Can't turn back on my Data - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently traveled out of country and turned off my Data connection + Phone in my wireless controls during the duration of my trip (2 weeks). Now that I'm back, I can turn everything in my wireless controls back on EXCEPT my Data Connection. Every time I click it to turn it on, it takes me to a different screen for connections, asking me to "Add a new Modem connection", "Set up my proxy server", " Manage existing connections", and so on. Shouldn't my data just turn back on?
I have downloaded BsB tweaks but its settings have always been the same. I've turned on and off my Data connection multiple times before but not for this long of a period. It would usually just turn on and I can use my 3G but now it's not simply turning on. please help?

Nvm, I just turned it back on. For some reason it takes a few trys to turn it back on

Keep wifi awake during standby?

I tried to enable this feature in KaiserTweak and although it says the wifi is still on, it often cuts out and then does not function properly until I do a soft reset. Does anyone have a solution for keeping the wifi on during standby that works a little better?
Thanks!
DCD3.2.2
Radio 3.42.02
Pocket Toolman has that feature and it works.
I tried it and it appeared to be working for awhile but I've noticed that if I press the power button to put the phone into the standby when I resume the wifi says it is still connected but is in fact no longer functioning. All my internet-enabled applications disconnect and the browser doesn't work. Even when I move out of range of my access point the same access points remain in the available networks list. If I turn my wifi on and off and try to connect to another access point it never connects and an error pops up saying so. The wifi doesn't work until I do a soft reset.
If I do NOT enable the option to keep wifi active during sleep then all my internet-enabled apps disconnect when the phone is put in standby but the wifi continues to work properly when I resume the phone from standby...
I am running phoneAlarm. Could this cause some issues with it?
My current profile is set as "Do not change" for wifi though so I wouldn't think it would cause any issues...

Wifi switching itself off

HI all i have a G2 Touch unlocked running Modaco's latest rom and i cannot get the wifi to stay on longer than about 5 seconds. It does search and find networks and i have managed to put in the key for my orange box but in settings/wireless controls/wifi the box stays ticked and underneath the words WIFI it says disconnected. Ive gone to advanced and told it to never switch from wifi and this is remembered but as i said it lasts all of 5 seconds then disconnects and i have only once seen the wifi icon in the task bar once for 5 secs then it went !! Any advice would be much appreciated thanks.
Maybe the signal's too weak and it looses connection?
No it doenst actually ever connect, the wifi program on the phone cuts out way before it ever finds a connection.
Just making sure you've done this:
Go to Settings -> Wireless Settings -> Wi-Fi settings -> Add WiFi network. Then enter the SSID and necessary security information. After all that turn WI-FI on
Thats what i do still just cuts off after maybe 5 secs !! I give up looks like i have a Hero that doesnt like wifi
Hmm, it seems that I had a similar issue, but I had enabled the Y5-Battery Saver and it continuously switched off my WIFI when I was in place where I had not been connected before. Just wondering if you have enabled the same app...

No i havent, but thanks for the suggestion

Broke Wifi TouchPad 16GB

Is anyone else experiencing the wifi settings to crash? My wifi works fine for a few minutes but suddenly I lose signal and when I go to wireless and network settings, it crashes and I am out of signal. Anyone know of a solution for this?
Thanks!
Have you tried Regpon?
Also, I've had success with this simple task:
In Wi-Fi settings, "forget" the router you're trying to connect to. Then shut off Wi-Fi.
Wait 10 seconds or so then turn Wi-Fi back on.
I found this workaround when searching for Wi-Fi problems on this board. No problems, now. If you get a FC for Settings, select "wait" until you've successfully gotten the settings to "forget" the connection and until you've got Wi-Fi shut down.

Click to collapse
I tried this but still continues =/
In my case I tried to "forget" the WIFI password setting to access to the router, and restart your touchpad, and when finished booting the WIFI is back to normal then
The only inconvenient thing is you have to "forget" the password every time you shutdown or restart your touchpad.....
I think the reason for this wifi problem is that wifi's channel cannot be set up normal, I have seen it in my advanced setting of wifi, there are only three channels available for me to choose, which are 11 12 and 14.......
Also make sure you have your date, time and time zone set in settings.

[Q]Power management stamina mode not turning off wifi and data

Im new to the M4 from a note 3
I used to use an app called green power to turn off wifi and data when my screen was off and it would turn back on when my screen came on
This saved battery and data usage
I could see the wifi and data getting enabled when my screen would turn on
On the M4 under Power management-stamina mode it says data and wifi will be disabled when screen is off
From what I found it says
It achieves this by blocking data traffic a minute after the handset is placed on standby. Whilst doing this the phone automatically logs your IP address, meaning you are instantly connected once the phone is powered on again.
Is it normal I still see the wifi and data icons as soon as the screen is on with no delay?I figured wifi would be turned completely off as well as data when screen is on so it may take a sec r 2 fr th wifi to reconnect thus I would see nothing then H as 3G would kick in or LTE then Wifi would kick in
Wifi icon is always showing as well as data icon
Can anyone confirm what occurs with their phone with this option on? Is wifi/3G icons still on?
Just want to know if this is normal behavior or if my data is still getting used

Question Pixel 6 wifi keeps turning on after I turn it off

Hi folks,
Weird thing happening to me while I'm out of the country on vacation. Being out of the country is probably irrelevant though.
I'm in a hotel that has crappy slow "captive portal" wifi. So, you connect to the SSID without password, and it redirects you to a login page (name/room number), then it provisions the device.
The wifi frequently hangs or disconnects here, and is super slow even when it is working, so I decided to bail and just use my phone's mobile data. So I went into Internet and turned off the wifi. Slid that switch to OFF.
Looked down an hour later when I had trouble connecting to a site and found the wifi was back on and connected to the hotel site. I turned it off again, but shortly the same thing happened again.
Eventually I turned off the other part, where it can scan in the background for improved location etc, and THAT seems to have stopped the problem, but why does the wifi keep turning on and connecting when I've explicitly switched it off?
Bug? Feature?
Bit of a guess... you are on data roaming? If roaming, I bet the phone is looking for "better options" if discovery is on, and it will re-connect if it finds a wifi that it can use. I'll go with buggy-feature.
