I been playing epsxe on my pc but would I be able to copy the save states I have on my epsxe emulator on my pc to the psx app on my vibrant so I do not have to start all over again .
Just try it, nothing will go wrong if it doesn't work.
psx4droid supports the save files from ePSXe. You can even rip your PS3 virtual saves off your PS3 and convert them to use on your phone. The only thing is you cannot convert them BACK to the PS3 format easily, unless you have a PSP handy. You can either copy over your ePSXe memory card file into the .psx4droid folder, or if you have multiple gamesaves and you would like to put them all onto one memory card, use the utility below.
I know others have discussed this, but I was wondering if anyone can help. The game won't play because of the intro.mp4 file. It appears too high of a resolution. If you convert the file to say 720x400 the file will play but the game will notice the size being incorrect and re-download. I was able to create an empty file with the same bytes and drop it in the folder. Now this file was not a playable video file however the game did not try to download the changed file this time.
Conclusion, if someone knows how to create an intro.mp4 file that will play on the nook and that is exactly 30,624,735 bytes; in theory it should allow the game to play. I have tried a handful of different utilities and can't seem to accomplish this.
The same thing happens with Dungeon Hunter and Asphalt 5. I, too was able to successfully convert the videos in a size/format that the NC liked. The games detect their not the original and replace them with the non playable video. I gave up because I wanted to play the games instead but I'd be grateful to any one smarter than me that figures this out.

What version of the game are you tryin to run? motorola, htc, whatever. I did try a version that ran the intro mp4 fine but the game hung afterwards during the loading process.
Haha so I've had to use this site back in the day to get extensions on a couple papers... you can enter a file size and extension, so maybe it would work? At work so can't test it out but hope it works. It's called "File Destructor 2.0" it doesn't look like .mp4 is one of the extensions you can pick, but I can't imagine it wouldn't work, worst case I'd think you could pick like .avi and just rename it, but I don't think it should matter at all.

Well no go. Got the video to play then it just ends. I was able to convert the file with HandBrake, then used fsutil to create a dummy file to make up the rest of my size. Then appended the padding to the end of the video with copy from a dos prompt.
Tried this same thing Spider-Man and now my logo plays at the first of the game. Kind of nice not having that box popup.
If anyone really wants or needs all the steps I can post that.
When I launch dungeon hunter it tries to play the video but I get a pop up that says the video cannot play. I click ok and the game runs fine after that...

True. However, the point of this thread is to actually see the video / not have to press that Ok button.
BTW, how do you "click" on a a touchscreen? LOL

and were you able to play the game? are you on 1.1?
So, did anyone get Let's Golf 2 working and actually play it? I've tried the Galaxy Tab version, then it crashes back to the launcher almost immediately after downloading the required files...

Yes Spider-Man plays just fine. I'm on 1.1.0.
I actually managed to get let's golf 2 video to play once, but then crashed )I think it was played with rock player) - version for galaxy tab. Spider Man says the video cannot be played and moves on to loading the game, every single time. With Sandstorm however, it's a hit and miss - sometimes it loads, sometimes goes back to the launcher.

It's the version for the Galaxy Tab 3.0.8 I believe.
Just tried a new version v3.1.6 and same thing happens... downloads the files just fine, then can't play video, then crashes to the back to the home screen.
Anyone have any success?
fixed my problem with spiderman game
followed instructions in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955847
to replace the framework.jar with a hacked one, and now the games works fine, probably this will also fix crashes on other gameloft games

excellent, u.b.d.man...
Hi Guys
I have a Rooted Xperia Play 3.0.1.a.145.
I have ripped a few PSX images (.bin/.cue) of games like FF8 , re2 and dino crisis 2.
In the wiki these games are supported by fpse and was hoping to get them working.
i have the scph1001.bin bios file on the sd card and have loaded it within fpse systems section.
i have also enabled spu sound and disabled HLE.
When i try loading any of these 3 games i just get a black screen and the game does not load and i end up pressing the menu button and quit out of fpse after a few minutes of wait.
Can someone tell me if i am ripping the games wrong? i am using imgburn and games are 2345bytes/sector.
Am i suppost to be using any other program after imgburn to shrink the screen size?
Any help will be appreciated. Im a N00b to Android phones.
Regards
Manny
ive been looking for answers on this all morning, thought it was the versions i downloaded at first, so i just bought the most current for 5 bucks. still, terrible sound with FF7, no sound with FF8, and i cant configure my X button on the controller. im getting very frustrated with this myself.
I'm having this same issue
I can't map the X button either and it's driving me crazy.
Howdy y'all. This isn't really a device-specific question, but I have it on the Nook Tablet, so hopefully that's good enough to keep it here.
I've got FPSE running Final Fantasy VII on my NT, and I had a question of anyone who's played this game on this emulator before, even if on another device: How do I "switch discs" when it comes time to do so?
Thanks!
There is no built in switch disk option with that emulator? Does it let you save right when you need to change a disk? If it does, you might be able to just load the save file and start on the second disk and continue from there.
I'm certain when you reach the end of a disc it automatically takes you to the save screen, then you load the save with the next disc. Just curious, how does the music for FF7 sound on your nook, mine sounds choppy.
Sadly the sound is pretty lousy. Damn shame as the soundtrack was so epic.

I found this on another post here. Try installing psx4droid v2 1.1.2
I couldn't get psx4droid to work until I tried that version. The FF7 soundtrack sounds how it should but at the moment that game is slightly sluggish so I'm trying to find the right settings.
do you have a link for psx4droid apk?
thanks!

I can't post links yet but if you google psx4droid v2 1.1.2 mediafire should be the top page and that's where I got it.
So I have fpse and I have the BIOS. For some reason i can not seem to find games that work. I read all these reviews of people liking and using fpse but where are the games coming from. I have tried getting games via torrent (of course I only download games that I already own so it is all legal and what not ) but when I get from torrent it never seems to be just an .ISO it seems to be multiple files with .cue and .bin and stuff and I don't know if it should be zipped or unzipped. Or even if I find an ISO it does not seem to be liked by fpse.
I can't make .ISO from my actual PlayStation CD s because my CD drive is broken on my computer. So given that I am only trying to get games that i legally own can someone tell me where people are getting good roms that work with fpse?
Any help appreciated thanks.

FPse can play many more formats than just ISO. Place both the cue and bin files in a folder (by themselves) on your sdcard. You many want to name that folder by the name of the game.
