I got trouble yesteday. There was a messege in notification, but I can't open it. When I press the notification it went into new messege edition page directely. if i clear it in notification it can come back when i read another messege.
What's the problem? How to resolve it.

Same with me, can' get rid of it. When I push CLEAR on notice bar it dissapears but then when new message arrives it's back..

Reinstall it with the backup you surely made before deleting a system app. Or search the net, wait for somebody to upload it, or flash your phone.

When I go to default SE massager (conversations.apk), and hit the "Settings" option from the menu I get a force close... No way I can get in to that settings, and I need them to disable the standard notifications.

Well I'm not sure, but I think I deleted some stock apk that I was just not using (ofc from system/app folder). The Conversation.apk is there obviously, but like I've said, settings in it - not reachable because of the force close.
It's hard for me to say which app is responsible for that. I am sitting, and restoring them one-by-one with no effect. Maybe I miss some... Don't really know
Ofc I've tried to delete, and restore Conversations.apk (new), I've even installed a X10i version, but still - the same problem.
Reflashing is not an option for me, so I have a big problem. Be thankful for any suggestions.
Doesn't help you, but I have the same issue, a reflash doesn't help have just got into habit of clearing notifications after every text.

Wow, finally I found a way to get rid of this problem once and for all!
This took a while, but anyway...
I've installed the stock "SEMCSettings.apk" from old 1.6 (attached to post).
Simply:
- copied apk to system/app
- changed permissions
- restarted the phone
Voila! Now theres no force close when trying to get in the messages settings.
Quick Edit: The SEMSSettings.apk from 2.1 also works great on that issue

I have a huge and annoying messaging problem on stock. Here's my problem. I text somone and the conversation is formed. When they text me back their message pops up on top of mine and says I've received it at a completely different time! When I text back, the message appears directly below my other message I sent... and so on.. So the messages get all jumbled up! This is REALLYannoying.. HELP?

I'm using stock ROM (2.1 Update 1 with sense).. with the default messaging app.

You know my problem? or not?
Ok. One thing to try. Go to 'manage applications ' then delete data from messages app. This shouldn't delete your messages but you may want to back them up first. Then restart your phone. That is all I can suggest, unless you have thousands of messages, in which case I' d suggest to delete quite a few. Other than that I don't know unless its a carrier problem.
Just thought of one more obvious answer. Go to date and time settings and see if 'network provided values' is checked

Tried it, I'm texting someone now and once I get the response back I should be able to tell if ticking this option changed anything

The time stamps for the incoming text messages seem to arrive at completely different times (FYI)
Anyways if you could offer any further help, it would be greatly appreciated.
I solved it.. I installed SMS Time Fix by Matthew Precious (from the android market) and it fixed my problem.. Thanks for all the help though
Hi all! Just installed Oodie MIUI rom and it's superb! My Xperia is a lot faster and smooth than ever! I'm just experiencing one problem: I can't receive SMS. Sending is alright, the problem is receive a message. And it started from nowhere today: send a message to my brother, he answered to me but the message never came. Help pls =/

Did You change any settings in the firewall apk?
Yes, but the problem persists.

I had same problem I took battery and sim out for a min or so and then reflashed the rom wipe cache battery stats etc then things were fine!

it was because of the multilingual package. I tried the SMS fix that
was posted a while back, but same
thing happened after a while. The
only solution I found was to flash
the ROM from the beginning and
then restore my apps with titanium.
Only after I saw that everything was OK (including SMS) I flashed the
multilingual file.

Some time ago an mesage appeared to me asking if I wanted to receive a sms... then when i was to click in allow, the time runs out and then i wasn't able to re eive any sms =/ I think it was a firewall thing, but I can't find the option to allow anymore... what do I habe to do?
In some custom roms it is natural to have firewall,
First you search your menu for an app named firewall,maybe you turn it on for your incoming messages.
If it doesn't have any problem,
Another app on your menu named superuser,maybe when the last message apeared that you denied you can fix it there and allow to receive SMS again.

Well, have done what vazelos said and worked the advice thing just appears if your miui rom is in english. So, u have to wait till the advice appears, than allow the receive of sms and after that install the multilanguage pack =D tks for everyone for the help!

Have you restored all the settings by Titanium Backup? Because I had the same issue when I always flashed a new rom and restored everything by Titanium Backup. TB is good for restoring apps but if you restore your sistem via TB that can cause problems.

No, i didnt do a full wipe anyway when upgrading from omega v27.2 to v29, so i didn't need to backup and restore with Titanium Backup...

This actually brings me to another question:
I had a similiar problem, I always got the small "1" on the message app icon, eventhough no new message arrived... Restart sometimes fixed this problem, but not allways... Does anyone know more about this problem?

Regarding the notification, it's likely you have an old message somewhere in your messages list... if you don't, I seem to recall there was a known bug where that happened. Try doing a search.

I already checked, there are no old messages, i even deleted them all.
I also tried several possible solutions, but not a single one helped... The problem also seems to happen randomly...
- I restarted the phone
- I deleted the cache
- I deleted the cache of the "BadgeProvider.apk"
- I deleted the message app icon and replaced it on the home screen from the app list
None of the solutions helped... If anyone has another idea, i would be greatly thankful!
A weird glitch has been going on with my Whatsapp for more than week or two, It's simple, I reply a message, using the reply function and then as soon as my reply gets replied(hopefully you understand), the recipients reply above my reply disappears.

As soon as the recipient replies to my reply which is Sup?, the Hey above my reply(Sup?) disappears.

Yeah I have reinstalled the app twice and deleted every file of WhatsApp from the root directory, but still same result. I tried a Gbwhatsapp today and the problem seems to be gone, So I don't think it's my account that might be corrupted as well.
