Hi there,
I have yet another strange problem on my HD2 (T-Mobile).
My ROM (if relevant) is the original version that came with the phone - 2.13.531.1
when i look into the album, i can see pictures from all kind of sources: wallpapers, camera roll, facebook, internet pages i visited...
Even if i delete the pictures, after i visit facebook pages, they're back on.
any clues as to how to fix this?

Not sure if this will do what you want, but on starting on Sense albums tab:
Albums > More > [select desired folder] > Menu > Set Album as Favorite > Ok > tap 'x' to close
Photos in your selected album should now be the only ones which show, and no others.
Same Problem Im having also every single ringtone and game sound get into my song list in my mp3 player.

Thanks for your suggestion i already applied it previously.
This solves half the problem, since after i take a photo, if i press on the arrow that takes me back to the photo album, then it takes me back to the photo album that displays all the duplicates, facebook pics, etc...
only if i access the photo album from the home tabs (manila menu), it shows the favorite album i assigned.
I assume that something got mixed up in registry, maybe after i installed Hebrew language.
did anyone encounter this issue ?
I am also having this issue, it is rather annoying to say the least. I don't care to have to scroll through pics from games and every pic I have seen in facebook or Twitter. somehow though I keep having to do it .... I am stock out of the box, aside from minor changes like the UI and a new Twitter app.
Well at least i'm not alone here.
Hopefully someone out there has already found a solution for this..

When You search this forum carefully You will find a tweak to exclude all folders containing pics, music etc. which You do not want to have shown in Album or playlist ...............

Ok im having this issue with my phone. The problem is that i have 1095 pictures on my album because all the pictures from facebook, games and all types of other files are on my album and its taking up space like crazy, can any of you guys help me out with this i would apreciate it.

I guess you have taken too many photos on your storage card. Just get a bigger card or transfer some of them to your PC. As far as I know the fb and other pics r only saved as thumbnail and 1095 thumbnails don't eat that much space.
nah u not getting it, my problem is that everyones profile pictures and everything else and all my game files and all my icons are on my album as if i took a picture of them........they got there on their own somehow, i have no idea how and i dont want to delete them and then all my stuff stops working.
isnt there a way to just make things go back to normal how they was before?
Tell us more about your album settings, what ROM are you using and is your Album on storage card or main memory?
look at the hints and tips sticky (very first one), in there are the registry settings you need to alter to ignore certain folders and keep your album uncluttered.......

it has nuthing to do with the rom cause i had the rom since i got my hd2 nd i had my fone for a while now....and yes its on sd card

If the problem is number of pictures presented in album, not the space occupied, then maybe try setting one chosen folder as your favorite album:
"To set a favorite album
The Photos & Videos tab on the Home screen displays photos and video files from the current favorite album. By default, the Camera Shots album which stores the photos and videos you captured using the Camera is set as the favorite album. You can change to another favorite album, if preferred.
1. On the Albums main screen, tap Albums.
2. On the Albums tab ( ), tap the album you want to set as your favorite.
3. Tap Menu > Set Album as Favorite, and then tap OK."(as stated in the RTFM, p.248)

Some of my album art does not show in Google music. I looked in the folders and the jpg are there but they don't show. They do show up when I use other players such as winamp etc. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix?
In the past I've had art not show up for a little bit immediately after uploading them to Google Music, but it generally did start displaying eventually. In the cases where it didn't, I manually edited the album info on the Google Music desktop site (Select album > click the little icon at the bottom right where the art should be > Edit album info > "Change" to the right under where the art should be)

Sorry to revive this old topic, but I'm still having this issue I can see my album artwork in the browser player, but only some of them are correctly shown in the phone app. I'm using this ROM. Has anyone found a solution for this?

I find it annoying that ICS puts "albums" from all over the place in your gallery.
Anyone know if you can just show things like Camera, Videos and Downloads?

If you are talking about photos from Google+ and Picasa showing up in your gallery app, you should go to Settings > Accounts & Sync and stop syncing (uncheck) both Google+ and Picasa. Then go to Apps > All > Gallery and hit the "clear data" button.
Now when you go into your Gallery app it will only show photos from your installed camera apps, videos and any photos you have downloaded.
If you are trying to hide porn, put those photos in a folder with a period in front of it (ex: .no-no-pictures) and the Gallery app won't index it
If this still doesn't help, you could use the Quickpic gallery app. With Quickpic you can long-press any gallery and choose to permanently hide it.

You know, I don't have G+ listed in my accounts/sync page. On both my SGS2 and my TPrime. I would like to remove those pics from my gallery but keep Picasa. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like I can remove G+ without removing Picasa as well.

Which method worked? The quick pic app or other method.
Edit update: OK, that quickpic method works perfectly. You can use that app itself as album browser n just exclude photos/albums from it or you can hide them from all apps. When you choose to hide it adds that .nomedia file to directory you choose. It worked and now it won't show up in Gallery. Only thing though, I used quickpic to "UnHide" that directory and it doesn't work. At least in gallery app. It'll unhide in quickpic but still stays hidden from Gallery app. Don't get it..lol I used astro, es file explorer, and root explorer. All set to show hidden files. Can't find that file quickpic added to that directory to make it stay hidden from Gallery app. No big deal really but I like to always be able to revert stuff back if I want. ANYONE else notice this or know how to find that .nomedia file to delete it? To see if stuff reappears in gallery. Unhide method from quickpic doesn't work and stuff stays hidden in stock gallery app.
I'm having the same problem. The gallery is showing all my pics from picasa and google plus. I went to my sync settings and neither picasa nor google plus shows up (and even if they did, I would still want google plus posts synced). Quickpic doesn't show any of the pictures, probably because they are stored online.
Any other ideas for cleaning up the mess in the ICS gallery?
EDIT- the Apps > All > Gallery "clear data" option worked for about a minute, then the gallery started adding picasa and google plus pics again.
How about hiding all the pictures from my game data showing?
Alright I got it to work. This is what worked for me:
1. Go to Settings>Accounts & sync>Google Account> and uncheck Sync Google Photos and Sync Picasa Web Albums
2. Follow almightywacko's instructions above and go to Apps > All > Gallery and hit the "clear data" and "clear cache" buttons.
After that, open the Gallery and only the pics and videos stored on the device should be shown.

The first bit. Sync settings and then clear data.
basic Gallery questions....
I moved nearly 400 pictures from my PC to an SD card and uploaded them the Picture folder on the Prime. I then used Gallery to browse them - pretty nice but.
- the order that Gallery browses in from newest to oldest - I want to browse from oldest to newest. The picture properties were preserved. The file names from the camera is still preserved. How can I sort by date taken or filename? It is not obvious to me.
- some of the pictures required some editing. I lightened some up and hit "save" - popup said it was "saved to edited album". I then hit back (lower left back - not edit back) to return to the browse mode and the picture appeared as if it were not edited. Where does Gallery save the new picture? I would have thought it would have saved it in the album hat is being browsed.
I know these are basic questions - but it is the easy stuff not being obvious that is most annoying. Thank for any pointers or links to Gallery how-tos

Is there a way to change the folder that shows up when you first open the album? Unfortunately, this one folder has some inappropriate photos :angel:
2) Coming from a Galaxy phone, the default music player had tabs to view tracks by artist, album, playlist etc, but most importantly it also had a tab to view by "Folder" so I could pick out one of the many music folders I had and play what was in there. The Walkman on the Z2 seems to have everything except for "Folder" view. Is there a way to do this?

Well i dont fuly understand your problem but i have on my sd /pictures/screenshots and /pictures/oldcam
It showw within my albums each individual folder
If your trying to hide some folders put what you want in a folder and rename it to have a . In front of it like this .hiddenpics
And the walkman you cant change to tab view, folders are displayed in albums like on the albums app

The album problem is like this, I open up the album and there is a preview of several pictures at the top, just the the Movies app plays a little preview of some of the movies/videos you have. on my phone, the Album has chosen to show previews of this one particular folder and also the first pictures shown are from that folder, I have to scroll, all the way down before I see another folder. So I simply want a different folder to be at the top of the list and in the preview.
