Hey everyone,
after we could see more and more carbon styled htc devices on the fron page i thought about that same. i wanted to give my tp2 a little bit of the carbon style.
so after hours of struggle with the 3M carbon style folie i finally made my phone a carbon phone haha
as it is my first time workin with 3M its not perfect but im happy about the result and want to share it with you!

That looks really fresh, and would probably look even nicer on a black TP2.

so it cost me only 7.80€ for the 3M folie and about two hours
and i have still a lot of folie left so that with the 7.80 i could make 3 battery covers or now my mp3 player ;-)
so its pretty cheap i think...

Im looking for a inexpensive but good quality pouch for my Hero i don't want any of the edges sticking out or maybe even none of the phone out at all but i dont want it to be bulky.

IMO you cant go wrong the the Flexishield, buy one you wont regret it! I've seen cheaper alternativers around which I'm sure will meet ur needs but I'm a sucker for branding.

Its solid, so you don't feel the bulk when it moves around, unlike a silicon one.
And really not that thick at all

Quality is nice (got one with some loose stitchings, but seller sent me a new one right away), and they have a nice soft touch to them. Remind me a bit of the pouch you got with the HTC Touch. I guess I just like neoprene cases and pouches . And they're cheap hehe
Obviously the one I got has the Hero stick out just a little bit (check first link). For me no problem, only easier to get it out etc. Dimensions are very nice, it's a tight fit as it should be. I guess (but obviously don't know for sure) the second link will cover the whole Hero. But not on the sides there looking at the picture eh.
I have a clear flexi shield for everyday use and its pretty wicked. Protects the phone well and looks great .. even on the white phone.
I also have a foof pouch which is lambswool and not used that often.. its a bit posher

yes it does perfectly in my opinion. I will try to upload a picture for you as soon as I get home. Will put it in this same post.
I was looking at the invisibleSHIELD from zagg. it seems quite nice and protects the screen nicely as well. it obv wont protect it from dropping tho. anyone got this or know if it is worth it? i hate covers that go on to the fone. always makes them look huge. i wanna show off my hero

This is what I got from ebay, flip leather case with port access, manegtic stud and 2 sd card slot. Perfect for a movies goers like me. Hopefully this won't make the hero look bulky.

I think thats possibly the uglyist case i've seen. I bet it it's main aim is to protect rather than to look nice, they've most probs consentrated on that. It would be nice to see a review.

Have you used one? You can't even tell it's on the phone once it is on. I have one and .... they not ugly Protects the phone like hell! and you also get a screen protector with it!

Yes, i got one. Transparent plastic changes brown in corners, hell yeah its ugly

When it arrived I checked out the packaging and found that it was spot on, instuctions were brilliant. Plenty of information about the product on the box and well designed. I removed the contents from the box and had to cut the tie wraps keeping it in place and found the base is a solid black structure. I peeled back the clear protective film from the stickyness pad and I attached my phone but never had to press on it. When it attached it felt like a magnet but this thing is so sticky its crazy! This little device is very stable, I understand now, how it would hold an ipad!!!
I did some rotating of the device and the ball joint feels very stable, rotates freely with one hand. Very easy to type on! Can't really say much more but if there are any questions feel free to ask.

Does anyone know if this has any effect to the finish of the battery door on the hero? I wonder if after a while it may cause it to disintergrate? (But that could be easily sorted by just putting it in a case anyways I guess)

Yup emailed the europe head office support and the managing director emailed me personally to send me out a new one! No questions.
Will let you know how i get on with the second one.
Battery cover isn't effected.

It's got the cut outs for it but I think the silicone plus the transformer will not fit in the docking holder.

they can charge whatever right now...since they are the only ones making a silicone case.... give it a month or so..... prices will be about 5 dollars shipped from China

Also u can call me a lier but before i even got my transformers i was already looking for a case, and on amazon i got to see a few tpu cases, like the ones from amzer, u know the ones with the sketchers on the back, and now for some reason when i google them i get nothing, and there were like 20 people selling them on amazon. So please post some pics i wanna know if this is real, also comments about how good and hard the silicone is.
I just put in an order for mine earlier. (Forgot to lastnight) Should have it within 15 days, least thats what they said. Got the black one, wish they had a grey, but oh well.

So many of you know the UK Samsung Galaxy Note has a carbon fiber battery door as a option. Unfortunately it does not fit our phone even with modification. I for one would love to see one for our phone so i contacted a company I use to order carbon fiber parts for my car to see if they would be willing to make one. I am currently waiting to see if they would be interested in making one, but we would need to show them that it is something people want and that it would be profitable for them. They may require a certain ammount and we may have to do a sign up list in order for them to agree.
So what do you guys think? Would you buy one?

Most of the users have a case so I dont think theres a lot of interests in replacing the battery door. But users who rock it naked might be interested.

I would totally be down for a real carbon fiber back. Either that or work with them to create a super slim carbon fiber case. I would love to mess around with some carbon fiber for my Note, only I don't have the skills or tools necessary at my disposal. If you work something nice out with them, put me down for one.
What would be totally awesome is if they could make a carbon fiber housing to completely replace the plastic trim. I would drop 150 bucks or more on that, but I know that would be ridiculous to make.

its missing the internal antenna for the NFC and the mounting tabs are in a slightly different location, can still be cut to fit ours most likely tho

Looks good, yes. Doesn't fit. I got one already and it's a no go. I'll be reselling it. I have purchased a couple of non i717 backs from ebay and they will not fit. I don't think they will work properly even with trimming some tabs and I'd rather get the factory fit.
I am looking for a carbon fiber back. Can't find any yet, other than a screenguardz sticky thingy. I wonder what true carbon fiber will do to the antenna signals?

The mounting tabs are in the wrong place for the I717 - I had that cover and not was skilled enough in the modification of the tabs & ended up throwing it out
I'd be interested, but think the NFC thing will kill it.
Still 30 bucks or so, I'd be down.
