Hi, does anyone know what Sprint is replace user with Touch Pro when phone is broken or lost now a days?
any word on this...my screen is starting to go...the digitizer I believe.
I thought by now a replacement would be Touch Pro 2 or HTC Hero, but not sure and I cant locate the topic about this stuff.
Got my TP2 as a replacement...my options where a TP, TP2, Samsung Moment, Blackberry something and that was it
where are you located? i just got a touch pro that was fixed up. im located in northern california.
They just gave me a refurbished TP when I took mine in about a month ago. I was hoping for at least a TP2, that way my desire for a new phone would be satiated until WP7.

My Alltel branded Touch Pro keyboard went out this week, one week after the merger with Verizon was completed. Phone is under warranty. Yesterday I went in and Veizon said, "OK, no problem. We'll ship you a phone out second day air."
Now I read that the Verizon TP is WAY less capable (RAM-wise) than the Alltel model. Which one do you think I will get back? What rights, if any, do I have in this regard?
yeah you DONT want the verizon touch pro. Other than having much less ram and being painfully slow and buggy on any rom, the M key is placed in a weird position on the keyboard (look up the keyboard on google) and the frame is made complately of plastic. I had a friend who messed up his alltel touch pro and went into verizon and told them that he didnt want a much less capable phone and they let him trade it for a phone of equal value (he got the blackberry storm)
hope to GOD that you get the Alltel TP.

None.
Sorry, but that is the way of the business world...
This is one of those cases where it would have behooved you to send the phone direct to HTC for warranty repair. You would have gotten the exact same phone back.
I'm looking to pickup an AT&T TP2 in a couple of days to replace my Fuze but AT&T screwed up the keyboard. My question is, has anyone found a replacement keyboard like there is for the FUZE?

Go to gsm4world.us and select touch pro 2 here is the link:

It is the entire housing but I figure you could just swap keyboard...I already ordered this to make the switch like I did when I made the switch with the Fuze.
I really want to change my keyboard also. Can you post a picture of your Tilt 2 with the new keyboard once you have installed it?
Hi all I have had 4 TG01s since November, everyone has had problems with call quality, but also activesync/mobile device centre connectivity , spurious resets ,poor battery life ..................
I was told yesterday that TG01 is no longer available due to software problems.
Can anyone confirm this?
Advice.
If you do call orange to change your phone make sure that the call is logged in the same way, I.E Call quality . this way after 3 changes you may be offered a different phone. (my last call was logged as "known software fault" even though the fault was call quality grrrrrr!)
Toshiba have updated the radio stack, update your TG01 and it'll be fine.
And yes, Orange have pulled the TG01,
They do still have some new boxed stock though. The 'different model replacement's they offered me were a HTC Hero, HTC Touch 3G Jade, and some LG or other. I said it should be a SE X10 but they said no....
Stamp your feet and you'll get a brand new TG01 not someone else's returned unit.

where they offering the phones for free or extra funds?
OK so I'm getting bored of my X10i as there is pretty much nothing you can do with it and I'm probaby going to go back to a winmo based phone.
I've had many x1s and loved that phone however I want something new, I've also have the Touch Pro2 and while it was brilliant I found the camera rubbish and it was just too 'thick'.
I've decided to go for the HD2 (I think after the x10 I wont notice a massive size increase, except screen obviously) however I'm stuck between getting a 2nd hand one which was on T-Mobile or Orange (UK for both).
The 'physical' branding on the T-mobile handsets seam less obtrusive so I think I'll go for that. My question is does anyone see a problem in getting an (UK) T-mobile branded HD2, debranding it and flashing costume ROMS & chaning the radio? I'll be using it on Vodafone (UK).
Thanks for the help, hope to be visiting this part of the forums more over the next few months.
you should have no problems at all with either, the phones are identical. might have to pay fifteen quid to get it unlockedbut that's it.
sam is the expert so no worries on that score. But i would advise caution on buying a second hand hd2. Just make sure the phone has no issues due to heat problems.
I know quite alot of hd2's switch off when they overheat and this results in normally needing a new motherboard etc. so make sure you test the phone before you buy it.
Good luck and i am sure you will luv your new phone.
Brilliant guys, thanks for the advise. Unfortunately I can't text the phone as I'm buying from CEX (I have vouchers to use plus I'm getting aboutn £200 in vouchers for my x10).
If the worst happens I have 12 months warranty or I'll just send it to HTC to get fixed... hopefully...

Ahhh i see. in that case mate i am sure it will be fine. It really is a great phone. Perhaps you should check out an energy rom?
Enjoy the phone!
I actually used the Engery ROMS on my X1 so I think it will be good to get back to it!
Thanks again guys!
I got mine from cex and it was on o2. Get a grade a stock as this is like new. Mine had the seal on everything even the phone hadn't been used on the network.then I went to the link on the o2 websiye and they give you the unlock code for free.

Hey guys,
So I am posting on behalf of my dad. He recently dropped his phone and broke the screen. And while he tried to use his one UH OH that he had...apparently service to him was significantly less then stellar, and after a week of 2 hours holds on the phone, credit card holds, and being transferred to god knows where, he finally gave up and is resorting to trying to get the screen replaced himself. His one question is, he was told by a screen repair company that his particular model (OP6B12O) is not a true AT&T version, and was some weird "International" AT&T M8. What I would like to know is...is this true? And does it really matter? I don't imagine the display assembly is any different between models, and if so...wut. Any advice?
