So I made these for my tattoo because I didn't really like the look of the slider tabs, and thought I'd share them. I changed the unlock icon to blue and the silent to red and vibrate I left orange. I think it looks okay, but would probably be better with new buttons altogether. Here is a screenshot so you can see for yourself what it looks like:

To install you'll have to pull your current framework-res.apk, rewrite the files in drawable mdpi then push it back.
Is it possible that u help us rewrite the file, and zip it up? so that all we do is just push it in, thanks.
if what you mean is that i just give you a framework-res.apk with the changes made i can do that but my framework-res.apk is different from yours and it could cause unwanted changes or errors. if you want a default everything else but just the transparent sliders then let me know i can make that for you.
But what version of android did u installed? Why is ur .apk different?
im running 2.2 SPQ Rom... i dont know if that makes a difference but if you stlil want my framework-res.apk let me know.
Transparent unlock
I am not understand you, u mean replaced the all file into framework-res.apk..??
Help me step by step please.

I know that another similar thread is already opened, but this has a "WP7" style ( I love this one)... hope you don't mind my doing... and for those who do, SRY!!
Tips:
-To change the icons I used "JWMD Icon Changer" THANKS to Nullstring: here
-For icons, THANKS to younxta: here
-Or can copy those modified by me (wich are white and without circle..in my opinion are more appropriate to WP7 themes )
If you need other icons attach them here and I'll see what can I do

just install .cab in your device and restart it...it should work after...
If it doesn't, try to install StartMenu_4.cab from here and after that install my cab (I had this installed before starting to develop my own cab and maby that's the problem)
Question
has anybody else had problems installing it?:-?
New!!!
Added new white icons!!!
awesome. And will it work for WM6.5 standard? No one does development for smartphones really Y_Y
I was wondering.... after trying to edit about all the images in the contacts.apk i cannot find where the drop down/expanded background image for the call log is at? or maybe there is a seperate .xml edit needed to make it transparent.
the part I want to alter is in the red box, tryin to make it look like whats in the green box as far as the background transparency. this is the expanded contacts in the call log.
I have no idea where to look now.
would really appreciate your help .. thanks.

ok guys... I am still not having any luck with finding where this image is or if its an XML edit .. or both.
I have seen Themes here that have what I am looking for. So I know it can be done and someone has to know the answer.
I have messaged about all the themers here with absolutely no response from about 3/4 of them. The one did respond thought it was in the framework folder .. well I have edited about all the dark images and nothing. Unless i just completely missed it somehow....
I am really wanting to continue to move forward with this and maybe release it along with my other icons and transparent stuff .. but not in its current state as it is and lack of help with where stuff is from time to time.
IF ANYONE has ideas or knows where it is I would really appreciate it.

Are you referring to the tab's background or the image?
The backgrounds for the tabs should be located in twframework-res.apk but that will change all tabs in all programs. you should find them in /res/drawable-hdpi naming should be tw_tab.... these are .9.png files so you will have to use the draw9patch utility if you want them to look right after modifiying them.
the image/icons will be located in the Contacts.apk in the folder /res/drawable-hdpi-finger named as phonebook_tab....
hope this helps
(btw i love the way you ask for help makes it really clear what you are talking a bout )
I still can't get rid of the little red line....what file is that? And the background of the unselected tabs.....can't figure it out.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
i have a fascinate but im sure its the same thing...in the pic below i point out what the line is when its to the right (tab_selected_bar_right.9.png) and if say "call log, contacts, or favorites" were selected then you would also have a line to the left which would be tab_selected_bar_left.9.png
some other apks call on twframework-res.apk for their tabs (individual contacts within the contacts.apk does for us) so you would have to edit tw_tab_blah blah blah
Can anyone help me??? I have been trying file after file and I cannot edit the background of the bar that says tmobile??? Any clues as to which file this is?

It's called either "quick_panel_notifications_bg.9" or "quick_panel_notifications_bg" and it is in the "drawable-hdpi folder" in the "twframwork apk"
I think its statusbarbackground01.9png.ill post if that's not it.at work and will check as soon as I get home .I just got into a bit of themeing myself. I know a little so just pm me and ill be happy to help if I can help
Status_bar_header_background_01.png
im sorry i didnt read the post correctly the first time so you can ignore the above.i make it transparent to get rid of it and im sure you can change the color by adjusting the hue and saturation in paint.net or adobe.if you use paint.net you can go to the bottom right and look for opacity or something close to that.that is the transparency adjustment if you didnt already know.its so easy just using winrar to move the images around.thats what ive found to be extremely easy.i definitly need to learn the correct way but that works for now.good luck my friend
I see the background image your talking about is already transparent. If you wanted to change it you can use the paint bucket and dump some on it then you'll be in a good position to manipulate the image to the way you want it
hi, can anyone tell me how I can change background color from transparency too solid black? ( I'm using cm10.2 )

yes.
1. decompile systmUI apk (use ur roms framework else systemui fails )
2. go to res/drawable-mdpi, 'notification_panel_bg.9' is the file u have to change, but remember, t dont break the .9 pixels
3. recompile. & push back dun
---> also i attached u allready edited file, so u have only to decompile/replace file/recompile :good:
and bro i saw u also asking about statbar transparency few time ago: u can change it here \systemui\res\values\dfrawables.xml
peace & greetings to poland (i'm there from)
thanks, it is working, thread can be closed
