Is there someone who's got the stock recovery for 6267 unlocked streaks? if i understand correctly the only way to flash the next rom after i update with the 02 2.1 is to revert back to the original recovery? does this file exist?
kinda new to android and i'm really not sure of what i'm doing, don't wanna end up bricking my streak or getting stuck with the 02 branded 2.1 forever...

can i upgrade my hero to 2.1 which is gonna release on april?
Are there any steps to do that or just download that file from htc site and run it?
I think that should work fine, but it will not be rooted anymore i guess?
from what i gather you'll irreversibly lose your root access if you upgrade to the official one. Something about improved security. Wait a bit and the rooted version of the stock rom would pop up somewhere.
do i need to create any goldcard to upgrade?
or goldcard process is only used to downgrade from custom rom to 1.6 official version?
Has anyone been able to restore the stock US 1.6 including the return to baseband 31? I've found out how to return to the stock ROM but not the stock baseband, which we might need for the OTA Froyo update. Thanks!

Can you share the link for the solution you found? I'm sure it'll come up again when Dell gets around to pushing their own USA official 2.2 release, but I'd rather have it handy just in case.

However, i'm unable to find anything on how to. Most guides say to use a default original recovery ROM or stock ROM from Dell. But I can't find such ROM or anything from Dell nor 02
How can I get the phone back to 1.6?

Have a look in the streak sticky at Android Development
there are quite a few guides there on how to go back to 1.6
Just wondering why you want to go back wards why not go forwarders to 2.2
So what exactly are the risks of flashing? And what are the benefits beside getting updates?
Is there a way to return to original if everything screws up??
(I mean if i flash to another rom, would i still be able to use the back up created by zune previously?)
How do you extract your own rom for back up??

I have SIM unlocked the phone using dellstreakunlock.exe successfully.
When I try to upgrade via settings>about phone>system updates I get directed to a dead link - update.zinstaging.com
!) CAN I upgrade this firmware to a standard Dell Froyo 2.2 ROM ?
2) If so can someone please post the link I would need to put into my streak's browser?

Thank you for the link ... however, on advice I attempted a manual upgrade from the Streak by entering the OTA link into my browser ...
I now have a bricked Streak.
I have attempted recovery techniques from Modaco, but the Streak only shows the Dell Logo and after a few seconds a blank black screen with just the buttons lit.
Can I upgrade to another 21 pkg from this situation? Would it be better to downgrade to an earlier 21 pkg from the Wiki page?
My question is ... do I need to download the recovery software or the pkg? Upgrade or downgrade?
Sorted ... flashed 1.6 recovery image using flashboot which got me going again, and once working the auto update process started leaving me with a fully operational streak running 2.2.2
