Hello, and thanks for the instructions. However, it seems DELL has taken the file down as I am not able to download it using this link. In case you still have it, can you please upload it somewhere?
EDIT: Nevermind, it's working now.
I've done, but follow this special version for Froyo 2.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913709
USB Debugging = ON
using SuperOneClick v1.6.1 or later always stuck on "Reading OS Version Properties..."

good luck to you
Tried and failed
I tried to root my dell venue using the mentioned steps and all I kept seeing on Superoneclick was "Waiting for Device....."
What should I do now..... the device is connecting in all other ways to the PC.
I can use Dell sync and I can use the USB mode to transfer data.
What settings should I put on the phone?
Should I use USB Debugging?
Should I keep the Data connected?
Looking forward to your valuable inputs.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello!!! I really need some help, finished all possibility
After playing with StreakDroid GingerStreak 2.4 Beta i decided to come back to 360 rom(no wireless issue, etc).Everything goes good(rom and recovery),install all my applications, nandroid backup and then something happens....My laptop losses connection with streak,no more usb debugging, usb mount ,only charge.driver ok.i try other sd car. i try connection with other laptop(xp,w7),apple,nothing,not even ask for driver....
i reset the device,reinstall 360 rom(other rom like 351,354,345 not accepted)
everything is working now, except no possibility for rooting,fastboot....i*m realy lost
2.2.2,gausb1a136000.2.6.32.9-perf,build 17397
any brilliant idea ?
What about your nandroid backup? Just restore back to it.

First in my opinion you stay away from the Multi Flasher, it's more trouble than it's worth, once you get your fastboot going again it's easier, quicker and the correct way to flash your streak.
If you don't have a usb connection try something like Remote Web Desktop to get files onto your Streak or pull the sd card out and put it in a reader and connect it to your computer... I mean how simple is that
yes i can put anything on my sd card...but i have no connection between dell fastboot and pc multi-flasher or command prompt.now ai have 360 rom...any idea guys? what i can put on sd card for cwm to solve that?

oK, IF you can get back to stock ROM then you only have one of 3 problems:
1) you have a driver issue, you need to look in device manager for an unknown usb device and install the right drivers, IF there is nothing there then you only have one of 2 other problems...
a) there is something wrong with your cable
b) there is a hardware failure with your Streak, it's that simple
Flashing an update.pkg to your Streak returns it to out of the box state, like it was just bought... if you flash that a couple of times and you aren't seeing your Streak in your device manager, and it's not one of the above, THEN you may need to try to connect to a different PC and make sure the problem isn't your computer
Do you thing I can flash 1'6 over 2'2'2 just to recover my streak back to state? 360 rom will accept any other rom to be flash? I will try tomorow othet cable. Thank you for your answers

There is no reason under the sun that I can even think about to go back to 1.6. If you flash 2.2.2 360 package and it doesn't solve your problems, then it's hardware related... bad USB port, bad PDMI on your Streak, driver install, something, and if your update.pkg were corrupt it would not install
Streak is accepting only 360 update.pgk.....351.345.353,354 =error7 . should I try other pgk?

Sigh.... that's because you must have the recovery image for the 360 package on your Streak, and you have no choice but to install that package because you are unable to fastboot for whatever reason.... this is logical I would think
Before to flash 360 pkg I flash thru command promt recovery image for this rom.....now only option by recovery is to flash pkg or back by pressing volume up.....anyway I will try tomorow other usb cable and update this post

I tried this method to flash recoveries or roms without pc connection.
you will need a superuser.zip or gingerbreak
Download the recovery of choice either stock or CWM (I used multi but had issues with nandroid)
Download flash_image (search the forum or google, i have it but never tried attaching here yet)
If you need any of the files, I will try to see how I can upload and post a link
1. Root your 360
2. Install fileexpert from market, goto options check root explorer
3. using fileexpert navigate to the location on sdcard where it is, copy, navigate to /system/bin, options-mount as read write, paste flash_image
3. Install terminal emulator from market
4. Open terminal, type su then press enter
5. Type flash_image recovery \sdcard\recoveryname.img press enter
6. Shutdown and boot to recovery
7. Flash rom

Most probably you have a broken D+ od D- connector either in the cable or less probably in your Streak. I'd check the cable first, using a continuity checker this is a thing of a second or so... youll find pin assignment at wikipedia, just look for 'PDMI'

still wont boot man !
and how should i flash another rom ?
Go through p500 geneal forum.. you will find all types of info you need.
First depends on what recovery are you using??
Are you on new baseband or old. If old.. which recovery have you installed.. old bb or new??
If you are through with all these.. Wipe Everything you see in recovery then flash the rom.
First boot takes time so have patience. If stil you have problem.. your downloaded Rom must be corrupt
Please somebody help me ! what should i do ?
i didnt used the phone like 5 days and i miss him
please help me and fast as u can guys !
Read carefully:
1. Download a compatible ROM here. They are in "Android Development" and in "Original Android Development"
2. Downloaded? Download GApps (to have Play Store)
3. Copy all downloaded files to your phone
4. Wipe ALL DATA, DALVIK CACHE, BATTERY STATS, SYSTEM, BOOT
5. Flash the ROM
6. Flash GApps
7. Reboot

Do you have an adapter? Then insert your micro SD and insert it in your PC. Copy them and install on your phone.

Same thing happened to me. Try flashing another version(nightly,RC)
Phone : lg P500
ROM: Rashed's CM10
Kernel : DJNOXD 2.5.6
PRESS THANKS IF I HELPED YOU!!!
I have a problem with my S2, my screen is broken. I don't want to replace it because im getting a new phone within a month. I only want to retrieve my data from my internal SD card.
Because my screen isnt working anymore I can't connect my micro usb to the PC anymore and connect my galaxy s2 to the PC. Because you need to connect the usb via a touch on the screen, there is just no way to do it.
So my question is, is there a way to retrieve the data from my phone ( like if you start the phone it will automaticly connect the media storage to the PC?), I can get in download mode and flash roms because you only need the volume, home, shutdown keys to do that.
Thanks for the help.

Again I am sorry if this thread already exists somewhere but I am not able to find it or to understand that it could be useful for me.

-Download frameware 2,3,3 (it's in ftf extension,if not so rename it!)
-Download flash tools pc app (Linux, windows) then install
-Put frimware.ftf to frimware folder of flashtools(it installs by default at drive c:/flashtools)
-turn off your phone
-run flashtools then press lightning button, & choose flash-mode
-select the frimware & press next
-you'll be asked to attaching your phone ,so hold back button then pull USB cable in the phone
-flashtools will do the rest of flashing automatically
Then you can turn it on
#drivers should be installed
#wrong frimware = hard brick
(If this is hard you can use pcc to repair & update your phone to the lates frimware)

Hi and welcome to xda!
If you wish to revert back to the stock GB firmware this is the easiest way if you to do so:
1. Turn your device off. If you for some reason can't turn your phone off properly then pull the battery out and wait 10 seconds.
2. If you took your battery out then put it back in. Do not turn your phone on and open SEUS (Sony PC Companion) on your PC (you can download it from the Sony website or simply google it).
3. Click on Support Zone > Phone / Tablet Software Update > repair my phone / tablet > follow instructions and connect the phone in flashmode when asked for (it will tell you how to do that).
4. Wait till SEUS does it thing and tells you that everything is successfully done. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE FROM YOUR PC WHILE MAKING A SOFTWARE REPAIR!
5. You should be able to use your phone with the stock GB ROM installed.
