Hi guys!
I'm looking for HTC_IME keyboard for my X10 mini. T9 dictionary drive me crazy. It is possible to use HTC_IME on QVGA, we can see it on Wildfire or Tattoo. Anybody heard about apk file with QVGA keyboard? Every thread on XDA with HTC_IME has only two versions - high-res for WVGA/FWVGA and low-res for HVGA resolution.
It will be great to hear about HTC_IME for our X10 mini
PS: YES, I MAY BOUGHT X10 MINI PRO, but i choose X10 mini. Solution "buy x10 mini pro" is not answer.
Have a nice day
I use smart keyboard pro, it has an HTC skin available. Might be what you're after.

Quite good, but i think that the HTC_IME is the best, Smart Keyboard Lite don't have dictionary but payed version is not avaible in my country in market...
I've also been scouting for this but to no avail, I even downloaded a wildfire rom and extracted the kb out of it and tried to installed that but it didn't work. I have got smart keyboard on my mini but I must say it's even worse to use than the default t9 one as the screen is too small. Weather the htc one would be any better is doubtful.

Do you mean the one listed here:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5475283
Yes, i'm looking for this keyboard but in super-low resolution (320x240).
Version HVGA (480x320) is half-cuted, it's not possible to use it...
Wildfire and Tattoo has the same resolution, so it is possible to cut from one of this and assamble to use on X10 mini (& mini pro)

Ok, we are in half way to great keyboard
Anyone know how to copy other language dictionary from HTC_IME HVGA/WVGA to HTC_IME QVGA?
Then i had the hero there was a fil that was on the sd card that had the lang. But dont know if it works here too
Edit. i tried the fil on sd and do not work, i think we need a htc ime mod for qvga :-(

HTC IME
To have a different language try this:
change your language in locale setting to english(or another different from yours),reboot device, back to your language,reboot..for me is ok.
Easily the best keyboard out there, especially because of the physical keyboard correction.
Any progress in this matter?
Yeah I'd like that too! P.s must say this app is amazing!

Agree, this is a fantastic keyboard!
EDIT.. (no point in making a new post)
I can't get the physical keyboard correction to work.. I've turned on all the QWERTY prediction/spell check options and nothing happens when using the physical keyboard.
is there something obvious i'm not doing?
SECONDARY EDIT
I've found out what the problem is.. basically there is not hardware keyboard correction/spell check if the cursor is in the text box by default. It *does* work if you manually select it.
...Hope this helps someone :s
It's ported from the tattoo or from the wildfire? ;-)

Thank you for the keyboard In4m, using it atm
thanks so much for this. this is why i bought an android device. the ability to continually improve no need to wait for updates from the manufacture. because of people like you make these devices so wonderful for people that aren’t happy with base software and want the ability to adapt and customize they’re devices.

Definately - use the HTC one!
If you don't like the standard keyboard, try SlideIT. Works very well!

X2 totally agree
i practiced with the swype keyboard on my x1 because i know i was gonna get the x10.
i thought since the screen was smaller on the x1 if i could use it then i would be a breeze on the x10. i was totally right.
it is by far the best keyboard.
plus when ppl see you use it they are amazed. ive impressed a few of my friends with it already
I make use of the "Thick Buttons" Keyboard from android market. I like the letter prediction.
Swype is by far and away the best keyboard on any device.
It works tremendously well with the X10 to the point that I can type emails faster than people on full qwerty (HW/SW) or T9.
Hoping it comes out for full release soon.
swipe is great. but if you like to type or can't find the swipe ask the HTC_ime keyboard is great.

Swype is the only thing that can shut an iPhone fanboy up causing heavy jaw dropping. I witnessed it a few time already, and I can tell you - it feels good
Another vote for Swype, I have been using it for 2 weeks now and love it, anyone have a newer version i'm using version 1.25.16.5612
Swype is the fastest way to type on any smartphone

i Was Wondering If You Could Help Me?
When i Turn Swype To The Side It Says:
The Swype package you have installed does not match the screen sixe of the device. Please contact Swype about this issue.
Screen size:854x480
Anyone Have a Fix?
Hi all,
does anyone else NOT like the stock keyboard? I own the 2010 X10 Mini and the stock keyboard is brilliant...you CANNOT make mistakes ... it just works.
My problem is the stock keyboard on the Xperia Mini is way too sensitive. There is a thread on sensitive keys, but I just read they are talking about the BACK and MENU keys not the text buttons.
Has anyone tried alternative keyboards on our Mini that they recommend? p.s. I like SE's non-qwerty keyboard, T9 etc. I quite like that.
Try SwiftKey X, find on Google Play, is awesome!

If you select multiple input languages (I have Dutch and English) it just becomes a language switch and much less annoying. But the keyboard isn't the best, I preferred the old 2011 version (the one on the Arc, Neo, ...)
can u recommend me a new keyboard?
is go keyboard ok ?

Thumb keyboard. To me it's the best. I prefer it over swiftkey. Swype is also a good alternative.
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
I use the stock still, but have you tried SlideIT? I used it on my X10 and found it pretty decent. It kinda works like the stock, but without the settings key
I don't find the settings button a problem because I switch between English and Dutch a lot, so it's not there.
I use Smart Keyboard Pro

Hi,
I'm running the Hasa MIUI 2.9.7 rom on my sk17i with locked bootloader. Really like the rom, no real issues found.
Except that I can't change the hardware keyboard layout of my mini pro.
It's a Belgian Mini Pro, so with azerty, but when I change /system/usr/keyboard-config/keyprint.xml and reboot, it just stays qwerty.
Can someone help me out?
Do you have the azerty.xml in the layouts folder?
I did it the other way around on stock (I'm used to qwerty) and it worked perfectly.

I have it, but indeed, perhaps it's a faulty one.
I'll replace it with an older version.
EDIT: replaced azerty one, even replaced qwerty-en.xml and qwerty-jp.xml by an azerty config, but to no avail???
I have the fix guys....dont worry...waiting for someone's permission to post it.asap
