simple to understand. Developers will go where they will make the most money. Sure iphone has jailbreakers which I stated in my 1st post. But Android has easy file-sharing access. No developer will bust his a$$ just to make $100 off a game that takes him 6 months to make.
File-sharing is easy on android just like windows mobile 6,6.1, and 6.5 . Unless developers can make money the way they do in the iphone market , they will not make the games for Android. This is not opinion but plain real life facts.
So, I bit the bullet and bought a Prime, I had talked myself out of it about 9 million times, was going to buy a used one from chin-a-ling (sorry mate) but my fiancee pushed me, and pushed me and I finally bought one... I am in love.
But the title says it all, I am wondering what the future is going to be. My hope is to end up being able to play Portal on this thing one day. With the fact that Bethesda has mentioned possible tablet ports of older titles, Valve has always been one to examine all unique possibilities. It would be incredible to be Chell running through the hall way, aiming and then tapping where I want the portal
Anyways, what does everyone else think? Looking forward to seeing what the major companies might do? Games you hope to see ported or even developed as a standalone counterpart from your favorite series?

I think tablet gaming especially on iOS has a bright future. Some of iOS's best exclusives have trickled their way to Android. But there is still a lot to be desired on the Android platform as far as games go. Currently EPIC is making fantastic games for iOS through ChAIR Entertainment. Hopefully they will one day embrace Android.
Well ios has infinity blade and usually gets games a bit earlier. That's about it IMHO.
Android has amazing emulators and most importantly full gamepad support.
There are also some really nice looking tegra3 exclusives coming. Definately infinity blade lvl of graphics.
I'd say the future is bright. Me personally I'm hoping for point and click adventures getting big on tablets. They perfect for touch control.
Gaming on tablets and Prime will be SICK! Just watch. Already amazed at the types of games I'm playing already. And I don't play b.s. ones like angry birds or whatever. Lol hardcore gamer here.
I used to be a hardcore gamer before I joined the Navy but after I got out I haven't had time with school, but I am a huge Portal/Half Life Fan, as well as a few of the other artsy FPS games e.g. Mirrors Edge. I KNOW the Tegra 3 can handle it, it is a matter of whether or not the big guys will believe in the future of tablet/mobile gaming. It is a growing segment of serious gamers, and I think that tablet ownership would increase as games become more innovative/complex.

And it works like a charm. It never ceases to amaze me that the first time I played day of the tentacle I had to clear my 40MB(!) hdd before I could install it, was supplied om an enormous amount of floppy disks, took ages to install and now I can play it on a apparatus small enough to fit in my pocket (in case of my galaxy nexus)...

Google Play license check on start up, problem solved. This can be kind of a pain for wifi only devices, maybe an email registration code could be used as well with only periodic online checks. Paid software still exists on Windows (desktop) despite it being just as easy to copy and load a program on another computer. Everything has some sort of online registration these days.
The real reason games appear on iOS quicker is because thinks are all optimized for one GPU type and up until recently one screen ratio. Many android games seem to have to port graphics to each GPU type (adreno, powervr, tegra, etc). I'm not familiar with how game deving works on android, but you'd think Google would have some universal graphics method like DirectX where GPU type doesn't matter.

There are 2 point of views, where you can estimate which is better: Android or iOS.
1) Developer/coder/publisher point of view. Here, in general, Android platform is more comfortable due to:
- More easy start develop and test application (in comparison with iOS)
- More wide range of available (and not ewxpensive) devices to test. In the same time this is negative factor: you need to ensure that your app runs fine on any device with any screen resolution.
- More adequate SDK help and a lot of resources in web for developers (Some Apple Help texts on their developer site has errors!)
- Post-moderation of uploaded applications (Apple uses pre-moderation model)
- Freedom for app design. Apple has large HIG document, and can refuse your app just because "it is not so fun"... Google Play not!
2) Seller point of view. Here iOS platfom is only and the best selection. I mean typical developer, not market sharks like Gameloft, etc...
There are a lot of statistics stated that ios market is better google in times! This kills all Android positive factors.

There is hope
Hi All,
I've spent the last 2 years trying to get in touch with the right people about getting this game back. Red Lynx told me they couldn't help, but this didn't stop me.
I used twitter and all the connections I have in the mobile sphere and finally managed to start a conversation with Senior Manager, BD & Partnering of Nokia.
The latest is that they would be willing to release the IP for the game and the code.
Basically it's at the stage of making a monetary offer and plan for the future of this game.
Not being a developer, I know need to find out how much it would cost to convert the game and try and work out what this code might be worth, currently I have no idea so can't make an offer.
As for the future if it's not me by perhaps someone else who manages to get this up and running great.
I see this game running on PC, iOS, Android and WP in it's original multiplayer form.
If anyone knows any investors developers and advice on what this might be worth please let me know.
Thanks
Chris

No this game is not in iTunes or any app store at the moment.
I'm saying I see it being everyone one day, just need to find devs and investors to help buy the IP and code as mentioned above

I was part of the team that created the game so I can say for sure that porting the code should not be a big deal. It was made to be multiplatform and even worked on both big&little endian systems. The bigger problem are the controls as the game was designed with hardware controls in mind. As for what the game's assets & rights are worth I have no idea.
There should be a way to replace hardware buttons without ruin the gameplay. The game really deserves to be on this new phones. Connectivity I way better, not that choppy as on my old Nokia N958Gb were I started playing it.

Enjoyed this game very much plus the replayability made it very unboring and the multiplayer, that was the funnest part. I think this will go out at WP OS soon coz now that nokia was sold to Windows
This game was awesome!
I really hope someone will buy the IP and port it to Android.
it could be a great exclusive for windows phone. I would buy a new phone for this game. What about change.org or kickstarter?
Why Windows phone exclusive? That's quite silly. It should be a multi-platform as many games out there.

That's because the rights to that game are held by Nokia which is now a part of Microsoft.
I would buy a Lumia if this games made available on WP!

I want it so bad. Wrote Redlynx a year ago and they told me that Nokia has all rights. Quite silly to not port it, but hey,..it´s Nokia.
I think if you don´t make a stupid free to play of it, it would be a great successor again. Very special and innovative game!!
