I have a question,I have an official stock Android 2.1 from HTC (which is a Malaysian version)
Ok now I want to extract the HTC_CIME inside the stock rom but I have extracted it (using adb pull) and have sent it to a ROM dev,but the when he (the ROM dev) checked the files,he said I gave him the wrong .odex files...
Here is the download link for the files
http://www.4shared.com/file/ydn9fsfC/HTC_CIME_Pack__lib_files_inclu.html
for all the dev out there, pls help me to check the files,if I have extracted the wrong files, pls tell me which files should I extract from the official stock Android 2.1...

Hi, I have this question. in an earlier version of a rom using an app I have access to a set of symbols.

}
with a new version of the rom. a lot of the symbols get lost. or unmapped
which file from the older version of the rom, should I copy to the new version to restore the mapping of those characters?
I have searched the forum but I didn't find a thread to solve my question so any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks a lot for your help.
any one? .w.
What is the app you're using in these screenshots? Perhaps is something of the application.

frndz when i tryed to install CM7 on my xperia with CWM its will show this error my neo was rooted and bootloader unlocked can you plz trouble shoot this..? []
First install Stock GB ROM(either with flashtool or with SEUS)
Then install FXP kernel inside the zip file.
Boot into CWM recovery wipe everything EXCEPT system(and sdcard ofcourse)!
If you wipe system you will get that error again!
Install the zip and you re ready!
In simple words FXP ROM checks your build.prop. If you don't have the build.prop it wants(stocl or FXP) then it won't flash the ROM!
There is also an another way by editind the script inside the zip but I don't know what you have to edit! :/

Open the above archive, then open your zip file that you are installing and drag and drop the build.prop to system folder to replace the original file.
Similarly drop the updater script in META-INF\com\google\android and replace it.
Hit THANKS if it helps you.

Moving thread to Android development.... basic knowledge...
Compress the boot.img and system.img of a stock ROM or CM9/AOSP ROM for your device and that is your base ROM.

Intro:
Today I present you with GetDump, a Windows batch file that is the simplest way to get a system dump from your phone. All its takes is 2 clicks. I might add Linux and Mac OS 10 support in the future, but if anybody wants to do it for me that would be great. The ADB files are included in the zip so you don't need to install them. I hope I posted this is the right place....
Requirements:
Your device drivers (The drivers from the manufacture)
Windows
Should have ADB installed
How to use:
Unzip the GetDump.zip file then once its unzipped double click on the GetDump.bat file. After that follow the onscreen instructions. Once its done a window will pop up with your system dump inside of it.

Tell Me how you like it. SuperRs does more then just a system dump, but I might make one that just does a system dump.
I recently purchased a Lenovo Tab M10 HD (TB-X306f). I was able to connect to the tablet using my samsung phone and an OTG cable. I unlocked the bootloader successfully. My issue now is I do not have access to a PC and cannot download the latest firmware. TB-X306F_S230507_221128_BMP. I am hoping that some wonderful user that has the same model can upload the firmware file that is downloaded from the LMSA tool? Please help!!!
