thanks loved your rom by the way
now if i can get your battery icon and the web broswer that your rom has that actually redirects to my schools login page (eugenes roms wont) and your boot up screen with the "execute" intro on the frankin-twiz than i would have my daily driver lol

Bionix1.2 , seems to be the best for me.

I tried a lot too, and I noticed I liked FrankinTwiz. It's better than the rest.

CM6: Some questions

Hi,
I am currently using CM6 official night build for Hero and I got some questions, if someone's kind enough to answer it
* Why is JIT not enabled by default ? I thought Android 2.2 had JIT stable, why is it not the case in CM6 night build ?
* Will there be a way to {over|under}clock directly in the kernel like the last 2.1 roms are doing, not by using the overclock widget that register on hooks and is much slower to switch frequencies ?
* ADW.Launcher is the default home, why isn't it linked to the market, like the GMap app is (it can be updated but not removed) ? We can install the market ADW.Launcher app but it is not the same app (the settings menu is not at the same place and the previous settings menu still appears in the phone's settings).
* In the Rom Manager app, it is said that I should install the ClockworkMod recovery to use the app. What is it ? Is it as crazy as Kubrick ? Seriously, I am currently using RA-hero-v1.6.2, what is this ClockworkMod, is it better ? Should I install it ?
* I saw that there was a way to skin CM5, changing, for example the color and image of the notification bar, Skins were installable directly with a barcode. Is there such a way in CM6 ?
I hope these are not (too) noob questions, thank you for answering anyway
Seriously, you used the word yourself. You really think development is the area for questions? Next time post in the Q&A section, the hint is in the name... (reported)

Appologies, I didn't pay attention, my bad.
Could a mod move it to the right forum ?
Thread moved to Q&A.
Up ?
Nobody to answer those questions ?
I would suggest posting on their forums as the devs probably don't regularly check XDA.

[Q] Any issues in my remove list

I've looked through numerous threads, but the opinions are pretty mixed.
Does anyone predict issues with removing any of these apps?
I will not be using Sense.
I'm making a flashable zip to remove these so I don't need to manually do it every time I flash a new ROM.

Yeah, I know. Kind of expecting that.
But, I have used search, I have frozen them (had other errors from nightly, so hard to narrow down), but I just want to see if anyone else has had problems before I write the rest of the script.

He means that it should have been in the Q&A section, not the dev section. So now that we have that clear, if you're not using a sense rom, those things shouldn't be in there in the first place. If you are using a sense based rom, removing anything that says htc in it could cause problems.

Dammit, too many xda tabs. Can I get a mod to move it for me?
Eh, wrong section, but by now, you already know that. Try to post in the right section next time.
Anyways, you'll be fine with that list, just be advised that if you remove the lockscreens and their idlebases, you'll lose Incoming Caller ID. You'll need to unlock before answering each time.
Also, if you're going to debloat, you might as well remove Burgandy and Blue Sky, as well as the Streak Wallpaper and the Live Weather Wallpaper. Both are ultimately useless, the streak wallpaper isn't exactly dramatic, and the weather live wallpaper (2 apks) are also useless and all you have to do is look at the weather app to see them. Those two apks combined are massive in comparison to the rest.
Might as well add "MyReportAgent.apk" to the mix.
Thanks....

Good to know.....thank you much. There's a lot of stuff on that list that I was hesitant to remove not knowing if there would be hiccups later.

Nice list. Thanks for putting together and posting.

Cannot change lockscreen picture after update?

Here we go:
I can't change my lockscreen wallpaper after todays ICS update. I've tried various things (deleted the original picture from the gallery, but it's still there).
I CAN change my home wallpaper.
I CAN open gallery normally.
Anyone? Ideas?

Apart from the fact this is in the wrong forum - I had the same problem.
A wipe fixed it, but no doubt there is a better solution.

Jelly Bean Notification on the Lockscreen

Hello, I've got a HTC One S since few weeks ('got a MotoDefy before) and i'm really disappointed about the jellybean lockscreen :-/
It's really annoying to have to slide the notifications , on iPhone you just have to wake the screen to have a look on all your notifications (and i'm not even talking about the fact that the screen didn't switch on when you receive an email or sms on JB)
I'm using for now Widget Locker with Executive Assistant but there is a lot of things that's going wrong....
SO, is there a way to have the notification screen instead of the lockscreen...?
Or is somebody thingking about doing something similar? I think it would be a great feature for customs roms!
I've made an example but can't post external link :-/

Sorry, I was thinking that this thread was the best to post my question :good:
Ok, seems not so popular my idea :-/
If I'm not mistaken, HTC Sense has the ability to add notifications on the lockscreen. Never owned one before but I think I saw a review with that feature.
Also, the little icons in the status bar do tell you notifications already, and any more info would be somewhat...uh no word comes to mind lol but people could see who called or texted you and some of what they said, which bugs a lot of people.

I'm using CM10 on my HTC One S... So no more Sense on it!
And i don't really like Sense, it's ugly compared to stock JB... :-/
That's amazing that on stock Android (v4.1 !) the screen isn't powered on when a notification is coming!
And that we've got to power on the screen + slide the notifications to know what's happening!
That's not really effective to my mind...

No matter where we post but the result is that no body answers the question. Here peoples come and say wrong section and in Q&A section no body answers and i'd already asked that question but no answer.Sorry for bad english.
Thread has been moved to Q&A. I know it can be frustrating to not get answers, but we have sub-forums for a reason. It helps keep the information and topics more organized and easier to find when people are looking or searching for something specific.
@OP:
Look in the Google Playstore for an app named "One More Clock Widget". There is a free version available and one of the included widgets is that 3 ring clock widget just like Motorola. I have used it before in the past and it works very well.
