My hd2 got crazy - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't know what happened,my device got crazy,it starts jumping from home screen to calender to fp to opera weather and back with no order, then asks to restart the device, and then restart by itself, what happened?what should i do?plz tell me and help me....

If this is a continuous cycle, I’d just turn it off and hard reset the manual way (http://www.htc.com/europe/howto.aspx?p_id=297&id=182).
Other than that I’m not sure how that would be resolved. Hope this helps mate.

Quick GPS, downloading 100% connection failed try again later. Possible solution.

Start-> Settings->Phone-> Services tab. Select Location setting touch Get settings in the Phone: Location Setting the radial button option should be set to ON.
I was searching for a solution myself because after a hard reset my quick gps had this problem. I kept getting in my search results trying to remedy the supposed problem, i needed a cab download to fix it or registry tweak it, to get it going again. I re-stumbled on this again when i was playing with my phone and fixed, well cant say I fixed it cause it was never broken just had to switch that option to ON. Saved me from installing things that i didnt need or tweaking registry.
Also when i was doing my search for solutions this one was never brought up. Hopefully this helps some of you out there.
Thanks a lot.... I was wondering why I kept getting that error

Can't answer calls....Please Help

Hey guys I searched, but couldn't find anyone with the same issue, so hopefully someone could help me. My touch pro is Sprint (Don't know if it makes a difference), but I can not answer any of my calls being hardware buttons or screen, nothing works. I've been using s2u2 and never had a problem, but I uninstalled it thinking there may have been an issue, but no, still happening. Sometimes if i hit either the hardware or software key a bunch of time it will answer, but only like every 1 out of every 10 times. Also I've been calling myself to check and the call will only come through 1 out of 10 times. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Can't Answer Calls
Before you do a hard reset, I recommend that you read this thread on ppcgeeks http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=40427 , it took a a couple of weeks to figure this out, but it worked for me.
Good Luck.

Are you using CHT lockscreen? Just use the standard one and it should be alright.

Ditto ...
Not sure how many times this needs to be said ...
But going to join you in saying it again ...
Like i said, i done a hard reset and the problem still exist, which means that the problem does not lies on CHT.
btw i am not using CHT, this video that i posted is just for reference of my problem. (which the phone does not go into standby mode and need activesync in order for it to enter standby mode) the lockscreen that i am using is the orginal HD2 lockscreen.
Same Problem
I'm having the exact same problem with my hd2. I've tried the following things to resolve it:
- Soft reset
- Hard reset
- Task 29 reset
- Formatting my sd card
- Using Artemis and Chuckyrom, both same problems
I'm going to try a stock rom now and look if that works.
Are there more people having this problem? any solutions? Tx!
EDIT: I've installed the stock rom and replaced HSPL with SPL. I'm still having the same problem. I'm going to send it to the manufacturer. Good Luck!
Would you be so kind to come back with the result ? This is a very confusing problem. There are lots of people suffering from this already !
solved
i two have had this problem and have just found out how to sort it out. basically i tried everything new radio, rom, getting rid of CHT
and in the end all it was is the usb connection!!!!
all you have to do when unplugging your usb cable is make it come out on a angle left to right. there are obviously some very delicate contacts that get knocked out of kilter making the phone think its still on mains power when its not hence never turning off
you can confirm this error by unplugging your phone going into backlight settings and seeing if you can adjust you light setting on battery power if when you adjust your light setting nothing happens you got the same prob as me

I understand, but as far as i know noone can help you, so something had to be done to make the things funnier ^^
I don't have this problem and the problem is only on 101. By setting the brightness in auto mode or higher may solve the problem.

I recieved word from ARCHOS support today:
Re: [Ticket#201174289] Support request: ARCHOS 70 internet tablet - 8 GB
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we have heard of others with this
issue. We will be sure to pass this information along to our software engineers
and hope to have this corrected in the next firmware release.
Thank you,

Hopefully this means that they will fix the boot issue and the sleep issue.
I was getting this issue even before updating so, nothing has changed on my end.

[Q] Auto Reboot on any rom

Hi everyone...
Some days ago, i was trying, OmniROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544790). I follow all the steps and even get the superSU app going. One night, y saw how my nightly got updated, and in the morning, start to reboot randomly. If I push the power botton sometimes, doesn´t appear the blockscreen but the screen with the reboot option and turn off appear...
I put my cellphone back to stock with root using SuperOneClick from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311081. Then, I format my sd card and internal storage...The problem persist...
I would like that someone help me, I'm tryin everything and didn't solve it...
Based on your description, it sounds like a hardware issue -more specifically, a failing power button.
I have read that some users were able to fix the issue by disassembling the phone and spraying out the switch with contact cleaner, and I have read that others had the power switch replaced altogether.
Hopefully others will chime-in with their thoughts.

I had to replace my power button. this is a known issue with the s2.
I recommend this guy's services: http://stores.ebay.com/t989-refurb -- he can do the i777 even though it's not listed. He's a very nice guy and will do a fine job.
here's his video demonstration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0xMMn1DRWs
