Req : plllz port Galaxy's ROM for our HERO - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is there anyone can help us and port Samsung Galaxy S's Rom for our hero cuz galaxy rom is perfect more than any rom here of course !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not use a Galaxy theme?
Porting the ROM itself would be a huge task, but themes exist for ROMs already. Using one right now actually

Me too i'm using the one from villian site but the rom will be perfect more than any theme and it will be very fast i'm sure and with full TouchWiz 3 with all programs (( Samsung widget ))

I don't think you've grasped quite how difficult porting a rom is. If it can be done with a theme then its probably the best you'll get. Someone might be brave (or stupid ) enough to take on the task but AFAIK its highly unlikely at this point in time.

[Q] 2 questions for the Galaxy S II

Hi, i have two questions for you, because i don't know what to do...
- the first one : Android 4.0 will be released for this phone ?
- the second one : is it possible to have an official version of Android gingerbread without Touchwiz for the galaxy S II ? ( i don't very like Touchwiz )
I ask you this questions because i don't know if it's better to wait the nexus prime, or to buy this phone... ( sorry for my english, i'm not very good )
Thank you !
1. Yes, probably
2. CM7 is already available, think of it as souped-up AOSP
If you can wait then go for the nexus prime, but there'll always be something better around the corner and the SGS2 is the best out there for the meanwhile
Ill probably be getting the samsung g note but I wonder will the nexus prime have a removable sd card.
thank you for your answers ! i think i will buy the galaxy ! but one last question : the CyanogenMod roms aren't stable yet ?

They're stable enough, as most users would agree, but there are other AOSP ROMs out there that are pure Android, without any CM stuff. It depends what you want, obviously, but if you're after pure Android (as on a Nexus, for example) then that's available and working very well.

Did you ever use and Android based phone before? Install different launcher and get rid of TW. Root your phone and delete samsung based apps with Root Uninstaller. That's it
if you don't like touchwiz you don't need to switch the rom, just search the market for a launcher that suits your liking and customize it to your preference.
i dont think touchwiz sucks that bad. but i wanted to have more control over how the app drawer sorts apps, so i downloaded go launcher ex (completely free) and i got what i want.

+1 I love TouchWiz 4.0. It's fast, smooth and looks awesome. In addition, I love using some of the widgets that are TouchWiz only. Also if you are a TouchWiz user, you can download an app called Appzorter to alphabetize your app drawer (only works on root though). I've tried other launchers and none of them seem to be as fluid as Touchwiz is.
personnaly, i think touchwiz is not very beautiful, the galaxy seems to be an old phone with that. i prefer the style of android, but it's my opinion.
Sounds like your comparing touchwiz 4 to touchwiz 3 in the galaxy i9000.
Touchwiz 4 is silky smooth compared to any other launcher and adds great functionality compared to an standard android device.

I'm a fan of pure Android too, but it obviously doesn't hurt to try all the alternatives out there. As I said ealier I use MIUI, but it's very much NOT pure Android, although built on an AOSP ROM. CM is also built from the ground up, and that's very popular. Your best bet is to just forget what you already know and try what's out there, because there are some great ROMs available. Just bear in mind that a lot of them are simply tweaked Samsung ROMs, and nothing "new" (no disrespect meant to the developers - purely an observation).
I hated the look of MIUI before I tried it because it looked like someone just wanted Android to look like the iPhone, but trying it really showed me how wrong it was. I just guess it's the same with all ROMs. Don't take anyone's word for it - try it for yourself.

[Q] Is there anyone porting sense ROM to galaxy s2?

Hi guys I know most of us like samsung phones but we love the sense UI.. So can anyone interested to full port sense from any HTC phone MDPI?
There's already at least two threads about this...
Here, (which incidentally links to here, which seems to indicate the project is dead) and here.

[REQUEST] TouchWiz Port.

I'm a big fan of TouchWiz ui (just look at my name: ChongWiz), but i can't see any TouchWiz ports on Xperia devices. Since there are some great developers, someone should port TouchWiz to Xperia Ray, it would be the first Xperia device AFAIK that gets TouchWiz. I don't care what version of TW, just would like to taste some TouchWiz without buying a nasty crappy iPhone clone samsung phone...
Yeah I also want it.
While you wait for someone to port it, you could try THIS almost perfect mod (for Gingerbread only).
If you want TouchWiz NatureUX (as seen on the Galaxy S3), we should probably wait until the Galaxy S3 Mini firmware gets leaked because it has the same screen resolution as ours, thus making it easier to port.
EDIT: You could also try CyanogenMod which has some great themes (TouchWiz included) which can be downloaded there: for CM7; for CM9; For CM10.

This is the TouchWiz launcher but TouchWiz is the complete UI for example music player, widgets and whatever.

I would like to try it, but it doesn't seem easy to uninstall. The only solution to come back to Sony UI is the restore of a nandroid backup, am I right?

[Q] Why Galaxy SIII ?

Hi everyone ,
I want to buy a new phone in a few days, and I choose between One x and S3,I know thath there is a lot of topic like this but I searched and rly cant find anything thath will convince me to buy one x or s3,just to much similarities.
So ,How I see S3 is smoother and has better batery life ,I dont care for camera and microsd slot ****s,32 or 16gb enough for me.
I will root and install custom rom when I buy one of these,so I wanna know with custom rom on galaxy S3 and custom rom on ONE X what are difference then, cus I know thath on custom rom will be a lot of improvements on both phones.
One thing I prefer on one X is design.
Pls give me some benchmarks and good advices
Tnx in advance and sorry for my english
There's little point asking about this. The specs you'll be able to find online, as for custom roms, there's so many no one's gonna bother explaining everything.
HTC will have sense based roms, whereas Samsung will have touchwiz based roms. Both will have cm.

Most popular ROMs?

Hey everyone, just got my htc one and I'm loving it. I plan on rooting soon and I want to try some ROMs but I don't know where to start. I'm coming from a galaxy s4 running hyperdrive. I really didn't like touchwiz, but cyanogen lacked a little too much galaxy s4 specific support for me. So far I like sense a lot better so I would like to try some sense based ROMs but like I said, I don't really know where to start (this is my first htc). Any recommendations for sense based ROMs that have great performance and feature tweaks?

I'm using SkyFall deodex. I came from Galaxy S3, really enjoying this phone. Not a lot of feature tweaks just yet but you can install Xposed Framework and get a lot of mods, check out Gravity Box and Sense 6 Toolbox. I know that a popular S3 developer is working on a new rom and he's pretty legit. SkyFall is stable, fast, and good battery life for me, but that's just my 2 cents.

I'm using ViperOne. Once you try it, you'll never want to flash another ROM again! It's sense based, and had more tweakable things than I've seen in any other ROM.

I think this is the best Roms.
