Hey i need help with my new Samsung Galaxy Note
Its an android...samsung galaxy note...but itz not playing any series sites like watchseries.eu...plz help!
So here is my situation. Im working on a new company called www.clubstarvip.com. I used google app inventor to make the app so it works and everything is funtional, but for some reason it on the evo 3d it wont display full screen. Any ideas on how i could fix this? It does work with other phones as i have tested it on around 5 different models. All with different versions of android. Can some help me fix this?
Also for anyone interested the website is going to be a club type program, were we will have vendors and other business signed up , were they will give you free products, vip service, immediate seating's at restaurants etc.Anyone who would be interested in adding there business, i would be more than happy to do so at no charge to you .
I have also enclosed the apk so if you want to install and see whats going on you can get a first hand view. Also if you want to install it to another type of phone it will actually work. Were currently not in full launch yet, were working on a 60-90 day hard launch. So over the next few months you will see more and more vendors signed.
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/providing-resources.html#AlternativeResources
you have to give your apk different/extra resources since the Evo has a bigger display than the average at 480x800.
Scroll a little down on that page and look for "Providing Alternative Resources"
I decompiled your apk but it would not let me recompile it. Not sure why but to add these changes you will have to do that.
Thank you, I'm going to try it first thing in the morning. I'll post back on how I made out.

We Can't be the Only ones, Can we? Lol...
everyone is interested the problem is that the legality of apps that can stream live tv from the channels we are interested in is pretty questionable. Essentially the developers of the app don't have the rights to stream the content and the content owners aren't interested
Not really a way to do it unless someone sets up something similar to http://www.slingbox.com/go/home
Otherwise, you'll need to wait till companies like Comcast and Cablevision port their apps from the ipad to android
If you live in the UK (or have a uk vpn/proxy u can use) the best isn't really an app but a website
www.tvcatchup.com gives access to the following channels
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I have used this service many times whilst I am camping and its perfect.
In Australia, I can only watch ABC channel!
Every Stupid website that works seems to get Shut Down as soon as I find out about it, Lol...
This may be a bone head old news post, but it's something I just noticed. I usually check for the free amazon app on my phone each morning but forgot to this morning so I checked online. This is when I noticed a "Test Drive" button as pictured below. I havn't had a chance to play with it yet, but wondering if others have and if, in fact, this is nothing new and I just failed to notice.
Nothing new. .. But still good for those that dont want to install the app before hand and see how it is

I haven't actually seen anything that's even worth test driving in that section.

so it's only certain apps then? Perhaps this is why I never noticed. Only time I use web based to to provide a link to someone on here so I don't spend much dwell time.

yea i think it's only certain apps, usually useless stuff like games.
First the usual disclaimer, i searched and did not find an answer.
Now, I don't know if i'm doing something wrong but some links I get in my email or on some forums will not redirect properly. Specifically, ebay daily deal, newegg and some links on slickdeals do not load. Is it a setting? I've been just living with it but I would really like some help. I am on stock rom, rooted, and have tried every browser to no avail. It's either an android issue or a setting because my touchpad on cm9 is the same. Clicking on the link gets webpage not available.
Just so there is no question about the links they work on my pc and ipad.
Any ideas?

Have you ever tried flashing ROMS to see if that could fix things? If you would like to... let me know and I can help.

I have not tried flashing a ROM on my Atrix but strangely enough I have the same issue with my Touchpad on CM7 and CM9. Not sure if you or anyone else gets the ebay daily deals email but I would love for someone to check and see if they can open the links. I can forward the email is someone wants, just PM your email address. I also have today's newegg deal which opens on the ipad but not on any android device I have.
By the way Voelker45, thanks for trying to help. I have been thinking about flashing my phone but held off while under warranty. Now that the warranty is up I could do it with guidance from someone like yourself. I would really like to know if I'm doing something wrong that the links don't work currently.
Does anyone have any ideas? I just tested today's ebay daily deal email. Tried it on wifi and mobile data. Tried it in stock browser and opera. Nothing works. Can someone at least tell me they get ebay daily deals and can launch them just fine.
Thanks

There are other browsers too. Like dolphin HD or Firefox. What about flashing ROMS. If you want to start doing that, give me the ok and I will recommend some links to read once you tell me which carrier, and firmware your on.

Voelker45 , I want to thank you for taking the time to try and diagnose my issue. I did some very extensive searching today. I determined that ebay was using and ad company to handle it's links and redirect to its site. The ad company's address is "links.p0.com". Did some searching on that and found that people reported having issues in Windows also with links from other places (not ebay) and isolated it to their host files blocking the site. Then did some searching on android host files and that's when it stuck out in black and white to me. One find in my search mentioned "adfree" and I realized I'm running adfree. So another search came up with the location of the host files for adfree. The file was too big to edit through root explorer so I emailed it to myself, removed the website and emailed it back. FINALLY, it's working. Makes sense when I think about it now but it just never occurred to me. Now on to figuring out what newegg is using and unblock that. Thank you again friend. Even though you didn't give me the solution you did engage me allowing me to get my mind churning.
Who knows this might benefit someone else.
Hey no prob. Glad I got those wheels churning. good stuff you found in the last post there. I learned something there.

My tablet was doing this to me too. I couldn't figure out why my links weren't redirecting me to the site after I clicked on them. I'm glad you posted this.
