Hi i've a problem.
I insert some image in my contacts in the phone(x10 mini pro) but when i sync the contacts with gmail the picture doesn't sync with contacts in gmail.
I try the viceversa, if i gave a picture to a contact in gmail, when i sync I see that image in the cell phone.
Any ideas?
I've noticed that sometimes newly added pictures take a while to show up in Gmail, but they seem to turn up eventually - It's possible that it does a text-only sync first, then syncs the pictures later

Can anyone help me solve this problem?
I exported all my old contacts to a CSV. I then updated my Hero's ROM and started fresh. To get my contacts back I just imported them into my google contacts and synced the phone.
It appeared to sync fine, all the contacts came up - but NONE of them have any phone numbers, birthdays, other information that is all clearly there when I view the contacts in gmail.
Birthdays etc I can deal without, but no phone numbers is a BIG problem as I have over 400 contacts and I'm not interested in typing them all back into the phone. Why isn't google contacts sync working correctly?
Has anyone else had this problem?
Though I haven't had a problem with syncing Gmail contacts to my Hero, I would like to know this just in case it happens.
I had trouble synching the contacts I had uploaded to the gmail web site on my wife's phone. we go them to synch correctly by forcing a new synch event.
go Home and press Menu
Select Settings, the "Data Synchronization" form the list that comes up
Select Google from the next list
Under the section "Application sync settings" remove the checkmark next to Contacts
Wait a few seconds then put the checkmark back. This fiorced a synch and pulled up the gmail contacts that were loaded on the web page.

My contacts are stored on my phone. But I want to sync them with Contacts on Gmail. Sync is on, and I chose: Sync now. It syncs contacts and calendar, but when I look in Gmail, nothing is there. But when I add a NEW contact(and choose directly to Gmail) then it works.

i have a samsung galaxy s, and used to sync my contacts via samsung kies with microsoft outlook, that way i could reserve also my contacts thumbnails, howevere this method was annoying and took too much time, so i switched to syncronization with my gmail account.
every thing went ok, only one thing bothered me which is i couldn't reserve my contacts thumbnails this way. so every time i reset my phone or lost my contacts,
i noticed that it doesn't get back contacts thumbnails after resync with my google account.
Is there any thing i could do to make my phone sync contact photos also?
is there any tool or app which can do it?

All,
I use an exchange server at work. Connecting to it and syncing my contacts has been a no brainer so far. However, one of the things that I've been doing lately is taking pictures of all my contacts with the Note's camera. Once I do that, I edit the contact on the Note and then set the contact's picture. This all works fine.
However, I expected that the image would be uploaded and stored on the exchange server so that when I log in with Outlook, the contact's image would be there on my desktop as well. That is not happening.
Am I missing something? Or does the Contacts application not have the ability to sync the photo back to the Exchange Server?

I had all my contacts set up and their facebook pictures were on their phone number. Now I let my friend sign into his facebook on my phone and then after all my contacts lost their facebook pictures. I then logged back in and synced and their pictures are not back. I removed the account and then resynced it and their pictures are in contacts under facebook, but not under address book. How can I sync them all from facebook to contacts without doing it individually? And is there a way that I can have it setup so that if other people login to facebook on my phone that it doesn't erase all my stuff?
