I would have thought you would have had a free trial first to see how it goes but saying that will download later and thanks for you imput and work
Android Market lets you try for 24h before actually charging you money. Just get it and cancel the buy when not working. I didn't think of a trial because of that.

I just NEED this intent captured for further development.
I would be willing to capture it for you. I am unable to get last.fm to work with 2.2.
No clue how to do what you want done though so I might need a little tutorial.
Why bother using Android Music Player..Use Double Twist instead, works perfect with last.fm. Just saying.. ;-)

Hi guys im new to android so forgive my ignorance.
When looking at task manager there are 2 processes that i find suspect.
The first has no name and just has the android package icon.
The second is called log master, is this a text logger?
Im also wondering why some apps need access to the personal and phone areas of my device.
am i being paranoid?

If you can uninstall them then you probably installed them, if you try to uninstall and it's greyed out, it's probably a dell thing... I could be wrong.

Well... yes and no. I mean, an app shows what it has access to, so you can download them and know what the app has access to. If you download a tetric clone and it has access to everything... then I might be a little worried.

Games that have access to location is probably just a high-score system which tells you what country/city you're in.
Not sure about the phone though.
the blank one is the home app I think.
logmaster appears to be for debugging, like lots of the other dengineering stuff lazy Dell left in there..

Yeah, the choice of having a different background image for each home screen was nice but i think i'd miss live wallpapers
...unless you could have a different live wallpaper for each screen which would be awesome! (but very heavy on the battery!)

Try it, flash the 1.6 FW get root vi universal androot -get root explorer from the market, locate the launcher .apk on the system copy paste it to youre sd card
flash back to 2.1 FW and try install the .apk from your sd card
Cant say i have tried it, what i have done is delete the stock launcher [launcher2.apk] so i just use adw launcher as default

This Topic has nothing to do with upgrading so you have posted in the wrong thread my friend, The answer to your Question is in a lot of posts around here so a little light reading will serve you well.
And the Answer is NO dell has not updated to 2.1 yet only 02 you can upgrade using 02 but i would advise waiting for the dell release

Has anybody got this on their gt540 yet?
Ive been reading about spb shell for a while now but there still doesn't seem to be a release date set as its still in beta.
In the vid it says it doesn't work on all phone but has been tested on the samsung vibrant - check it out here

Hi, yeah i tried to test it too when i had Froyo 2.2.1 running but with no luck , i just reveiced a pop up message saying that my phone is not compatible ... but i will try to test it again on CM7 v1.5 2.3.3, i will let you know how it goes.

Yes has sence , this phone is not that powerfull for support this launcher
i dont think it to do with how powerfull it is i think the developers have made for a few handsets from low spec to high spec ones to get an idea of what needs done to support all handsets.

I finally got this running after alot of playing and boy does it eat battery,
Only problem now is I still have to reactivate it again after opening certain apps like the browser.
By the time that they fully release this many other launchers would have caught up and the device not supported message would be cracked for most phones so they wont get the asking price they deserve lol

What i did was choose it as the default launcher then rebooted and reactived it again,
I cant upload the apk's as there just over 8mb but you can google for them, theres 2 versions i found (full version) and (cracked version)
The "device not supported" message will always appear so just click ok
maybe someone with more knoledge than me can tweek it to work better but for me but if you dont mind having to reactive it again after you use a system app like the browser it fine

Is it any different? I.E. does it let you hide movies and books? From what I've read / seen, it looks the exact same as the latest official market.
Just in case this helps anyone else...
I installed this on the international version of Streakdroid 2.3 and a lot of apps still show as incompatible with my streak. Reverted back to the version that came in the rom and all is well.
The Layout of the blocks are a little different. I think I like this version a little better. Also I didn't see any option for hiding the books or movies
Aftet all the trouble I got throught to make the market work properly I think im gona pass at this one. Thanks anyway.

open google play and search facebook... you will get many facebook alternative there... :good:

I did a search with: facebook 1.9.7. Download the apk and installed it...it worked for me
