Hi all,
I have just updated my system to the official O2 2.1. However, the wallpaper does not take the normal 800*444 anymore.
Does anyone know what's the resolution for the 2.1 wallpapers?!
Cheers!
Hi all,
I don't know if it's just me being stupid or others have the same problem with it.
I have been asking and searching around different forums to find a solution to this problem, but no one seems to have any ideas.
So I decided to play around with different resolutions.
This one works quite perfect for me, it fits in within the orange crop box.
Give it a try guys and tell me what you guys think.
Resolution: 747*298 (i knwo it's a wierd resolution, but it works perfet)
Cheers!
Try 1000 x 400 I think that's it.

Like to customize your Atrix on the daily? Looking for some nice icons that look crisp and clean without being small like the stock icons? Lets devote this thread to some awesome icon finds that work well with the atrix. I've seen some larger icons, but the quality never turns out very well with the resolution of this screen. As soon as I find some nice icons I'll put them up...Until then...POST!

Anyway to get the new swype thts only available on the nexus s on the photon?

Swype
here's a question: what's the advantage of the new swype (exclusive to Nexus S), than the Swype pre-loaded on the Photon to begin with..
I came from an iPhone and I really like Swype - if this new one is even better, I might just get it =)
i would like to know as well
There are honestly a few big differences between what is installed stock and what they are offering to the Nexus S 4G.
First and for most the download for Swype is version 3.0 which made HUGE improvements. After using 3.0 beta on my Evo it killed me having to use 2.0 again the was preinstalled on the Photon. The other change is cosmetic, with the Nexus S download there are 2 themes one is default Swype and the other is labeled Sprint, it looks pretty sweet too I can't lie. It is a flat black with blue tints to the edges.
If you are rooted and running the beta swype the only difference you will see is going to be the themes.
I hope this helps and answers your question. If I notice any other differences I'll update my post but I don't think there is. The step from 2.0 to 3.0 will really make you love swype that much more.
I was able to get it installed on my Photon but our screens resolution is to high for it to fit properly, there is about a half inch of dead space on either side of the keyboard. It does work just doesn't fit right, until they release a version for qHD screens I would just still with Swype Beta and if you have tried it get over there now because they are allowing new people to sign up again.

PS you will need root and you will have to remove the Swype.apk that is in the System folder to be able to install. Have a great day XDA!!!
Heya Guys,
I've been trying to customise my GSIII but I'm finding it really tough to find wallpapers that take full advantage of the resolution. I've noticed that 1280 x 720 wallpapers fit perfectly and appear really sharp as lockscreen images but they are really hard to find on Google Images.
I've also heard that 1440 x 1280 should work great as my home screen wallpaper yet it appears blurry and not very sharp ... Do you guys know any good places to find wallpapers? This is really disappointing since with my old phone I could have thousands to choose from.

There was a thread here @xda in general or app section with all the 1280x720 wallpapers. A search might bring you the thread.
It was titled some "HD wallpaper collection" or something like that.. not so sure..

Try downloading the zedge app, it has lots of wallpapers and it detects the device you are using...

On my phone, no matter the resolution, the lockscreen image will always appear blurry! i had to disable the s3 ripple effect (was using stock rom then) to make it clear again.
not sure whether this would help you. Anyway back on topic, for my phone i used resolution of 1440 x 900 and they looked great
Not to use sarcastic comments but a Google search would suffice
Click the images tab and then on the left look for advanced I think it is and then you can put your own res in
Hope this helps

This is definitly the best site for HD wallpapers: http://wallbase.cc
I've got a dozens of wallpapers, and I got all of them from refined Google Images searches.
A wp that looks good ("pretty!") on the PC screen doesn't necessarily work well as a wallpaper, specially if there will be lots of icons and widgets on top if it.

If you're asking for the resolution of the Nexus 7 then it's 1280-by-800. I'm not too sure though if you're asking a more complicated question.
Install Quickpic, set wallpaper from that

Thanks Guys ... QuickPic is wicked. Much better that stock.
But I was hoping to make a few of my own, and have no idea what the exact dimensions I would design for ...
Thanks again, this place is the best!
