99 Celsius or Fahrenheit?
It would be logial that its in Fahrenheit. 99F = 37C so thats normal. I would be worried if it was around 50C
Here in Brazil we use celsius and he didn't specify what type of measurement was talking about ...
Sorry for the joke,if it offended you.
No it is not to hot, its in normal use a normal temperature, no worries

I got my phone running at 49 Celsius (120 Farenheit), after using it as a GPS-Navigation for about 1 1/2 hours (I was using Google Maps Navigation).
I noticed it really hot when I grabbed it, and that's when I checked and it said it was 49 Celcius. After I turned the navigation off, it went down, but I was concerned that it got that hot.
What can be considered a harmful temp for this phone? I read somewhere that if the phone reaches 50 Celcius it would just turn off... is that true?

So what is the range of temperature consider as normal temperature?
I use OS monitor or via *#*#4636#*#* menu and it show 46 C degree for a long time, even though my phone doesn't feel hot.
I'm a bit concern of it...

I noticed my phone gets a little warm when surfing the web and stuff of that sort. Usually it seems to be around 95-98 degrees. This is normal correct? Just making sure.

yea that's normal. Mine hits 111 degrees when charging. No problems.

120.2°F hot for a charging phone?? Its burnns.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
120°F degrees is unusually hot. I get up to 105°F while charging and that's on a hot ~95°F day.
Check your task manager to see if there's anything using CPU. That kind of heat can also be caused if you're using data to download stuff while charging.

Never overclock befor.. idk..bit cooled down to 71°F now..

Mine gets very hot, I've seen 120°F and higher, when using it while charging. If left alone, it does not heat up.
After 10mins playing time on my xperia S. My phone seems to be heating, superhot. Is this normal?

Yeah. Since upgrading to ICS my XpS always seems to be around 25-28 degree in ideal and after playing a while it goes like 40 + degree. I once notice after playing tample run for about 20 mins or so it went up to 46 degree lol. Dont know whats that all about. Before it used to stay around 22-25 while in ideal.

How to I check my phone or battery's temperature? Is there an app or option for this?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Plenty of app's.
Whats too hot? Mines at 101 degrees right now but im under heavy usage at the moment.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Well i dont know the thermal threshold on the chip, but I'd say anything above 105ish is pushing it.

System tuner has CPU temps available. 101 celcius is do-able for very short periods of time.. My device scales CPU speed at 80 celcius.

134 degrees? That's pretty hot!
Yeah I actually woke up to that, I felt it so hot on my arm lol, I had a battery too hot charging paused notification(it said something like that I was half asleep) , before I even thought to look at the temp and take a screen shot it was cooling down, so it was definitely a lot hotter than that lol.. I'm Gunna try and catch it right away next time...

So bug? Bad hardware? Different charge cable?
This ppst is worrysome. I just dropped 550 on a note 2 and waiting for it to get here. I am a heavy gamer, that is why I choose this phone. For the raw power.

Are you serious? Please define heavy usage.
I barely last about 3 - 4 hours with my "heavy usage "

Well, that pretty heavy usage...
I can do that intentionally by repeatedly backup restore system in recovery, 3d game with all Wi-Fi, GPS, BT, highest brightness...etc
But my daily usage costs me about 250% of battery as I have 3 battery with me...

Ah well overclocked so it uses more battery. Playing games while listening to internet radio on 3g takes a large toll on batteries.. just bought a portable charger to compensate for it
As for the original post, I take it you left it overnight, or haven't used it much for a good few hours. 10-20% drain is normal for a 8hr standby, unless you have battery draining apps (most IM apps, google now, gmapps etc)

One method is to navigate using a file explorer to /system/app and delete apks you don't want. Not the stock one. Use astro or es file explorer. Titanium backup is a very useful tool for backing up apps and app data. Can also be used to uninstall system apps. Both methods require root permission.
As for which apps you can delete, search for safe apps to delete on xda or google and you should come across a thread.
