Hi guys, I just got my Vibrant, rooted it and now I am having a problem with Swype.
I want to install a newest version that supports Greek, so I deleted Swype from /system/apps.
When I try to install the version I have it tries to install it and then says "Application not installed"
Any ideas ???
Thank you...
I was having very similar problems with my Swype. It wouldn't open. I had done a backup of it with Titanium Backup and even a restore wouldn't fix it. I had to use nandroid to fix it. Maybe backup all your data and flash stock with odin?
Download Swype.apk from a ROM and just adb push it into /system/app again.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but if Titanium is already installed & working, why would I want to install it in Recovery mode? I read changelog 3.2.9.2 but it's not completely clear to me. Is it so that after flashing a ROM I can install TB in Recovery, so that when I reboot, everything is fully restored, without having to reinstall TB from the Market? And, if so, is that what actually happens, or is it just for convenience sake?
+1 and amen...
I thought the update.zip contains all the apps and data, so it would be easier to install via the recovery.
When I open it, press Backup/Restore I don't see any apps. All I see is:
Country, Language, Time zone
Wi-Fi access Points
Bluetooth Pairings
Accounts
Application Widgets
but nothing else. The apps I want to backup/uninstall is not shown.
I tried searching and google, but nada
Click "Problems?"
this happened to me when I switched a Rom before. not sure of which Rom but I had to find my titanium backup folder and place it into what was considered the new root folder. like I said I cannot remember which Rom it was that I flashed but the root folder was the default folder for my files app. hope that helps.
You can also try installing the recommended busybox Titanium uses.
Just to let anybody else know, I had the same problem and I used the BusyBox from Ti backup instead. That fixed it. I tried rebooting and restarting the app, but it needed a newer/different version of BusyBox to get the job done. I'm using a myTouch 4G with the stock, rooted, ROM.
I just cleared data and cache and that fixed it!
Help,
Found similar topics but no real solution.
Was on Wolf v6s. Backed up all my apps. Went back to stock with SEUS, installed titanium restore and choose batch.
All my apps are greyed out! I can't manually restore them. it just says: What would you like to do? and no buttons to click. They are stored on SD/titaniumbackup
No problems restoring my messages, wifi connections, ...
Please don't tell me that it's lost cause I really need them.
What titanium version do you have? Pro or root? If you have pro can you try root.
If thats not working then go
Settings>Applications>Titanium Backup>and select clear data or cache
If thats still not working, uninstall then install again.

I just have root. Clear cache didn't do anything cause I had to reinstall titanium after full wipe.
Reinstalling also didn't do a thing, cause i just installed it after wipe.
I'm still hoping
Use root explorer or astro file manager. Go to sd files, open titanium folder, and either install from there or cut and paste to data/apps then reboot.

My epic 4g touch is rooted. I had downloaded titanium backup so I could remove the original swype that's on my phone. In which I did. I had downloaded a different swype theme apk but when I go to install it, it asks to replace the existing which there isn't one. I still try to install it but it says it can't install. Anyone have any ideas? Is there something else I still need to remove?
When you uninstall swype through titanium backup you need to reboot the phone then install the apk. If that doesn't work you have to push it through adb or root explorer.
I am using Criskelo rom v6.0.1.
Everything works fine and also I am able to install hd games such as nova.
The issue is only titanium backup gives error of insufficient space.
It does not install at all.
Please help me.
Open ROOT EXPLORER
goto DATA>APP
Find com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup.ODEX
Delete and reinstall Titanium Backup...
