[Q] three questions that i can't find answers to regarding lockscreen!!! - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

1. Everytime i lock my phone i have to enter my phone lock code to unlock it... can i set the phone lock to activate after a certain amount of time instead of entering the code every time i lock it? i thought that the prompt box would do it but i set that to different times and i still have to unlock it with the code everytime.
2. using gyrator 2, how do i disable the lockscreen from rotating all over the place but keep gyrator rotating all of my other apps? i tried creating a new event to enable/disable rotate for the lockscreen but the lockscreen wasn't in the list (and i am not using bsb tweaks because i dont like it).
3. even though i have edited the volume overlay so that system volume is default... when listening to music with the phone locked when i use the rocker keys it changes the ring volume instead of the system volume... how is this solved?
any help would be much appreciated!!!
cheers.

[Q] little app or widget/button to just LOCK the screen? (not turn off)

There seems to be plenty of adequate little homescreen button apps to lock the screen. but they turn it off at the same time. I want the option for both. I already have one that turns the screen off, now I want a different one that just brings up the ICS default lock screen (the one that shows up just after turning the screen back on or at OS startup - if you set it to have lock security).
I'll put em in the icon group on the home screen.
It's cos sometimes I just need to lock the screen while carrying the phone for a short while [and don't want to touch something while grabbing it by the screen], then easily [without having to press the power button] unlock phone again to resume using it once I'm done carrying.
IS there one that does this? Without having to be its own lock screen app - I really just want to keep things simple.....
Thanks for your help.
I found a solution even better than I had imagined myself! Hidden Lock Pro! even easier and better for my needs than I myself thought of: I press its widget icon to lock screen, it's a simple blank ICS background which is locked to prevent accidental pressing on something, then even better than the default lock security needs (cos it's only while I'm carrying it, in secure environments, that i ever need to use this temp lock function), and I have it set to 'shake to unlock' mode to simply go back to my work when ready! PERFECT for my needs above .

[Q] Lockscreen button/gesture alternative LS

Hi,
I did search for lockscreens and didn't find anything close to what i am looking for. I used to use a Jailbroken iPhone and one of the only things I miss is this lockscreen system I had in place;
If I wanted to lock the screen and not have to put in a pin number to open it every time I just pressed the sleep button. However if I wanted it to have pin lock I just held the sleep button for a second.
It's so simple and saves so much time.
So I suppose if I had the standard lockscreen (I am Note 3) with a pin unlock, and the alternative being WidgetLocker (with no pin unlock) then i could just switch between the two. If that's possible, then it would just be a question of assigning widgetlocker to a button/gesture.
Do you know of anyway to achieve what I want?
Thanks, Chris

[Q] Simplicity v5: Disable lockscreens and volume key wake up screen?

Hi.
First of all, thanks to abhi922 for this great ROM. It is really light and cute.
I've read the thread in Development section, and I know how difficult it was to implement the lockscreens in this ROM, so it can be a little ironic that I want to disable them entirely, and even remove them to get a little more space. I can not find a way to disable them from the Simplicity options, it just let me choose between locks. It is possible to get rid of the them?
The other question is whether there is any way that the volume buttons do not wake up the screen. I use a lot the music player (PowerAmp), and I don't like having to turn off the screen every time I go up or low volume. I`ve read that PowerAmp don't do this, but in my case, it does.
Thanks in advance.

For first,
First go to simplicity settings enable all 15 toggels
In that you will see Lock toggel just off it your lockscreen will get disabled .

Yes, I have activated the toggle in the status bar. But is there anything more ... permanent? Do not know if it's normal, but I have to use the lockscreen toggle every time my phone restarts. It seems to work much like the "no lock" app: does not disable the lockscreen, only prevents it activates.
So I wanted to know if it is possible to get rid of the lockscreen, or is that Android simply does not allow it, and now I have to spend the rest of my life (or more like... phone life) inactivated it every time I turn on the phone. I know it is not that bad, but well... yep.
Ok, I think I've made it (at least disable screen wake from volume keys, for lockscreen I'm still using "no lock" until I find another way to get rid of it)..
I found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086526) and downloaded the file in the first post, but doesn't work for me. It seems that disabled lockscreen and avoid volume keys to wake up screen are not compatible. You have to choose one -_-
But reading the rest of the thread get me this idea and it works:
I've open /system/usr/keylayout with my root explorer and edited all the files that have VOLUME_UP and VOLUME_DOWN on them (in my case, bcm_headset.kl, qwerty.kl, sec_key.kl and sec_keypad.kl).
The thing is that you have to delete the word WAKE from each VOLUME_UP and VOLUME_DOWN that you find.
Mi lockscreen is desactivated (with "no lock" app) and my screen doesn't wake up anymore with the volume keys AT ALL
Thanks to DocRambone and aydc for the ideas. And to Hitesh2626 for your attention.

[App] Oops! Applocker, An Applocker without pin/pattern Lock

This application locker does not use any on screen password ie. pin based or a pattern based locking system.
We use volume key pattern as the password. You can make any pattern using volume keys, like UP UP DOWN UP, default key is three times UP.
You can choose the background for lockscreen for each application. Default is None ie. A transparent see through screen.
-Nobody even notice it is locked.
-Fake app in launcher as K-Note.
-Clean and neat.
-Transparent screen makes as if your application is stuck.
-You can fool your friends.
Never even allow others to get into your privacy.
Happy Locking.
