Hi,
I searched around but can't seem to find any help with why I can't flash ROMs from 32GB cards. I've tried it with a class 4 Topram card then after I returned it I tried again with a class 2 Sandisk . Everytime I load the bootscreen for it to search the root of the card for leoimg the screen just flashes and continues to bootscreen without finding the ROm file.

May I suggest you try a maximum size of 4GB microSD card and format it with FAT32.
I honestly couldn't reproduce the threads right now, but I seem to remember reading about this issue before, concerning both 8 and 16 GB cards - So it seems logical it would apply to 32 GB cards as well. I don't know whether this is related to memory addressing issues or some other limitation - FAT 32, perhaps? (please, someone enlighten us both if you know) but using a 2 or 4 GB Card prevents the problem from occuring altogether.
as above said, most 16gb cards don't work(only know one person who has said the successful y used a 16gb card) and many 8gb cards don't work, so its a safe bet that a 32 is not gonna work. 2gb seems to be the optimum size, but 4 should work too.
for me, i have a 512meg card i use on the very rare occasions i use sd.
well since I got my HD2 I've used its 16GB sandisk to flash ROMs to the phone and have never had an issue before but both 32Gb cards I've tried just don't seem to respond.
Thats rather strange.
Theoreticaly you should only be able to flash from SD cards. During booting a driver is loaded so that SD HC cards can be read by the phone.
i.e. everything non SD HC up to 4GB should work fine, everything SD HC above 4GB should not allow flashing.

My Sandisk 16GB SDHC card also works perfectly for flashing on the odd occasion that I use it for flashing that is
hmm, that is interesting, I can't flash from my sandisk 16gb, class 2. Not sure why others can.
I can flash from 8gb class2 and below though. I use a 2gb sandisk just for this purpose.

I've got a bit of a problem with the SD Flash Method.
OK, I'm trying to flash a Raphael ROM, I name the .NBH file RAPHIMG.NBH and put it on the SD card (a standard microSD 2GB Kingston, formated with StorageTools as FAT32 512 bytes sector (/fs:FAT32/a:512))I put the RAPHIMG.NBH on the SD card useing a card reader and go in Bootloader, and than it sais "No Image Found!".
The device is T7272.
Thanks in advance.
can you try to name it RAPHIMG.nbh and give a try
Tried that too, but no change.
I hate to say it; Sandisks never disappoint you
I don't think the problem is in the card, I used the same card (but full with files) to flash ROMs on my Hermes, without problems, and my Sandisc is no longer operational (can't be read).
And i think like taiseer999 that it is your kingston card,or wrong format.....format it with windows please and give the card no name, maybey that will work.
I flash with a sandisc 8gb and it works ok
I first tried using the card already formated, even without deleting files from it, no reformating after useing it to format my Hermes. It has no name. My microSDHC card Kingston Class 4 can't flash ROM too.
Are you sure that the RAPHIMG.nbh file is, with the right CAPITALS, in the root of your card?
If you are, AND you are sure the formatting of the card is correct, try another card.
( I used a Kingston 8GB class 4 yesterday, and a SanDisk 8GB Class 6 two days before, both worked out.)
((and the 512MB SanDisk I have, collecting dust, worked good before.))
(I should update my sig, i'm on ROMeOS 1.40 WWE now)
I think it has been mentioned that the Kingston cards suck. I've always used my old 512mb sandisk microSD to flash and it has never disappointed me. To this day, I've never used my Kingston 4gb.

I used the same card to flash a slashscreen to my friend's Hermes, and it worked, I just removed the RAPHIMG.nbh, and put the HERMIMG.nbh, and I used the same card to flash my old Hermes few days ago (when I sold it out), when it was full of files, and with my RAPHIMG.nbh in it, and worked. I'm sure the leters are correct, checked it a few times, and I used ROMeOS 1.40 and the .nbh file is already named. I think the problem is elswhere, not in the card.
Finally someone with the exact same problem as me.
I also own a Hermes and my card flashes just fine on that device, but on the Raphael i always get a no go.
I doesn't matter how i format the card, i even tried different brands and different types e.g. Ultra II - SDHC - non SDHC
I tried every possible combination of case sensitive letters.
I'm lucky that i don't have any problems flashing the regular way, but i would really like to flash using my card, because i also use computers which do not have Active Sync installed on it.
I hope that someone can solve this issue because i'm still stuck here. If u need help or testing PM me or reply in this thread.
SO whats the final verdict here? I cannot flash becasue of my sd card?
I just flashed yesterday with my SD card. Not sure the brand of the microSD as my phone isn't right next to me.
so pissed I have an Adata 8 gig class 6 and I cannot flash through my card it won't recognize my raphimg.nbh ... Its driving me looney. Wish something could be done i don't want to get a new card.
Did all of you format your card using FAT32?
Hmm. Could it be that the rom flash only works with microsd cards and not microSDHC cards?
I have the sandisk 8gb sdhc class 6 and that works great, flasht already 20-25 times with it. so sdhc no problems

I guess ill have to transfer everything to my desktop and and 32 fat the thing.
Successful
I've had no problem. I'm using a 256mb Sandisk formatted Fat32. Image name is RAPHIMG.nbh
Mine is microSD and is FAT32 formated, but it's not working. My other card is microSDHC and is also FAT32 formated, but it's not working too.
i have recently bought a TG01, when i got it it was running the orange WM6.1 rom, it wouldnt detect either my 4GB or 8GB micro sd cards, i had to lend a 1GB card to run the official 6.5 update, now the 4 and 8gb cards are detected but whenever i try to flash a rom i get SD Mount error after it loads the SDDL. anyone know why this would happen and if it could be due to that its been partitioned for use on a hero previously?

From the beginning we have problem with the cards. You can find more info in (http://www.modaco.com/content/toshi...m/291115/toshiba-tg01-memory-card-corruption/).
Try to format your card and start from 0.

Try to format your card and start from 0. I had this problem but don't remember with witch program I format the sd card. Wen I bought my TG01 it show me just 1GB and the card was 8GB then I find some info that you need to format y our card but I didn't find now where is this info. In the modaco web you can find more info and in google about this.
ive tried formatting it several times, the phone picks up the card fine when in winmo, i just cant flash any roms with it as the SDDL cant mount it.

To format your card use (“sdfv2000.exe”) I uploaded for you. Try it if not working I have an other solution.
Same Issue.
I have been having the same issue since day 1. Has driven me insane with program's icons that are loaded up on the sd card not showing up properly in the start menu, they always have a blank icon on them. Has really driven me crazy. Has anyone found a solution to this?
try and use sddl+ to flash the rom instead of just sddl
Already did that.

Thank you for your advice however I already tried that potential solution and many different roms and radios, I tried formatting my SD card with the Panasonic sd card format utility, but no luck. Would getting a class 10 Kingston card be a smart idea? Or maybe I need to buy a slower Transflash card? I have a 4GB Class 6 from SanDisk but the same error occurs. Do I and the other people have defective phones, or is this an issue that can be solved? What should I do?

I've never had a problem with SD Card. Now I bought a 16GB Kingston Class 10. I have no problem with the card, work properly.
Getting a class 10.
Tell ya what, I will get the class 10 cuz more space is always good, I will let everyone know if it has solved the problem. Before I do this, I am just going to buy an el-cheapo class nothing sd card and see if the same problem occurs and then I will have tested the range so to speak. I will report anything interesting.

Do you format FAT or FAT32?
To FAT or not to FAT
Well.. I am actually FAT76KGz.... but ehhehe.. OH the sdcard I Am so funny!
The sd card is fat 32. HMMM.. Maybe I should try fat 16.... ?
-Kilihari.
i had to get another sd card to install Cm7 on my fascinate. my 8gig class4 and my 32 gig class4 cards would not work. i got a basic 2gig sd (non HC, with no class shown) and it installed just great...
my question is, now can i take out that card, and reinsert my 8 gig or even better my 32 gig card? i did it, and the phone runs like crap and locks up now, after reboots, wiping cache etc..and it has the hardest time reconzing the cards. but as soon as i put the 2 gig in works perfect...
what can i do? i need more the n 2 gig storage that is for sure...
any help would be appreciated.
i noticed there were some logs on my 2gig card that worked..am i suppose to transfer those over if i switch cards? maybe thats the reason?
Have you tried formatting the cards in CWM, or in the phone?
Obviously larger cards are used all the time with these ROMs, so there has to be something going on.

I would try that but I can't get the phone now cwm to mount/reconize it.....that's the issue
These weren't cards that had previously had issues with other MTD roms where they?
These cards work if you go stock?

Yeh they worked perfect on stock tw gb roms...
Did you try reformatting the sd cards from you computer?
Yep...I sure did
Unfortunately I think your going to have to buy another sd card... I'm using a pny class 10 16gb...workin good so far, cost about 25.00.
For some odd reason, and nobody knows why, the MTD roms are very particular about the sdcards that get inserted. We never figured out what type of card is favored by the MTD roms, and although a card may work great on TW BML roms, it may not mount and get fried on MTD roms. It's very random from one phone to another and you will need to figure out what card works for your phone.
If you insert your old card back in after installing CM7, your sdcard might be mounted the very first time but it will start getting corrupted. If it didn't work the first time when you tried to install CM7 with it, it won't work later. That's just how it is.
So I have a 32GB microSD card that works perfectly in everything except my Atrix 4g. It didn't work in the stock ROM, doesn't work in CWM, and doesn't work in CM10. I put it in and it says "SD card possibly damaged, you may need to format" or something like that. So I do that, and when I tap format it just flashes some screen and then keeps showing the ongoing notification about how my SD card is damaged..
I tried FAT32 and exFAT, neither worked. Tried quick and full format for both. Any suggestions? Or does 32GB not work on the atrix?
Hmmm...
It may be that your SD slot is damaged, or the SD card/brand is not compatible. I have a 32GB card in mine that works perfectly. If other SD cards(2,8,16GB) work, then I'd try another brand of 32GB SD card, if no others work, then the slot is probably the issue.
Hope that helps.
Dre
Have you tried a different MicroSD card in your Atrix? I remember reading that the MicroSD slot gets loose and stops reading cards. If your current card works fine in other devices, try a different card in your atrix.

None of the ones I tried worked. Is there any known issue with the SD slot that's an easy fix or am I screwed unless I want to open it up and do some soldering?
Are you sure you are not trying to put 32GB SDXC card? I don't see how 32GB SDHC any different from for say 8GB SDHC.
I know there are numerous posts on this, however I could not find one that addressed my specific situation.
I have a rooted Lg G3 with stock rom and I am trying to use a class 10 SanDisk Extreme (16gb). The micro sd card read just fine on my computer with no problem at all with reading and writing data, however when I plug it in my phone I get a dialog that addresses the fact that a micro SD card. But when I check the storage setting I see that it has failed to mount.
To see if its a functionality problem on my phone i mounted a class 4 SanDisk micro SD with no error. I tried formatting the sd card through my computer to NTFS and FAT32 with 32 kb allocation size (quick format switched off) yet still no luck. Is it a possibility that LG G3 is not compatible with class 10 micro SD Cards?
Any help would be appreciated, and thanks for your time.
Just to update the information I posted above, but I tried mounting the SD card on my friend's Verizon Galaxy S5 and it ended up successfully being able to read and format it. Maybe it's my phone? If so is there anyway of fixing it or possibly modifying it?
It is possible that the handset cannot read/mount Class 10 cards, I've seen it mentioned in threads before about trouble with mounting SDCards, Class 10 seems to be the biggest problem I've seem mentioned.
Use the search for Class 10 on the forums and see if a solution is available
