I get notification sounds during a call and it makes it difficult to hear the other person. I checked Settings but didn't see any way to disable this. Am I missing something? Is there a way to stop notification sounds during a call?
if you go to settings>call settings>all calls>alerts on call and turn it off it will not make the sounds anymore.

I tried this on my LG Optimus and there was no option under "call settings" for "all calls." Did I miss something?

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but my TBolt won't vibrate when I get a text or email, but it will when I receive a phone call. I am running Chingy's Perfect Storm 1.3. Any ideas for me? Thanks a lot!

If you are using the HTC Messaging app open it hit Menu >> Settings under the Received Messages area select Vibrate.
Within GMail hit Menu >> More >> Settings scroll down and hit Vibrate then select the option you would like to use.
Within the HTC Mail App, hit Menu >> More >> Settings >> Notification Settings and hit "Notification vibrate" to turn it on.
Hope this helps.
See this is why I asked where I could locate the file responsible for vibration. I want to see if I can create an app or just a general change to set it to a more pronounced vibration. I'm a noob so I have to ask. That is the only real reason I rooted. I hate the fact they don't just put a check if I want it to vibrate on any call or notification. And a slider to adjust the length of said vibration.

Is there a way to set multiple notifications tones for different things text messages and a different tone for emails, ect
Go into the settings menu for any item you want to set the notification sound for. There will be a Notifications option in the settings menu for each email account, text messages, etc. where you can set the sound for each one's notification. Also, questions should go in the Atrix Q & A section.

No what he's saying is each app that you want a different sound for open it go into its settings and change it from there. Thats how you gotta do it.

use Light flow, not only does it allow you to set specific tones for apps that dont allow you to customize (words with friends), but it also allows you to change the LED notification color

Thanks I will give it a try but did figure out how fix my problem by using root explorer and renaming the conversation.apk to conversation.apk.bak which it uninstalls it but keeps it in the phone in case I wanna use it again by doing that it allows any other sms app to be the one and only choice to choose from so the end result is was no more double notifications sounds in my text messages so thanks for everyones help and I will check out that Light Flow app it sounds pretty good.
could a moderator move this to the correct section (Q&A) THANKS

for double notifications, you need to goto the stock sms app and disable notifications entirely.. (menu button > settings > untick notifications) then just enable them in the new sms app you use such as Go SMS Pro or Handsent
Under what menu can I find that item and to disable the call beginning and the call ending sound?
When I had Skyrocket, I could disable those sounds under the "sound" menu, but I can't find such an option in my new S3 with ICS.
Thanks.
Anyone with an answer?
Thank you.
I just found it. I had to go digging through the phone for it because it was annoying the hell out of me too.
Open the "phone." From inside the phone press the menu key > call settings > call alert > call status tones
then select whichever options you want.
Oh thank you so much. I guess this is an ICS menu thing...
can someone tell me what this status bar icon means. i have marked it with a circle on the attached pic.
so please help
You have Hearing Aid Compatibility turned on.
If you don't need it, you will find the option to disable it in Settings > Call Settings. Between "TTY mode" and "Call forwarding"

thx for the help. i have even tried to restore back to factory setting but after a few Days that Icon showed up again but now i know how to remove it
This sounds a dumb question but I cannot find any call settings on my wileyfox swift 2 phone. Ultimately all I want to do is to get it to divert callers to my (giffgaff and already set up) voicemail if I don't answer or am out of zone (all the time if at home); but it's not doing that - I think it just rings and rings and rings. It took me a while to work out why I hadn't got any voicemail messages for the last 2 months! I can't seem to find any settings that are even remotely relevant in the settings menu and in the phone app itself there isn't even a menu (just icons for history; dialing; people/contacts). The phone says "true caller" at the top which appears to be an app that I don't particularly understand or want, though this is probably nothing to do with the immediate issue if anyone knows how to disable this then that might be welcome

To enable your voicemail open the Truecaller app > tap the three stripes in the left top corner > go to settings > got to phone settings > go to calling accounts > tap your sim provider at the top > go to voicemail
