ive installed the cell series evo ROM and ever since then i have been unable to send any MMS... the paper clip thats supposed to show up in my text msg box isnt there and when i go to options the insert tab is greyyed out... any suggestions?

In settings I Cant See My Phone Number!.. I Dont Know Why!! Can some One Help Me With This!!
But you can make and receive calls? Did you try using the dialer shortcuts to get to hidden phone status and network info?
Post a screen shot of your About Phone page from the phone Settings if you don't mind.
mine is also like this, and it was like that on my old htc magic too. it doesnt stop any functionality but it is odd.
just create a contact called me with your number.

But It Didnt Work!
Mines been like this since day one. Made me have to remember my number right away. I always thought it was odd too. Also, is it normal for your voicemail number to be different? I also get calls from tmobile asking for whom I assume to have my number before

In my case, the number shows up in My phone number when i use a T-Mobile SIM...
When i use a Vodafone SIM there is no number (as mentioned in the OP)...
My Handset is original Unlocked - CSC : I9100XEUKD1
Find an old skool phone (Sony Ericsson K800) this should have a menu for your own mobile number, enter it here. This will save your number directly to your SIM and it will appear on your SGS2.

Try to Just Clean Cache And Dalvik!! If IT Still Doesnt Work Then Flash A New And Latest ROM

I did that a few times and i also flashed the latest firmware for India. i also found out that somehow the phone's imei number has changed. and i have absolutely no idea how that happened. Pls help me with any information you might have.

Hey man i dont think your imei no would have changed unless you have been doing something naughty
to the network issue you have you should try flashing the csc for your county, you can find them in the dev section. the csc holds carrier information and details for mms and keyboard languages and such.
when i flash my csc for the uk when my phone reboots i will get a pop up menu that will let me select my vodafone contract as my network.

I have flashed the indian rom version as thats where i am. flashed the csc also that came with the stock but imei doesnt change back. Request some more information on how to change the imei or reset the phone so i can work. Holding the phone of my dreams in my hand and not able to do anything with it.

Hi, I have the same problem. It is like that when you get duplicate of your sim or replacement sim. Confirmed with my network.
My sim is not a duplicate or replacement. It is working on my N8 and in another Galaxy S. Not working on my Galaxy S2.
No number in my settings either. Would of been nice to have it showing up.

me and my friend both bought samsung galaxy s2 at the same time.
only i upgraded it to ics and he decided to sitck to the original gingerbread.
i'm currently running ics 4.0.3.
the thing is, the same person send us identical picture messages (mms).
in my friends' gingerbread it arrives ok and he just automatically sees the picture.
i get something that look like an sms and in the middle there's a gray button saying "download" (to download the sent picture) but when i touch it...it just says "downloading" for a few seconds and then the same gray "download" button reapears as if i never clicked it.
how can i get mms normally again?

Check if your mms APN settings is correct.
How?
- goto SETTINGS - more(under wireless & network) - select mobile networks - select access point name - confirm your mms APN is correct (if you and your friends are using the same carrier, ensure your APN setting information is the same on both phones)

As said in the title, i've been experiencing some problems with SMS.
I have a galaxy tab 10.1 gt-p7500, and i've always been able to send sms with it. However, last week it started giving me an error whenever i tried to send a message. It just shows "Error. Message not sent"
Moreover, i can't even receive messages anymore, even if my phone says that the message has been delivered.
P.S.
The tablet is rooted and i'm using the stock ics rom, however it started doing this before i rooted it.

are you sure that the problem is with the tablet?
try first to insert the sim card in anoter device this sound like it is more about the service then the device

The sim card actually works with other devices.
the data connection is also working, so the problem is only with messages.
if the problem started befor rooting and you are on stock than

If the problem started before rooting and you are on stock than it is unlikely that there is somthing wrong with the rom.
did you check your apn settings?

yes, it says "failed to connect, try back later"
This happens only with the tablet, if I insert the sim in the phone everything works flawlessly.
EDIT:
Checked back again, the apn settings seem to be fine.

check messages -> settings -> message center settings

Odp: cant send text messages
Can you send sms on any rom or at all? I had similar problem but I couldn't write at all. I had to go to my provider and they reset my settings as they were not set correctly after having my SIM suspended.

what was your solution, mine started doing this two days ago. I read there's a three day dump from ATT if you have pending messages not received yet. I through updating the radio would help which is why I'm back on here seraching.

I am on beans build 20 and just today I cant send any sms or mms messages. I tried another app too (gosms) I can get on the Internet just fine (im posting this via lte so I know I have data) anytime I go to send a message it says that the service is un available and the message will sent when the service becomes available. I need to try and fix this. Heres what ive tried so far.
Re flashing the modem
Tried a different rom (carbon everything kept force closing so I couldn't try a message)
And finally restoring a backup of beans
Nothing of those worked.

Well it just started working again. Maybe it was on Verizons end? But family members in the same room as me were able to send texts just fine during the time I couldn't.
