Hi, really need some help pls. i recently changed the glass lens on the housing of my HD2, i opened it up to change it but when i put it back together i have problems. When i was undoing it one of the ribbons on the motherboard became loose, which i put back in. Im not a complete noob to reparing electronics (got an ipod ) but can't work this out: The camera does not load up, just says 'unable to initialize camera. failed to set up camera device'. The speaker no longer works and the side volume buttons do nothing but everything else is fine.
I thought it might be a loose connection but i checked them all and was careful taking it apart (easy compared to ipod). Is it possible i need a hard reset? or has something died?
Any suggestions appreciated

I purchased a broken XDA (broken touchscreen) to take apart and try to repair - didn't want to crack the case on my working one. Before opening the it, I turned it on and got the "Align Screen" routine, so I know the screen worked at one point. I opened it up, detached the cables, removed the LCD module, then reassembled everything. I used the same LCD module, no replacements at this time, this was just a trial run.
Unfortunately, once I tried to turn the XDA back on, I got nothing. I performed a hard reset and got the White Screen. Tried soft reset, hard reset, opened it back up and redid the cables. Still nothing.
I'm open to suggestions.

Bad reassembled or disassembled
Obviously. Anyone with useful suggestions?

i had the same rpoblem too, never solved it, although before this i made the same trick more than 5 times oin which one of them was on the same phone.
Just a thought but when you've taken out the lcd & put it back in have you overtightened it ? or is there anything pushing on the edges of the screen ?
I know some displays go very strange if there is pressure at certain points.. just an idea :?
LCD Screen Change
Haha! I fixed it. Got a big ol' magnifying glass and examined the connector. One of the little pins was bent and touching the pin next to it, so I pulled it away, and lo and behold, everything started working normally!
Whew. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

This is the 2nd digitizer I've broken on this phone. I took it off and replaced it. I put it back together and the digitizer did not work. I checked the connections and even took the digitizer off. I put the old, cracked but working, digitizer on and it no longer worked. I took the phone apart again and put the new digitizer on and it still did not work. Considering the old digitizer suddenly did not work, it must have been something I did to one of the boards or connectors on the phone. Also, the speaker no longer works. Any thoughts or suggestions on where I went wrong?
I can't guess what's the problem exactly but I can give you a few tips.
dissasmeble the phone according to the vidoes you can find on the web.
when you assemble it don't attach the digitizer to the screen yet. connect the digitizer first to the phone. then put the screen in place, with the digitizer still connected but not on the screen.
in this way you can test the phone before "closing" it.
Good. Jiayu G4T I have a camera that works sometimes ...
Sometimes taking away the battery back ride ... Other magically works ...
I give the application and no picture ... says it can not open the camera and the application closes.
Install a new ROM and I did everything the same root but ...
Abri the phone the other day and everything is very well connected ...
I need to know if I can get the error code or something to tell me if the front or rear camera is broken ... or if some software glitch ...
I do not want to order the part then this is not the problem ...
Thank you very much!
Good. I have news.
Change the camera and the problem persists.
I do not recognize the rear camera, flash and front ...
I'm desperate ...
If I make a restoration of data makes the application of the camera disappears ...
I have reinstalled several roms by SP Flash tools over twenty times ...
Any idea?
You replaced the camera-module, right?
perhaps you have a faulty connector (dirt on the contacts or bad soldering).
Try to clean the contacts of the connector with a little amount of IPA (Iso Propylene Alcohol) without flooding the device nor the camera.
Also you can try to insert a small peace of packaging material to apply some preassure to the connector and reassemble the device.
If you are lucky this will fix the issue.
Hi there,
Only a small part of my phone screen (the inner center) is working. Recent apps, back button and the outer part of the screen are not working.
I think I dropped it accidentally, as there's a small crack on the bottom back of the device. It doesn't look bad, though.
Since it happened, I tried a factory reset, clearing cache and now I'm stuck at the Android configuration screen, as I can't do anything to past that point.
My question is: Do you guys think it may have 1) damaged the digitizer/screen or 2) maybe just a connector/flat cable has gotten a bit loose?
If it's the first option, I might take it to a technician to swap everything. I don't want to sort a new screen from China and wait a month to arrive.
If it's the second option, I might just open it and reconnect stuff around.
Any input on this is highly appreciated.
Cheers!
Hi all,
Today I've replaced the screen of my Poco F1. Everything was goig fine until I started puting everything back together. When I had the new screen connected, I tested it by switching on the phone and entered the testcode *#*#64663#*#*. For some reason the code didn't open the function test menu (I'm running Pixel Experience, could this have something to do with it?). I didn't think much of it and since the screen seemed to be working properly, I switched off the phone and went ahead and started putting everything back together.
Before shoving the back cover back on, I wanted to test everything so I switched on the phone. After the initial "Pocophone - Unlocked" message, the phone shuts off. I am able to boot to TWRP and access internal memory and the SD Card. From that point I tried:
Taking it apart again to the point where I switched on the phone and it was working
Plugging the old screen in
Recovering from a month old image I had on the SD Card (now it goes straight into fastboot when i try to boot to system)
Wipe system, data, dalvik and cache and flashing clean Pixel OS
Sadly, none of this solved thie issue. At this point I've ran out of ideas so I'm hoping someone here can help me out.
I'm open to all sugestions and please let me know if I can test anything or if you require further information.
Thanks in advance!
How about trying to revert back to stock rom using fastboot mode
Turns out, it wasn't a software issue. I damaged the dock connector on the motherboard (where the main board flex cable connects to the MB). I removed the pins that were damaged (2,3,4,5 counting from the top right to the left) and somehow the phone now boots and seems to be working fine. It only doesn't indicate that it's charging, even though it is. Is there someone who can advise me on whether I can continue using the phone or if it's doomed to fail and worst case, explode (overcharging?) I'd also like to know if there's a better place to ask this question.

Your local Xiaomi Support Centre. I mean you have snapped some pins of a connector. The connector needs replacing.

Hello,
me too , after chaning the screen I can't get past MIUI logo.
About 15 minutes after a messed the the flex tape and no is working,
i'm going to change my earpiece also let's hope that nothing goes wrong.
The weird thing is that changed my screen cause the upper right corner is not working(next to notch) and my screen has some faint lines and also sometimes flickers, I changed the screen and the problem remains...
