Been somewhat aggravated with how the phone displays cell signal for the longest time. Maybe I'm just not understanding how it should be displayed, but......
Service w/ 0 bars

I understand I may have just enough service for the "T-Mobile" to be displayed, but not enough service to display 1 full bar. Here's where I'm confused.....
"Searching" w/ 4 bars
I don't know how many times I've shown 4 bars and tried sending a text only to have it fail right away. IMO, if my phone is searching for signal, it shouldn't be showing any bars.
This is only happening at work where I have horrible signal. At home is no problem.

Okay so it done it again an while typing. It happened 2 weeks ago. It only happens between 11pm ans 7 am in the mornings. Don't know if it happens past 7am. So would they be testing it here? It says I'm not roaming under status. But it doesn't say I'm on att. It shows number instead of att look at screen shotbbelow. And it will go into lte when my phone is dormant. But when i go use the phone or internet it will sit there for a few sec tthen drop to 3g. This area just got 3g from edge a few months ago. So I'm sure they wouldn't be already testing lte here. Its a very small town.

I am currently using the -dBm signal to see my cell reception in my Hyperdrive rom. I no longer need or want the regular cell signal bars. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the cell signal bars without getting rid of the WiFi or 4G icons? I want to keep those. Is this possible with root or an Xposed module? Once again, I don't want to get rid of the WiFi or 4G icons, just the cell signal bars next to the 4G icon in the screenshot below since I don't need them anymore.

Hi
I have this phone for almost two years now.
It worked good up until now, and I don't remember what happened, but the SIM cards don't work anymore, they're recognized, but phone indicates 'No Service'.
Obviously I can't make phone calls or connect to the internet via G3 mobile data.
Here's what the reception signal indicators look like:

Any ideas on how to fix this?
BTW, the phone was complaining about over heating once before it happen, not sure if it was right before that, and thus, can't tell you if it's related.
Any hacking to fix this? Maybe resetting SIM settings to factory default? Anything to check in the internals?
My setup at home includes having a main router and a repeater so I am frequently having switching networks. However, recently for no reason in the drop down under wifi in the quick settings it says "no saved networks available". Therefore I have to click more settings and do it there. Although this may not be a major issue it is just very unclear to me as to why this has happened - I cannot think of anything I have done to cause this.
The attached image shows what I see and yes, I do have a layer applied (not that it should have anything to do with it) but that was applied long before this occurred. I have tried removing it and the result wasn't any different.
Anyone know what could be the issue?

This may well nd up being something of nothing, but, the last few days has seen this repeatedly appear toward the bottom of my screen. Happens in all apps, at any time. Was a nightmare trying to screenshot it as it is only there a second or two.

The blob is covering a number. No idea if number is important but covered it just to be safe. 8 digit number if that is of any relevance.
Just seems a little odd that this would suddenly start happening. Googled the 'address' and it goes nowhere. No idea on the Chinese however.
