Hey,
Wanted to see if anyone else ran into thos issue. For some reason, sometimes I run a fix permissions (more out of habit, after I restore from nandroid) and sometimes it works fine, but other times after the fix permissions, it triesto boot, gets to the Galaxy S boot animation, and then goes to a black screen (buttons still light up if touched) indefinitely (Its in a boot loop, if u pull up the logcat).
Has anyone experienced this, and if so have you figured out why. I thought fix permissions corrected permissions issues, so Im a lil confused as to why it is caused some of my backups\installs to bootloop\get stuck on the "black screen of death".
A restore back to a known working nandroid fixes it, but this whole issue has made me lose faith in fix permissions. For a utility that is supposed to help prevent FCs and bootloops, It is quite strange that it would have the opposite effect.
Any advice, solutions, or tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
I did fix permission on my Vibrant and never had a problem I know if you have alot for force close app then it good to run it. No sod or boot lop when f/p.
No problems here ZIM. Running Franken Twiz3 with voodoo. Stupid question but have you tried to delete it and do a re-install?
What did you nandroid to and what were you running?
Try this. I have it posted in my rom thread. Its worked for me and others in my thread have reported its worked for them as well.
1. Download Eugenes 'Froyo that does not brick' file.
2. Extract the files.
3. Open Odin, plug in your phone, then put it into download mode.
4. load the PIT file in appropriate area.
5. load the .tar file in the PDA area.
6. DO NOT check 're-partition'.
7. Click start, let it finish. Your phone will load and reboot into stock recovery. It will error out again. DONT panic! This is what's supposed to happen.
8. Now, pull your battery.
9. Download the 'True stock 2.1 firmware for the vibrant'.
10. Extract the files.
11. Once again, open Odin, plug in your phone, put into download mode.
12. Load the PIT file into the appropriate area and the .tar in the PDA area.
13. THIS TIME you want to check the 're-partition' box.
14. Now click start, let it finish, and this time your phone will load up just fine!
Also, I'm going to move your thread to the Q&A section.
well im running on droid incredible and i just had this happen to me.
unfortunately for me though all my clockworkmod backups all now bootloop
not sure wth is going on as im googling the situation ( this was top of the search list lol ). but atm im looking at totally screwd situation.
i just deleted the permission log file from my sdcard and im now loading up a good working nandroid ( least it was supposed to be )
hopefully i can find a fix for this but it definitly sucks

Where do I get all this files you mention here, I have a galaxy S vibrant getting black screen after boot animation and i have tried a lot of stuff to bring it back to life but I can't. I will like to try this possibility as well, but I do not know where I can download the files you mention here and make sure they are the ones you have tested and not some random file called the same. Also does it matter what odin version to use? I have like 2 or 3 versions and i have tried them all in each possible solution I have found. Thank you for your time.
Look in the stickied threads in general, q&a and development sections.

This will seem long, but I want to ensure whoever may be able to help has all of the info I can give. My vibrant is officially bricked..
1)I was on the newest official software JI6
2)I had installed RyanZA's One click lag fix
3)I reversed the One click lag fix
4)Got creative and decided to try voodoo lag fix for vibrant version 3
5)After installing voodoo, phone will not boot
6)Here are the symptoms after voodoo.....phone will turn on and attempt to boot, but then just sits there with the bottom four buttons lit
7)Next, I have tried the following:
a)Odin JI6 - same result, phone will not move past Galaxy S logo
b)Did a factory reset - then Odin JI6 again = same result
c)Odin stock 2.1 (JFD) with 512 pit = Same result
Please help!
I had to odin my phone like 4 times to get it to work... Odin is the way... Have you tried switching the usb port the phone is plugged into?
Try using Odin and flash back to stock ROM prior to JI6 like JI2 or JFD. This should work

I have tried 2 times now to go back to JFD. Same result, everything goes smooth, then the Galaxy S logo appears. Once the Galaxy S logo goes away, the bottom four buttons stay lit for a while, and then I just have to power on. It stays in this loop.

I believe the reason your phone would not boot is b/c you were running JI6 and flashed the voodoo kernel. To the best of my knowledge ALL of the custom kernels available for the Vibrant are based off of the JFD build. You have to flash the zip from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=804415 THEN flash the kernel you want to use. I also know that once you flash the .zip from that thread, if you try to revert to the STOCK kernel it will hang at the Vibrant screen. Only way to get back to stock STOCK is to use Odin. Now as to why Odin is not working is beyond me... I almost wonder if it converted your RFS to EXT4 even though it hung at the Vibrant screen. If this happened then to fix it I believe you have to use Odin to flash Eugene373's "Froyo that does not brick" then downgrade back to JFD and then upgrade back to JI6. It won't be fun, but hopefully this will help you get up and running again!
Update!
Tried again using odin to JFD.
I noticed that after the blue bar finished in download mode and the screen starts scrolling things...
there was an error. It said it was unable to reset data.
Afterwards, it reboots while odin is finishing, then it shuts the phone off...
I would love to try this, but I believe this is over my head. (No shame here!) I don't know how to flash using clockwork.

I think its safe to say if you are having a data error then voodoo IS enabled on your phone. You either need to do what I said earlier and flash Eugene's Froyo that does not brick and then downgrade back to JFD OR you might be able to use adb to push a file named "disable lagfix" (no extensions) into the "Voodoo" folder on your sdcard to disable voodoo. You need to disable it before your phone will work.

Official Instructions for Reverting from a Voodoo Issue:
SOURCE
Did You Flash Something Before Disabling Voodoo? 2 Fixes to Help You Out.
So you forgot to disable the voodoo lagfix before you flashed a new rom and now you're getting an error, similar to the one posted below. Even Odin won't allow you to flash back to stock. Well, pay close attention and with some luck, you'll be good as rain...or something like that.
Fix 1:
BAM!
Fix 2: (use only if you know how to use adb commands)
1. Place the 'disable-lagfix' file in your sdk>tools directory
2. Get into clockwork recovery like you normally would
3. Follow these adb commands to push the 'disable-lagfix' file to you sdcard>voodoo
adb push disable-lagfix /sdcard/voodoo
4. File should now be on your sdcard in your voodoo folder.
5. Reboot phone and with luck, you should hear Linda the robot telling you your file system is being converted back to rfs.
6. Because your system directory has already been wiped, you'll still get a black screen when you reboot, but your file system is back to rfs. Just pull the battery, and reflash whatever rom you want. Then reboot again.

Taken from the Bionix Instruction Page
As a note this will WIPE all the data on your phone except for the external sd card. The internal 16gb card will get wiped. Using ADB I would pull the entire contents of your /sdcard/ to your Computer so that you can restore completely. The command is as follows:
adb pull /sdcard/

That is great! Glad to hear everything worked out ok.
First of all this is probably all my fault for not unrooting my Vibrant before trying to flash the stock rom through Odin. I've tried different versions of Odin and the flash is successful, but I'm getting a black screen after the "S" during start up. Sometimes the keys will light up, other times they won't. I'm using the right .tar and .pit files as well. I'm still able to boot into recovery and download mode. I'm at a loss right now and considering just trying to get a new Vibrant from T-Mobile somehow.

I'll share with you the steps I go through when reverting to bone stock JFD.
Go HERE and get Odin3 v1.70. Earlier versions, especially v1.00 are as buggy as a roach motel.
Go HERE and get the JFD Odin3 package, including the 512.pit file and the JFD pda file.
Load them (as you seem to know how to do) and be sure to click REPARTITION before proceeding with the flash.
I'd also suggest removing the external SD and sim.. I've never personally had to do this, but you might as well...
Let me know if this succeeds or fails...
You should check out'eugenes froyo that doesn't brick' search for that. Using that method through odin and then stock will wipe everything, including your internal sd card, but it should get you up and running again. It's a pain but it should do the trick

Good man! I was gonna suggest that as the next step!
If my initial clarifications failed (I was being specific primarily about the need to repartition) to help..Then do the procedure HERE, which is flashing Eugene's brick liberating Froyo first before using Odin3 to revert back to JFD..
note: this requires you having a working and functional install of the AndroidSDK found HERE.
Thanks and thanks for posting links, I can't do that yet

since you already have the original jdf.tar im assuming. all you need to complete the equation is the froyo that doesnt brick as a few others have already said. you will lose everything on sd card.
step 1: load up ODIN
step 2: select the pit file that you have already
step 2: select eugenes froyo.tar as the pda selection
step 3. turn off phone and take battery completely out
step 4: plug usb cable into phone and computer (battery must still be out)
step 5: push and hold both vol +/- keys and insert battery.
Step 6: if done correctly, you should know be in download mode (yellow triangle, actually says downloading lol) if not repeat steps 3-5 until successful then continue to step 7 (one of the com windows should light up displaying com:4 for example but could be any number..
Step 7: select repartition, auto reboot, and f. reset time. NOTHING ELSE.
step 8: click start.
Step 9: assuming that it doesnt hang anywhere, the blue progress bar should slowly continue to move until finish and phone boots into recovery (probably gonna through an error. doesnt matter)
Step 10: battery pull
Step 11: repeat steps 4 and 5 now
Step 12: this time select same pit file
step 13: for the pda file select ...uvjdf.tar (the one you originally tried to flash that landed you in this situation).
step 14: uncheck repartition this time. (only f. reset time and auto reboot should be selected)
step 15: click start.
Step 16: if it hangs, repeat steps 10-15.
step 17:it will reboot into recovery. then select reboot phone now.
step 18: assuming that all was done correctly, you should have your phone back exactly how it was the day you bought it, minus the sims3(sacrifices)
I feel like your phone may have been burned by dragons recently. lemme know if it works.
Gave your idea a try masterotaku and the outcome was the same. I'm now trying the "eugene's froyo that doesn't brick". I'm unfamiliar with Android SDK. Do I just install it and thats it?
Flashing to eugene's froyo that doesn't brick and then flashing back to stock worked. Ya'll saved my phone! Thanks for all ya'll help. This has got to be the most quick to respond forum and most helpful one I've been apart of. Thanks again. Is there like a points system here or something I can use to show my gratitude?
****THIS POST IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS*****READ COMPLETELY BEFORE PROCEEDING*********************************************************************
I had to do this because I had flashed wrong thing in ODIN, and I had NO other choice....I did not do this by choice but this REALLY WORKS and I THINK ITS GREAT I was taking a RISK and I understood the consequences....I Could have ended up with a BRICKED PHONE, but that was not to be. I am VERY VERY happy with the results.
I WANT TO SAY THAT ALOT OF THE MATERIAL IN THIS POST WAS USED FROM LINKS AND POSTS FROM XDA WEBSITE THEY ARE A GREAT FORUM AND ANYONE DOING THIS SHOULD BECOME A MEMBER OF "XDA" AND "MOD A DROID"....THANK YOU XDA AND ALL THE DEV'S FOR ALL YOUR WORK ALL THE MATERIAL IN THIS POST I WILL PUT LINKS TO PAGES AT THE BOTTOM FROM PAGES USED "BUT I HAVE CHANGED SOME OF THE STEPS SO FOLLOW THIS POSTS INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO THIS PROCEDURE"....TO FASCINATE YOUR MESMERIZE.

First -You NEED to download everything and have it on your PC ready to use !!! DO NOT START WITHOUT DOING THIS.
Second -You NEED to backup your contacts. DO NOT USE MY CONTACTS BACKUP !!! You will not have that app yet so there is no way to restore them. I used an app. called LOOKOUT from the market. You have to install on phone and sign-up on LOOKOUTS web sight and make sure you run a backup of contacts, as well you need to move any apps you want to your PC or SD card. I recommend the PC to leave space on SD Card....Have at least 1GB free on card to be plenty safe.
Ok heres the deal this may or may not be something you will want to do to your phone....DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK....This is what I did to turn my phone into a Fascinate even though I was a US Cellular Mesmerize. I WARN THIS WORKS BUT THERE ARE PROS AND CONS TO DOING THIS. To date there is NO, I REPEAT NO WAY to date to go back from this procedure to a MESMERIZE. Someone may have a way but I have not seen or found it yet. I do believe it is only a matter of time before the DEV'S come up with a restore and then you could go back to stock. SUMMARY= THERE IS NO WAY TO DATE TO REVERSE THIS PROCEDURE !!! DO AT OWN RISK !!!
First thing you need to do is download ROM MANAGER from the market and put the App on the SD Card for later install. Next Download this file here>>>>
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/458252/Fascinate Files/update.zip ---- to the ROOT of your SD Card it is a file called "UPDATE.ZIP" "DO NOT RENAME" put that on there and do not remove it you need it do a restore to access Clockwork later. This is where you need to have this located on SD. ---- /sdcard/update.zip.
Second you need to download...DI01 update with root and busybox here>>>>http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S7IFCKX0
Important:"DO NOT RENAME" and DO NOT put this on the root of your sdcard as /sdcard/update.zip. That's where clockwork mod lives. PUT IN FOLDER you name what ever on SD Card. You will need to go here later in the post to install this in step#12
/sdcard/"FOLDER YOU NAME"/update.zip.
Next thing you need the samsung drivers for windows for this to work. Those can be found on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=779238 [this page has a good write up on how to down load and install.] or direct link BELOW>>>> Thank you DIRRK XDA member.
Download and Install Samsung Drivers to your WINDOWS PC this whole procedure was done on a WINDOWS 7 PC. WARNING: You need different drivers for mac/Linux and I do not know where to get them as I have only a WINDOWS PC.

If you do you will see a PC connected to a phone by a triangle this means you prematurely unplugged and you will need to re-flash whichever step failed to flash. It is only OK to unplug once a step is finished and Odin says reset in blue, but you do not need to you can load the next file and go. But I've got steps below so if you are here you didn't read entire post. CAREFUL Now follow step 4.1
ONLY FLASH ONE OF THESE AT A TIME. START WITH THE /SYSTEM ODIN AND WORK YOUR WAY DOWN THE LIST.---You do not just flash the pit file it is used with the other files like system, kernel, and recovery. ****FILES BELOW STEPS****READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE USING ODIN AND KNOW THE RISKS*************************************

2. Open Odin on desktop
3. Hold volume down button and plug device into computer-This will place the device into download mode
4. Verify device shows up in Odin ---This should be a yellow rectangle with id #----As well the phone will also say download mode with a yellow triangle on it
4.1: Select PIT button
4.2: Select PIT file downloaded from this post and load it into Odin. (I Never loaded the pit file when I did this in Odin and worked fine for me but from what I understand it is good practice to do so to Quote a post ---"You need to load the pit file into Odin---Missing these steps usually results in major FC hell issues." Thanks PHOENIXPATH senior member XDA
4.1: To Flash the "Stock-i500-VZW-System.tar.md5" file you,
5. Click "PDA" button in Odin ---MAKE SURE YOU ONLY USE PDA "DO NOT USE PHONE" YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
6. Select "Stock-i500-VZW-System.tar.md5" from where you downloaded it
7. Click "Start" This will reboot your phone when complete. This flashes both the kernel and the recovery partition to enable you to flash update.zips signed with test keys. ---When done ODIN should say reset leave pit alone and load next file of the three needed to be flashed.(YOU MAY NEED TO UNPLUG and REDO STEPS 1-4 AGAIN)and jump/proceed to step#8 and continue on.
8. Flash "Stock-i500-VZW-Kernel.tar.md5" when done says reset move to next step.
8.1 Flash "Stock-i500-VZW-Recovery.tar.md5" when done says reset move to next step.
9. Flash "CWMrecovery.tar" ----THANK YOU JT1134 Senior member XDA
10. Replace the battery and Boot in to Recovery= HOLD VOL UP + VOL DOWN same time and PRESS POWER, all three need to be pushed to enter recovery.
11. In recovery navigate UP=vol. up/ DOWN=vol. down /ENTER=home key----You need to select "apply sdcard:UPDATE.ZIP" on ROOT of SD Card to enter the next recovery screen.
12.In this recovery "CLOCKWORK RECOVERY" navigation is different UP/DOWN=SAME but ENTER=power key---you need to navigate to the "ADVANCED" and then apply "WIPE DALVIK CACHE" when done select "REBOOT RECOVERY" (brings you to stock recovery) navigate to "WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET" once done go to "APPLY SDCARD UPDATE.ZIP" then "INSTALL ZIP FROM SD CARD" once there select "CHOOSE ZIP FROM SD CARD" navigate to the folder "YOU GAVE A NAME TO" and inside is the 2nd "UPDATE.ZIP" you put there and select it...wait until it is finnished...once done.."GO BACK"and"GO BACK AGAIN" then select "REBOOT SYSTEM NOW"
13. Enjoy your stock Fascinate phone with DI01 update and root and busybox . You still will have phone call ability but a couple of apps like contacts backup and vcast are "Verizon" and we at US Cellular can not use. But once you install custom ROMS in Rom Manager you will be able to get roms with them removed or get apps to shut down/freeze them and sub. them out.
Alot of the ROMS have apps taken from the MESMERIZE so this is not really an issue at least not to me.
INSTALL ROM MANAGER FROM SD CARD OR LOAD TO PHONE FROM PC AND INSTALL ON PHONE......
NOW GO INTO ROM MANAGER AND "BACKUP CURRENT ROM" so any changes made from here you can get back to this point.....once done you can NOW LOAD CUSTOM ROMS,KERNELS AND ENJOY THE HELL OUT OF YOUR "FASCINATED-MESMERIZE"
Buy the latest PRO version of ROM MANAGER and use to upgrade kernels thru clockwork or load roms in rom manager......
These are the files to put in ODIN PDA Flashing one at a time with the PIT file. ONLY USE PIT AND PDA......You have been warned again. PS-NEVER DUMP IN ODIN,and do not check anything but PDA AND PIT...there are things checked in ODIN when it loads leave them alone.

Because There is no way mainstream to use clockwork or rom manager. Hense you can only root, thats it without this.

My thoughts exactly?! I thought people that had a fascinate were wishing it wasn't so fascinatish?
Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Correct, No Way of FLashing ROM MANAGER so you can apply the first update.zip
You Can Flash but when you apply the update to a MESMERIZE you get E:signature verify fail -hence No Clockwork, NO Roms. No Way to Customize

Awesome job. Glad you got it working. Now all we need its a way to reverse these steps so us fascinate users can go to 'stock' mesmerize.
(...or better yet, stock android...)

Yea, was worried origionally that I was screwed but its a draw/Im happy its only a matter of time before the Fasinate users will be able to go stock mesmerize because this SHOULD?see no reason why not, go both ways.
I know that Sprint is doing an I-500 can we go there too, at least for apps and features. I wonder? And what about the 4G...USC and VZW are 3G would switching/Moding give any advantages I think NOT but still wonder how much of that speed is controled by phone software. I really think its all the network but not 100% sure.
Post above looks interesting the one for Koush's site am checking it out now....Thanks

3 hours to upload that small of a file... Dropbox blows for something like that. We'll see.
So i have clockwork working on my mesmerize and running jts super clean but does this allow you to use all facinate roms and kernels on the mesmerize? if so i wanna try this
so if i did this and i used clockwork to perform a backup before i did this could i possibly just restore that backup and have it be a mesmerize again?
and it was said there are pros and cons of doing this? the pros are great but what are the cons besides not being able to go back to stock mesmerize????

So yesterday everything was going great, thanks to Frost being released, i downloaded it, went to CWM, i clicked install, and it was in the progress of flashing, but then i get this:
E: Cant symlink /system/bin/cat
E: Failure at line 16:
symlink toolbox SYSTEM:bin/cat
Installation aborted
Then i Odin to stock, and re-downloaded, same thing happened, I Odin'd to stock again and checked Re-Partition this time and still no luck, then i was like forget it. So i flashed Trigger26.zip...and i get THE SAME RESULTS! so i then Odin'd the third time and i was like ill just flash Bionix 1.3...i do it and the SAME thing happened, EXPCEPT it looked different, it said this:
E: Cant symlink /system/bin/su
E: Failure at line 16:
symlink /system/xbin/su SYSTEM:bin/su
Installation aborted
So instead of it saying bin/cat like in the Frost error
is said bin/su in the Bionix error...
I dont know what to do i cannot flash anything at all, i know i shouldnt be posting this here or whatever the haters wanna say, i jist need help..
Thanks for reading my desperate post and for trying...i hope help reaches soon!!
I don't know where you got your Odin and the files for stock but try downloading re-installing Odin and the files from here:
http://androidspin.com/2010/08/09/how-to-restore-or-recover-your-samsung-vibrant/
These work great and I have heard of people having bad/damaged files before.
If not, try the CWM config:

or:

Good luck!
I had a similar issue once and was able to get it fixed by flashing (in Odin) Eugene's Froyo That Doesn't Brick, then going back to stock and starting fresh.
I looked for a download link but couldn't find one. Check out Google and if you can't find a download link, let me know and I'll upload it.
follow the above posts they are correct but here is the sequence for a reminder:
9. Download the JFD file for the vibrant'.
Good luck.......................... sheesh

I tried this, except my phone didnt error out and i was on JK2 froyo, so then i just went back to download mode, checked re partition, put the pit and the JFD and when i did it, my phone was stuck on the vibrant screen! what do i do now? am i eternally bricked?
You are not bricked, just stuck in boot loop. Shouldn't have checked re-partiton, try running the process again, only with two checkboxes checked, no re-partition.

OR run the same process again just remeber to put PIT file in to PIT place and click repartition ,if u wont put pit file dont check repartiton, but u have to check repartitoin now since u have done this without pit file and u checked repartition do it again with pit and repartiotn .
put pit in to pit field
put JFD.zip in to PDA field
check repartition
Thanks guys ill try it, and even though i am getting the "E:" error, i can still flash Axura but not bionix, frost, or trigger....
thats really weird ........
Are you wiping each time this happened to me a while back and a quick fix was to just wipe everything (data, cache, dalvick cache, battery stats, etc.) Just wipe.

This thread has a similar issue to what im having, but ive branched off elsewhere...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883944&highlight=Rom+Manager+partition+recover
The story: Ive had a rooted vibrant for a while. Im no linux noob, either. I was having some issues so i decided to try Darky's Toxic rom...worked GREAT! I made a clockwork backup...now i felt it safe to start to play.
I was having media scanner issues...so i decided to repartition my storage spaces (and to get rid of the avatar movie)...but i used ROM manager...clearly by mistake. whoops.
So after MUCH trouble with boot looping...i was able to ODIN to Eugene's Froyo that doesnt brick. The STOCK rom wouldnt give me video...just hung after the Galaxy S boot seq. Im assuming thats a voodoo issue?
Anyway...able to get Eugene's on there...and i was smart and made a back up of both storage spots. I reloaded CWR, and tried to restore to the backup of Toxic i made with no luck. Matter of fact, i cant get any other ROM to load that ive tried.
Any suggestions to get my restore point back up and running? I thought about trying to go stock...but like i said, i couldnt get to stock through ODIN.
Couple of Ideas........ I am assuming you can get into download and recovery.
If you can get into recovery, clear cache, wipe dalvik then, pull battery and get into download, then try odin back to stock, remember to check repartition.
Or try Heimdall, sometimes it works when Odin does not. But if you can get into download then, there is a way (or some combo of ways) to get you back to stock. Just be patient and logical......... you will get it..........good luck
I CAN get into download and recovery...and was able to get CWR back on...thankfully.
I have tried every combo of wipes i can think of.
If i flash to true stock 2.1...i get black screen with lit buttons.
If i flash to Eugene's...i can boot into a ROM build with no internal storage, therefore no way to install apps.
I just came across this and tried it...with no new results.
Fix 1:
BAM!

I'll try your suggestion now...thanks!
Still no luck. Same thing...black screen, with lit buttons.
Did i officially brick this thing?! haha...i thought it barely possible with the vibrant.
I tried flashing the JI6 rom too....still no go.
Anything?
When you Odin to stock, what tar are you using? When you repartition, do you use the pit file?
I suggest that you use the JFD Odin image and repartition using 512.pit. I have also heard of some people having more success with Odin when they dont have an SD card or SIM card in the phone (this may be an old wives tale.) Good luck.
Same problem
I had this exact issue two days ago and after many attempts with Odin, like you, the only ROM I could load was Eugene's. Re-Partitioning with Odin had no affect, stock wouldn't work and wiping everything had no affect. With Eugene's it would show no space for apps and wouldn't hold any settings if the phone was rebooted. It seems that clockwork mod is actually removing the apps partition and no tool I could find would actually recreate it. I searched quite a bit and found several posts all with the same issue and in every case they had to replace the phone. Luckily I am still under warranty so T-Mobile is replacing it. I don't know if the Clockwork Mod developer has a thread on here, but that "feature" needs some work or it needs to be removed.

Yes, ive used both the vanilla JFD tmo tar, and the JI6 tar. Neither worked. Triend both the 512 and the 513 PIT file. 512 for the first HUNDRED times...then 513 for the hell of it, since at this point, i was getting nowhere.
And thanks pamulli, thats what im basically resigning to..i just needed to hear it from another person.
