I've been trying now for more then a week and I fixed the sms and bluetooth bugs from my multi touch... but since the new method of flashing roms I can't get any of my cooked roms to sync with activesync.... so if I can't get any help or directions soon I'll drop prophet totaly
I have a Kaiser and I'm giving my girlfriend a Touch Dual for christmas so I have no need for more Prophet roms...
so it's a cry for help or my roms are history
same problem to me.cook with the new nb,all provxml files are not executed when hard reset,so the security policy is strict and cannot install any cabs or activesync

Hey man, it can't be related to the new upgrade method , am using Crystal 5 upgraded with the new method and i just got my Prophet synched.
am using Outlook 2003, Activesync 4.5, XP with the latest patchs and i have only Arabizer installed in my PDA nothing else.
Excuse me but i dont understand !?
Do Gullum mean that with new hardspl he can't cook anymore because of activesync ?

No what I mean is that my roms don't work and I don't know why
If it's not a reg problem or anything in the ROM , it's not a XIP problem ?

my guess is that is xip problem I will try using my old os.nb but then it will be regoniced as a wizard but if it works I know where the problem is and can maybe fix it
There are some cooks that succeeded, so I'm wondering why they can't help you out. I do understand however that now you don't use a Prophet yourself anymore, it is not so much fun anymore to cook for this device. People request, demand sometmes, but you don't benefit yourself.
But, on the other hand, it is no shame to release your ROM the traditional way, is it? You will make a lot of people happy with the fixed multi-language version of your latest receipt.

+1 and I can help you in French to finish what is not translated, I've created some ROM in French, I've all elements (not all like soft how are not original or compressed) I'm with you !
It is the xip or the new os.nb that are causing my problems with active sync..
so I can now make roms that working but will be reconiced as wizard by some apps but this means I can continu working on the roms... and hopefully I'll figure out how to remove the mini os to get the extra storage

Gullum.. Maybe you can ask hma4 or cloudyfa for that.. They've made it.. Maybe they can help you..

I am a novice guy in this rom's world, I can't help you in your problem, but me ang other prophet guys are happy with your last rom's especially with multi language, and this is not with some more Mbs in the devices that I change to another rom. I flash my prophet because the language rom and the less bugs.
So, the flashmaker's run in two ways. One for the last and more bug software in other and usefull, stable and minor bugs. I'm shure that last roms make happy more people.
For last I think the way for the perfect rom is to converge the knowlage of last day out roms.

so in short what is the deal: indentification as pm300 screws active sync up, and wizzard identifications works with active sync?
screw identification as pm300 then, i can do without some programs... like camera plus...
and i can do everything with a english language...
so screw the languages aswell as long as there are more stable, faster and useable roms i'm happy...

It´s not my first time posting here, I´ve got a Magician too and hardly, i´ve been able to install new roms and customize (more or less) my htc...
But i´m having problems with mi nike... I just want to find an stable rom (in spanish if its possible) and customize it more or less like the last magician rom from cotulla with manilla 2d ??? (something similar to diamond original or touch 3g). In my travel trying to do it i found a rom in htcspain that more or less worked well, but finally it started to get problems getting halt ? (stoped, i hope its the wright word) , not working some of the functions, getting to hot, slowing...
So, maybe what I need is the official rom and just try to customize it ?? I´m trying to read everything (I have not written it without trying to learn by my own) but as you can see my english is not the best and i´m just starting in this world....
So, trying to resume, can anyone tell me how to do it ?? I mean, i´ve done the hard - spl (so mi nike is now free) and i have installed roms, so i need to know wich rom to install and how to customize it (in the magician i got a file that i just installed in my pda and it did it everything alone....)
Finally, I think that it´s absolutely necessary to thank everybody here, cause you all have a lot of patiente and dedicate a precious time to help "dumb" people like me, i saw it clearly during my magician experiment....

Finally done. I´ve found an spanish web which uses some material similar to yours but in spanish (maybe it´s your material translated, i don´t know) and my nike is working really really well.

The point is that I can Not be sure that I have the correct program (.Cab), I already did destroy 1 HD2 installation of Windows Mobile 6.5.
Furthermore, I could Not find any download in which the specs are telling me if it is a Bleutooth version or Not.
I was hoping for a direct link which leads me to the correct program, this instead of taking any risks again.

well...
I can't understand how you can brick a phone installing TomTom. As nothing is putted in registry or in windows folder...
This means that after each of my hardreset, I can launch tomtom without reinstalling it.
By the way, not all version of tomtom are supporting the bluetooth. As far as I know :
version 7.917.9186 has two choices, with or without bluetooth handling.
version 7.918.9193 supports bluetooth
so, try a search with those versions.
And sorry, I will not post direct links, because TomTom leads several checks on several forums to track down such links.

Thanks a lot, Searching on the release number will help me to determine that I have the correct version.
The Version with Bleutooth did overwrite the "BTtrayCE" in the Windows directory, this did cause Bleutooth to stop working.
Thats why I do Not want to take the risks of getting any other surprises from Tom Tom

The HTC HD2 gives a reply "this program is Not compatible with your device" (in my case in Dutch). When replying with an "OK" than it stops installing

so take a version for windows mobile... not for smartphone.
tested on winmo 6.1 and 6.5 and it's ok...
The 7.918.9193 vga black works very well with HD2

Sorry for asking again your help !
I have now a working TT 7.9 installation, but installing the Maps is apparantly different than the older versions.
I do Not know which map is compatible with the ttn7.917.9186_qvga Version. (I could not find a WVGA version). At present TT replies at start up with the message that it can Not find the maps. As I did before, I did hack the "Meta" file, so I would expect it to work !

I did install ttn7.917.9186_qvga_blue, it seems to work fine now on the HD2.
But the next step installing the Maps is an other story.
The problem starts with : which map is compatable ?? (Western and central Europe)
And How to activate the Maps ?

I have version 7.918.9193 vga black with map western and central europe 2GB 860.3128 and it works just fine.
To activate the map it is another issue that I believe I cannot discuss here, if you know what I mean.

from "RUU_Mega_Orange_RO_1.37.70.1" and "RUU_Mega_hTC_Asia_SEA_WWE_1.37.728.3".
Radio version is also the latest.
Build is 21916, which is the most reliable, fast and bug free release.
ROM was created for personal use, since I couldn't find any other simple Greek ROM, and doesn't have any other improvements beacause I'm still a newbie!!
It's been running for two days now on my phone and I haven't found any bugs.
Any feedback and suggestions are always welcome!!

You should have a gmail account and synchronizing it with your phone, through ActiveSync. Then just follow the instructions here: google-calendar-eortologio!!!

I have the same question. I want to translate and cook my ROM. I have the original WWE dumped. I could use some Help. Generaly I am looking for the easiest way of translating a ROM.

Dear Helleenes friends,
found the solution in this program: GREEK LENG FOR WINDOWS MOBILE POCKET PC
it's not so expensive ($49,95), Greek MIO's service demanded 60 Euros to install the Greek ROM.
Since I'm not allowed (yet) to attach an external link, make a Google search using:
Penreader Greek Language Support
and you'll find it. You can download it for a free trial, to see if it works with your device.
And the most important is that the program just translate the full menu,
in case you want to "return" to the English version all you have to do is to unistall it
By the way WORKS FINE with my MIO A702 !!!

Since you have your original rom already dumped you're gonna need one more rom, which is in GREEK and is for your device.
Them it's just a matter of opening both roms with osKitchen and copy paste the language files from one to the other.

Unstable ROM
I tried this ROM on my HTC Mega, and i was suprised in a bad way that this ROM created problems from the first moment. The problem went so far that my usb connenction with my PC disconnected and reconnected in intervals of seconds, so that a flashing back even almost bricked my pda.

First of all I should Thanks "sternas" for his great rom. It works like a charm
my first problem is about Jblend. in my original rom when I use jblend for running a program, there is a bar in bottom of screen that can be use as left & right softkeys. but in Artemis rom when running a program, the bar is disappearing, so I cant use soft keys. actualy should say that in artemis rom, Jblend runs programs in full screen mod.
the second problem is about stopwach program. before installing the arabizer program (MOBIDiv Arabware)for reading arabic's SMS, it worked great. but after installing the mentioned program, stoped watch stoped working and every time I want to run it, it give me an error that there isn't enough memmory to run the program.
I'll be thankfull if anybody can help me about these problems.

Thanks for your attention, but the problem is that my posts are under 10 so I can't post in that threat. so I asked it here. but nobody answered me.
actually I found the problem with the Jblend. It is beacause of a registery change that force program to run in full screen mode. (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JBlend\Full_Screen_Mode).
For the second problem I couldn't find any solution till now.

@mistieger pointed me to your problem and asked me kindly to see if I could be of any help to you!!
as far as I can see this, the problem is the arabizer program. Although Artemis is a multilanguage ROM, it does not support Arabic, thus there might be an incompatibility between the arabizer and the stopwatch program. The only way to find this out is to deinstall arabizer, perform a soft reset and see if stopwatch is working again. If it works, it's up to you to decide what's more important for you: the arabizer program or the stopwatch.
Is it possible for you now to answer in Artemis thread? Otherwise use PM to answer.

you're very welcome my friend!! Regarding Arabizer and Stopwatch/Tip Calculator, I'm afraid there is no solution AFAIK for. Although Artemis is a multilanguage ROM, it does not support Arabic language, therefore there will be some incompatibilities between Arabizer and Artemis.
So, again: it's up to you to decide what's more important for you: the arabizer program or the stopwatch/tip calculator.
BTW, to be absolutely sure that there is no or a possible solution for your problem: send Sir Sternas himself a PM with your problems. Maybe he knows a solution (or not).

when my memory serves me well, these two programs are two of the latest applications developed by Sir Sternas himself for his new ROM. I cannot recall if they were already present in V65 (simply because I do not use them), but certainly in V66. Maybe the problems of these two apps with Arabizer is caused by this fact.
