i've got this PDA from my friend. the brand is MIO A702
it's a PDA embedded with GPS sort of thing(i didn't know how to activate it)

and its rom when startup screen is R39.5.115
but my sim card wasn't detected, i think it was locked..
so ... do i have to HSPL it? downgrade the radio and install it again..
i've experienced upgrading my HTC touch to win mobile 6.1
but it almost 1 year a go..and someone in this forum helped me in the progress, .
i wonder you guys can help me to unlocked and upgrading the PDA

Not sure if it's relevant, but I made a little ROM on the Kaiser called "Mobile Vista" back at the start of 2008. I wonder if the original poster's talking about that?
Just in case he is talking about that - I can definitely say I have no plans to make any ROMs for the Raphael because:
Cooking took a lot more time than I have now
Proper cooking takes a lot more knowledge/brains than I have!
The Raphael ROMs being released suit what I like muh better than the stripped out Kaiser ROMs at the time
So my brief foray into cooking taught me a lot, but mainly eternal respect for the people on here who do the proper cooking (porting XIP and SYS? Way beyond me! I only just coped with making OEM packages).
That said, the original poster's probably never heard of my ROM and is actually talking about installing desktop Vista on his phone!

The manufacturer promised upgrade from Android 2.2 to 4.0, but to date nothing. The company no longer not communicating. Seeking compensation for this firmware. I'm looking for a faster and more stable Android. 2.2 is very slow and does not have any support. Please find here among you any alternatives? Thank you in advance for your answers. Does anyone know of an available recovery (TWRP or CWM) ?
What about custom or stock rom?
I do have the device rooted already. Is there a way to do a full save of the stock OS on it now? I tried using ADB with what I thought are proper parameters but the file I end up with when it completes is only like 300meg which seems way off in size.
Does the recovery or custom rom need to be for the CPU type or are there other hardware dependencies you have to be mindful of?
