Google recently pulled NESoid and other emulators. the guy posting the "oid" emulators put them up on slide me. There is the link.
All of them are free for another week or so so people who paid for them on google can download a backup copy.
TAKE [email protected]!!
Never knew about slideme market.
It's good to know.
I had bought the Snesoid for my droid X ages ago, and didn't really like the interface. Not sure how much better it would be on the Nook.
Haven't they been free for like a month already? Google pulled them a long time ago.
New or not, thanks for the heads up. Had no idea.
Well he took code from an opensource project with a non-commercial license so now its just free like it should have been the entire time.

Took open-source Non commercial code or not, I still dont see why people were whining about it. i know i know, thats the rules, but sheesh he did a damn good job at porting it.
Thanks for this.
I never did get around to putting slideme back onto my most recent flash for the Nook.
This absolutely made it worth it to pick up the rest of the emulators.
Much thanks!
Thanks for posting. Love it. I loved my GBA, but now I realize how "great" the graphics were. Worth keeping for nostalgia.
The Transformer Prime has been out for almost a month now, yet Gameloft has not added a single supported game for us yet, even though the Prime is the most powerful Android device out now. Gameloft needs to break it's little agreement of favoring Apple and also needs to stop feuding with Asus.
It took Gameloft MONTHS to produce 4 measly games for the Asus Transformer TF101 and before that, owners had to do alternative methods of playing their games.
Until more Tegra 3 games come out, Gameloft games are the best we can get for now. Gameloft needs to get it's head out of it's arse and support our Primes. We should not have to scurry around to find an alternative method to play Gameloft games.
This is one of the only responses that we have received regarding Gameloft support on our Primes:
Hello,
So far we don't have games for your device.
Please visit our website for all the news and announcements concerning our releases.

I can't figure out how to register on their forum. It keeps saying that I input the security questions wrong...
They really are a terrible company.....
I still don't understand why game loft do sent just put openGL support into all their games so they will run on ALL devices, they need to get over their insecurities about priacy and realize that piracy of their apps will dramatically decrease if they start supporting more devices
</rant>
I haven't enjoyed any of their games.
Of the ten or so that I bought I returned all but one for refunds within 5 minutes of installing.
They all run on the same crumby engine and lack variety. Its like the same game over and over with different color themes.
I don't feel like we're missing out. Especially on tegra 3.
I don't mind waiting for some good games to arrive.
I just hit up all of the Twitter and FB accounts

Their games are pretty repetitive, but UNO are DH2 aren't bad at all.

They remove facebook comments rather quickly as soon as you mention tegra 3.
Nice looking games but their attitude is horrid.
I would love to buy some of Gameloft's games, but all of the games that I want to buy aren't available, even though most of them would probably run on my devices anyway.
Petitions are definitely the way to go in my opinion. If they see how many people want to buy the games, they'll probably decide it's worth the time investment.

My comments are still on there FB pages.
Why don't we create a petition? We could involve also TF101 user that have got the same issue and I can post on italian forums as I did when LG threatened not to upgrade O2x to ICS. Petitions are the best weapon we have, we could start one

I'm sorry, I went down to the patent office and already got it patented.
I received this email today regarding my support inquiry about TFP support:
Hello!
We actually support your device, and we have few games for your tablet.
Our development team is constantly working to bring new games to all platforms and we forward them all your suggestions. We do not currently have any specific information to share about the release of a particular game for your device, but be sure to follow our Twitter (twitter.com/gameloft) or like us on Facebook (facebook.com/gameloft) so that you'll be the first to know when this changes. All our new game announcements are available there in real time.
Please note that you should not try downloading a game which is not specifically for your phone model. Each game is built for one particular device. If your phone is not on the list of supported devices, it's no use trying to get another build. It will not work and it is not meant to work.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Best regards,

really sorry
Or you could just stop being an ass pay for them and not have to piss about cracking them everytime an update comes out which is quite often with some apps?
Also imagine if nobody paid for apps we'd have no developers at all, I really can't stand people like you.

I missed this, gutted!! I know your (scratch) views on certain issues so I can kind of guess what has riled you up. Shame on you OP.

Don't get me wrong I have pirated apps on my SD card who here doesn't truthfully but I also have like 70+ apps which I have bought mainly to support the Dev for making an app I like and also to make sure I get updates and don't miss out on new features.
The part I strongly disagree with is openly promoting pirated apps to the masses, especially on a site designed solely to promote development.

I totally agree with you mate.

Since the og droid rooting has been one of my biggest hobbies. I am interested in learning more about developing roms. I want to know if anyone has a Site where I could learn about it so one day I can try to contribute to the Android community. I'm an information technology major and just started java and c# last semester but my professor's told me my school doesn't offer anything related to rooting phones or developing roms. I'm also interested about making apks so if anyone has any suggestions as to what to read or what Site has good information on the subject I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

For making apks, you must know JAVA. If you do, then visit http://developer.android.com/guide/components/index.html download Android SDK and Eclipse and start developing. If you like video tutorials, I found this great tutorial showing how to develop apps in eclipse. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2F07DBCDCC01493A&feature=plcp
I hope I helped at least a bit.
He's right, applications are mostly written in java language with a few other programming languages thrown in the mix..go to barnes and noble, look in the computer section and you will find an array of books on developing applkcations for the android OS...As far as developing roms, there are two types of developers...themers and innovators...the themers only add eye candy and scripts which any script kiddie can do..I myself woulf love to learn the complexities of android developing but I lack a platform in order to do so...I've got limited knowledge on linux but understand a few things.....how nice would it be if you had an insider from google...lol

I am looking to create steam games for both Windows, MAC, and Linux. What is the best book or online resource to learning C++? Or should I be learning a different coding language for a huge game like COD, Rome 2, Skyrim, etc.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda premium
The core gameplay of COD was most likely coded in C++ [thanks to google]… If your looking to make good sophisticated games it will take time, to learn and to complete the project. If you can get some help, its difficult to do this alone but it doesn't mean you can't. I would recommend C++ because its great for somewhat large scale games and is a great language overall
GOOD LUCK
AND DONT
GIVE UP!

Thank you for the reply, I don't usually give up, and can't wait to learn and create. I also have a buddy that is willing to learn with me so I'm not alone.

C++ can be fairly difficult, it depends on how much programming knowledge you have.
If you've never touched C, the classic reference is The C Programming Language. It's been 15 years+ since I bought my copy but it's still one of the best programming books ever released. By today's standards it's also one of the thinnest.
The usual references for C++ are from the designer of the language, Bjarne Stroustrup.
They are a demanding (at points, difficult) read - probably best suited to those already quite familiar with the language - not really 'learning' books.
this one is best online course for c++ and i am currently learning the same cprogramming.com
hope i helped you
good luck buddy!
