I recently bought htc tattoo and im total noob in android stuff so please dont laugh at me
I recently rooted my phone, installed cm6 rom, now tried sp-froyo 2.2. I read on these forums that theres difficult situation with themes for tattoo model so i layed down my arms for getting one. Anyway, today i installed this new rom sp-froyo 2.2, downloaded ADW launcher and went to market on my phone. I accidently saw few themes for adw launcher and decided to try one. I downloaded and installed adw elegant theme and it worked. the home screen and the launcher changed. I got confused a little bit tbh, cuz i thought that themes doesnt work for tattoo. Should i be worried that something wrong could happen ? Or something else ? Btw, phone seems to be a little bit laggy after i installed this theme.

Sry, I am too lazy for a full explanation, but with your Tattoo is all okay and normal. The Cm6 Themes are deeper on the system located as the ADW-Themes, so they don't work.

Hi there,
I have a HTC Hero obviously and I was just wondering if there was a ROM I could flash to it that's basically the vanilla Android ROM. I've been looking at some custom ones but I'm not sure which ones the best.
Basically, a ROM without HTC Sense (because I prefer the white status bar and the Android UI over the HTC one).

wow, what a **** ...
but hes right ... just an a$$hole about it ..
i use ezhero v5 .. its good ...
camera wont let you take time/date stamps off ..
other than that, its pretty good.... ezhero 4was better on battery, the other vanillas are the same really, just pick a name ... i chose ezhero soley on the boot screen, animation is cool ascii android ... and it boots with visuals like a computer, see memcheck and such ...
can find the ezhero in the dev. forums.
I thought the same (about preferring Android UI) but I missed a lot of the HTC apps, keyboard, etc..
Anyway, try aHero and CyanogenMod

Hi fellow X10 mini (pro) owners
We already know that there are problems with finding all apps and games, as most won't show in the market.
But now I want to install Launcher pro (which i found on their website) and it can't be installed.
Is there a way to change things to apps that they can be installed or is this a really a screen size problem for which it won't work?
Anybody els tried to install it?
It is only made for Android 2.1 and 2.2.
X10 is 1.6 (Donut).

Launcher pro works only on android 2.1 i have read on a site, thats way.....
then the update to 2.1 for the mini comes we can use launcher pro

I should have known, but I'm so used to having 2.1 on my HTC hero now that I forgot that there was an older android on some phones.

its free and you can download it on the market

I use Home++ beta which also works very good.
I recommend HelixLauncher Donut - works great
ADW and Helix works perfect.SlideScreen is interesting but need improve.
Well... Proclaiming that Helix Launcher works perfect is somewhat of an overstatement...
It brings two nice additions to the table:
1 - Several widgets on one screen (Allthough it is impossible to achieve good looks in doing this, since most widgets are not well adapted to the small screen)
2 - All apps on one long page in the drawer...
Everything else is equal or worse than the original SE homescreen. It is a little bit more laggy than the original (sometimes - definately not noticably smoother/faster at least), and you loose functionality like beeing able to uninstall app's easily (two-click operation on original) which you will be doing alot when playing around in the market...
If the 2.1 update from SE adds theme'ing, multiple widgets and the possibility of a one-page app drawer, then there will be no point in installing these third party home screens for any other reason than adding a little fiddle-around-effect.
But... Who needs a better reason anyway? Check them all out, that's what I say )
Just to let you know, I have x10 mini pro and it works like a charm! It actually made my phone just x100 time more beautiful and useful.

Since most of us have been moving to US Tmob and GB froyo, the blur launcher has been tweeked and made to work like a gem. It is really smooth and I do not find necessity to go to Launcher Pro.
Walter had previously put out a themed blur launcher like this one for his MS2 ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=743372
Unfortunately it cannot be used on these froyo builds. Can anyone please theme the stock launcher please?.
I tried many times on all froyo builds to make the themed launcher work but could not do so. Walter had given a zip file to install it from CWM but that kept bricking the phone and I had to use alternate launcher to keep the phone running and flash an sbf.
Can anyone do that pleaaase ?
Im with you on this one too. I actually like the original blur launcher but it would be nice if you could actually change the assignment of the right hand button to go to text messaging or setttings etc..
Wondering where walter is these days. He can help if he sees this.

Hi just liked to say what a great site this is it has helped my root my phone and install clockwork recovery on my streak. My ? is were do i get some decent themes for it ive looked @ the theme section but when i but them on my sd card and load c work mod it hangs for ages is there any tips u great people can give me and any advice what to put on my beast.

I use adw launcher and it has many themes in the market! Hope this helps also zedge has good wallpapers for the streak its a nice app
Me too have not seen any direct ready_to_install themes.
You have to go through the Launchers.

Pro Launcher​You install either of these and you can download themes for these from the market.
But, I think you need to buy them, to be able to theme and all other stuff (thats bit advanced, like settings, etc.)

have a look at the Screenshot thread (in theme and apps section)
and there people have written what they used/have_done to get the "theme".
It needs work to be done. not easy-peasy though.
But, the results are awesome!
I have been looking through the theme market and there isnt any that stand out to me. i saw on an HTC Desire Forum there was an MIUI theme called Android HD. I was wondering if 1. I could get that theme 2. Im on an older version of MIUI so could i get any themes besides the Theme Market. These may be dumb Questions but i am very new to this. my phone has only been rooted for about a week Thanks,
