I go in a few days to Iceland i have BT GPS reciver and tomtom5 on my wizard!
I search around the web and i didnt find a Iceland Map
Hope some one of you have a clue were i can i find a map for Iceland and tomtom. I only find a free topic Iceland map but i dont have any skills with topic maps... and i drive around by myself there, must not a perfect map only to know where i am......

The TomTom 5.2 runs on my HTC S740 but i can not enable the GPS
Receiver,
only Bluetooth Receiver are selectable...not the build in GPS Receiver.
any solution?

You might need to try the Microsoft GPS Intermediary Driver configuration.

Are you sure it doesn't work on the S740? So you installed it and tried it?
Try posting on the Modaco thread I posted if you don't get much response here. I think it should work on the S740.
In short, without this utility installed and working there's no other way for TomTom to know about the internal GPS. This utility is supposed to help TomTom connect to the internal GPS.
Someone gave it a try, see post, and it didn't work.
Any news on making TT5.2 detect the internal GPS?

Work perfectly
Only problem is the key mapping , no delete button

I only got the phone yesterday , So it is still standard .I run the quickgps app , then installed TT , and used My Mobiler to set the TomTom settings as you need a touoch screen to change the settings .

Werner, you probably aren't using TT 5.2, cuz for that one you don't need a touch screen (the Rose hasn't).
But Schiefersoft, you can use the newer TTN versions (6 or even 7) also on your Rose, in addition you need an application that puts a cursor on your non touchscreen that you can use to point. Google FakeCursor here or on the net and give it a try.
Big advantage is you can use the newer version 6 or 7 maps.
On my very old non touchscreen HTC StarTrek (aka Smartflip) i used TTN7 with FakeCursor.
Use the Garmin XT 5.0 Instead !!
Works for the Windows Smartphone and PPC !!
Works Like a Charm on the HTC Rose...
Other GPS Software is Route 66 version 8 or the IGO Version 8.
This should also work fine on the Htc Rose.

I'm looking for good gpd appz for my HTC s740 (btw this smartphone is awsome!) and I don't know anything about it. I downloaded many times GPS programs from the Internet like: TT, Garmin or IGO8. I couldn'y install it and that was for PDA... I'm not a Mobile Specialist and I've a big ask for you. Please, tell me what GPS program do you have on your s740 and please tell me how should I install it. Thank you for answer. Btw I use WM6.1.
Search is timesaver. Next time try first simple query "navigation". You'd find this immediately.

problems with Co-Pilot
Hi guys,
I think I need your help (for dummies lol)
My friend installed Co-Pilot 8 in my Wildlife,it worked great for a few days then stopped. Every time I turn it on it shows only the second of red introduction graphic then dies.
Any idea what I should do?

I think "Navigon" is the best app for gps... sure there are some bugs but maps and timeliness of reaction are blameless

I am using Dutty's latest 6.5 ROM. It is awesome fast, and great functionality.
One question.
I have a legit copy of mapsource Africa, and reinstalled Garmin Mobile XT.
For some or other reason, it just not seeing the map?
It says no map?
I have copied the map manually, and tried it automatically to storage:Garmin/ gmapsupp.img.
Has anyone gotten this? I tried 2 different SD cards, the map is unlocked. But the software is just not seeing the maps?
