After rooting I did the Market Fix and installed the Market.
Later It started to work but whenever I try to download a free application it is stuck on Starting download....
I thought at first oh okay...
I waited 5 minutes it was still stuck like that and I tried being close to my wireless router...
Nothing helped and I restarted the phone...
So just asking how am I supposed to download applications now from the Market after I rooted?
I also did fake my provider and thought that would work?
PLEASE HELP I AM DESPERATE!

it might help to state where you are from, I am rooted and unlocked and the market works just fine. The more info you give the better the help
Try going in to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Market -> Uninstall updates. I tried this and it got my market working again.
Since two days there are problems with the Market. I can´t download anything, too.
Well I am from the Dubai and rooted it here...
I got superuser and managed to install Vending.apk aka the Market
I tried to download but it is stuck on starting download...
I just uninstalled updates....

Thank you so much!!! Your suggestion made it working for me again
Hi, I'm having a similar problem here. My Market is apparently working correctly, I can search and download apps. But I've been having some problems with some apps that can't find on the Market although being available.
I did the MarketFix when I rooted and updated my phone to RB2BA026. An example of an app that can't find on Market: Multitasking Lite.
BTW, when you say "Market->Uninstall updates", are you talking about removing "Market Updater", because I can't find anything about uninstalling updates of the Market app.

When it stopped listing certain apps I went in to the 'market' app info and clicked 'clear cache'.
When it stopped working altogether (a few weeks later after the silent market update) I went in to the 'market' app info and clicked on the 'Uninstall updates'. The market updated itself 3 days later without any issues.
To cover all approches I'd suggest clearing the cache and then the updates. Then turn off the phone and do a battery pull. I hope this helps.
There's no "Uninstall updates", so I've tried first removing "Market Updater" but nothing happened. So then I tried removing "Market" to install again from a backup I supposedly have done before, but for my surprise Titanium Backup wont restore the Market app backup.
Now I'm with no Market app at all! So I need it from someone, please PM it.

The fix mentioned here only works as long as the Market doesn't automatically redownload itself, at which point I have to uninstall it again. That's fine most of the time, but what do you do when it automatically updates the market as soon as you uninstall the update?
I have purchased apps that no longer recognize that I bought them because of this market update that keeps going on without my permission. Is there some way to stop or block the update until this gets fixed? I'm getting very tired of being called a pirate by several apps I legitimately bought.
So I put all my apps to auto update, a feature of the new Market. Bummer is my wifi cut off apparently in the middle of an installation or something because one app is stuck on "Installing" and never installs. It's always stuck in this state and because of that I can't uninstall/reinstall it. I manually uninstalled it thinking it may fix market but it didn't and now I can't find it anywhere except on the market.
I know if I reflash my whole ROM, the market will be fixed but I'd rather NOT have to do that cause it simply is too much work. Is there any simpler way to reset the market?
You can go to menu settings, applications, manage appications, menu show all and reset the cache/data of the market app.
Thx. I actually figured it out by uninstalling the updates to it and then reinstalling it. Worked perfect

I just updated to the official Froyo. When I run the Market and select "My Apps" it says "No downloads from Android Market".
The Apps themselves are still on the phone and available from the Applications screens. They just don't show in the Market "My Apps" screen. If I search for them in the Market I do get a screen that shows that the one I searched for is installed.
As it happens all my Apps are free ones. Is there a way for me to get them back in the "My Apps" screen. Without it, how will I do updates (I do manual updates)?
settings applications all then find market then click force close, then clear data/cache what ever there is.
That got it, but for some reason it took 2 times.
Thanks!
Mine were all there. Free and paid...

thats cool, but to almost ALL people, when they flash another rom without the odin, this issue is there, the market cant find all your apps because most people use titanium backup to restore their apps.

This will work if the market link itself is in some kind of working order. If you've wiped everything, TB Pro needs the market link to allow you to have the pro feature of market doctor. My market currently looks like beta testing grounds before it was launched with all kinds of weird stuff and no ability to search for anything.
I've factory reset it, flashed back to odin twice with 2.1 and 2.2. Wiped the data and closed just about every running process/app, cleared the caches, reinstalled a new rom which required some "manual labor" of taking some apps from a rom build and putting them on my phone (rom manager/TB), rooted, not rooted it makes no difference, and finally used Root Explorer to push a different market app on to my phone which gives me the same result. After all that, I still can't pass go and do not get my $200. Looks like it's time for more drastic measures... MOM!!
Worked like a charm. Thanks.
hi, tonight i've just flashing a custom ROM for my p500 everything works fine.
but after i finished setting my google account, the market suddenly start downloading all apps that i've installed on my previous ROM, without asking my permission, and yet i cant find any way to cancel it.. even i have turn off my data access but the downloading notification is still in the status bar, and it'll resume as soon as i re-enable my data access...
of course i've done googling and find many solutions like:
1) force closing the market --> not working
2) clearing the market cache and data --> not working
3) go to the apps page that currently downloading trough the market, to find a cancel button, but it's not there
4) opening "my apps" list on the market, all the apps that currently downloading was there but their status haven't "installed" yet of course... but the cancel button was also not there....
how do I get rid of this?
it really pisses me off

What is this error and how do I fix it?
Logging into my freshly hard-reset device via Market I get a white box that states:
"Applications and games owned by this account will appear here"
I THOUGHT I solved it myself by following my own advice:
Clear data and cache.
Didn't work the first time and it seems to be randomly recurring,.... and now it's always happening, which leads me to believe it is a GOOGLE issue.
Just in case anyone else has this issue.
Anyone have any ideas?
I restored from a previously functional backup and still no dice.
It's happening to me, also. Calk's 2.0 on a Sprint S2 E4GT.
Cleared Market cache and data, no dice. Tried switching Market back-and-forth to another Google account, no dice.
Happily, I can still get updates via AppBrain.
I have a theory that it was due to something that I extracted from my CWM backup via Titanium Backup.
Did you by any chance do something similar?
I don't think my theory is in any way accurate. Something seems to be going on with the Google server end. I wish they'd fix it.
find a solution (maybe someone find one BETTER)
i have tried anything to solve this problem but no dice. now i have installed KL1 (wipe version ) and the market works perfectly
i also have heard about many problem with market on KK5..
Interestingly enough, My Apps worked correctly ... once ... after I flashed Calk's 2.0.1a over 2.0.
Still using AppBrain to sync updates.
On evo3d, this seems to be a widespread problem across many phones even on stock software. I've been experiencing for a couple months now. Do you have any sideloaded apps, bootleg or amazon or mikandi? My theory is that the 3rd party apps are interfering with the market. I have amazon apps that show in google market as purchased. I uninstalled everything and reloaded with my titanium backup, marked as sideloaded, worked for about a week then the market started reassoiciating itself with my 3rd party apps and broke again. appbrain doesnt pick up all updates either, I've been waiting for about a week for it to pick up the beautiful widgets update and hasnt so far. this sucks.
try this solution. download and install appbrain. sync your google account with appbrain and then click "sync" on apprain. when sync is finished, open market and now it works . please check this

Does not work but thanks anyway.
no no no this damn problem is back. I think it was a problem kk5. I have check rom revo v4
he he, anyone that experieced this problem has blackmart alpha installed
follow this solution:
uninstall blackmart alpha. go to manage application, market>force stop it>clear cache>clear data
go to market accept user agreement
now it will work. please tell me
I have same problem before restore my apps with titanium on XWKK5; so, I think it was an error for use market doctor with system apps, then I clear all market links with Titanium and works, market came back lo list my apps but before install some apps I have the problem again and delete market link doesn't work; when I restore XWKK2 nandroid, market works fine and I never install balckmarket or similars, I've wrote to google support but only says clar cache and data from market, but doesn't work and never responding me ...
PD: Sorry for my english, I'm from latinoamerica
This is definitely a problem which surfaces with KK5.
Upon upgrade to KL1, the problem vanishes. Flashing back to KK5, even factory reset, brings it back.
I've seen my stuff in My Apps just once in several weeks...immediately after flashing Caulk's 2.5 full. Worked correctly once, then everything dissapeared again.

Same here. Flashed Calk's 2.5 full, market worked fine first time I selected "My Apps". Second time I tried, I would get one of the following:
- "Apps and games owned by this account will appear here."
- "Applications and games owned by this account will appear here."
I'm attaching a screenshot. (BTW, tried reflashing the ROM, did not solve the problem.)
EDIT: Posted the issue in the ET4G Q&A section as well
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20504910
I've been running KK2 (Australian) version for around a week and all has been well until today when I've got the same error message.
Had it previously on other versions of KK2 and KK5 but now it's back.
Haven't done anything today to cause it...come on Google, sort it out

I have figured out how to fix this with titanium backup. Basically, you use the remove all market links option then attach each app back with titanium one by one. Pay attention to what apps you add back, excluding any from Amazon app store. Reboot and wait. After about a half a day things will be back to normal

I think it's only available to pro versions. It's actually labeled "Destroy all Market links" in the "market tools" menu item.
