It's antenna socket.
I don't know if it's antenna socket,if so,there is another one...Look at the picture...I found the picture in this forum-dissasembling X10...
Sorry for my bad english.l
[/IMG]
I say it is a mic
why would unused antenna socket need an opening in the back cover? Also, it is too shallow to be an actual connector and... why put it under a cover?
It's the flux capacitor. Or something that Dr Who put in so you can make calls through time and space.. it is leading edge it is.

It`s for a wrist strap, the hole next to the headphone socket is for the Noise cancellation microphone.
how does the wrist strap fit to it then? coz they normally loop back on themselves to keep attatched to the phone but i cant see the bar it wud loop round. or is it a lock in type? thanks for the replys
You put the strap though the hole with the back off the phone and the strap loops over a pin and the back cover stops the strap pulling out.
The picture below is from the user manual.

i dont know how but i messed up my phone speakers. i took the phone to the sprint store and they told me they have water damage. they sound very tinny and low. i guess they must have gotten wet inside. is there any way to replace the speakers? im out of warranty and my phone is useless without speakers. any ideas, suggestions? many thanks and merry xmas everyone!!

The part you need is the middle plate with the loud speaker it shouldn't be that hard to repair. The problem is finding that sucker and this site only sells to wholesalers.

You should go around in the cm7 thread (development section) and check the last few pages for thesian. He works for sprint and maybe he could sell you one or at least tell you where to get it. Send him a private message I'm sure he'd be cool enough to help you.

When you're recording a video. Audio directly going towards the back of the phone as opposed to underneath where your hands will probably be.
Also for noise canceling

Yeah noise canceling mic.
Hi there,
I've "accidentally" buyed an cr650 speaker dock, without reading here first.
So after I ran mad because it does nothing more as loading my phone in ish speed, I've finally red here that the x+ has no dock mode neither it can be installed...
I allready red that shorting the two usb data lines will make it load with full 1A.
But I don't wanna make it a pure loading dock.
Is there any possibility to gain audio aux via these crapy pogo pins on x+?
Or do I really have to install a BT audio device inside the dock, (hope the dock works without a connected phone :/ )
Greetings

I recently surrendered on getting Sound out of my pogo connector.
But I managed to attach an 3,5mm Headphone jack to the PCB.
Now it's a fully working audio station with HTC one x loading functionality.
Next goal is to attach an BT receiver to it.
So I made some good investigations in the tech of the cr650 dock and the pogo connectors, I will post some more information.

I tried softly to pull the sim card cover flap out the phone. Unluckily, the flap outer surface get separated from other parts. And I see the adhesive between is not much sticky. [
