if you have a 64bit computer (assuming win7 64bit or vista 64bit installed) then you must install the 64bit version of java as well.
Open up 64bit intern explorer, head to java's website, and look through stuff to find the 64bit download.
I'll try it anything else that comes to mind is appreciated thank you broseph

[Q] StreakBuntu 1.0!! Need help finishing up process

When I put in the ubuntu, ubuntu, local host and 5900 in the vnc veiwer. I click connect and it gives an error message saying "connection refused"
What am I doing wrong?
Anybody? Im super excited to get ubuntu up and running, but ive been stuck here for 2 days now.
You have opened the terminal emulator, right?
The part where you type in "su" then CD to wherever you put the ubuntu files and start the shell?
If you are using the paid app you might want to contact the dev for support.
Crisis, yes I did that. Then pressed home, then opened up vnc, and typed all that good stuff in.

[Q] Debian initial installation

Hello!
I have a Linux Ubuntu on my home PC.
I want to install Debian ARM on my FlyTouch 3 device but not on the Android, on a blank device.
I searched for instructions, but I found only the 'Installing Debian on device with Android'.
Please, help me with this.
Is it real?
The mounted Debian image for ARM I'm already have.
If it is, then, please, give me the instructions.
I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for, since Android will remain on your device (but won't run in the background, it will just remain inactive on your Flash memory), but Google gave me this:
http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...irmware-debian-v0-3-flytouch-sd-bootable.html
I've already saw this.
But I wanna install debian NOT apon the android.
Anybody here?

help needed with ubuntu (chroot) on my device

hey all i have an alps u89...

and i am unable to get ubuntu running on it via chroot method
i am wondering if anybody else has had it running on this phone, or if anyone may know what the problem could be...
after installing needed apps from market and downloading ubuntu image i try and run the setup in cmd and it just seems like nothing wants to work
i have googled every combination to try and find some answers but to no avail...
i have also tried every ubuntu installer app the market... none seem to work... i dont know if my device supports loop devices which is a requirement, but it says that if it dont support loop devices it simply wont boot into ubuntu, but im unable to get it to even start installing...
so any help is greatly apprieciated...
and if anyone is able to assist me in getting it to run on my phone, i am happy to buy them a drink or two as i have near enough given up any hope of having a nice ubuntu running
one last note, i did have a very primitive linux distribution running(gimp) had very limited functionality and it wasnt what i was after...
i cant remember which of the market installer apps i used for it but i am after ubuntu to be as close to the pc counterpart as possible
whats that i hear? challenge accepted??

Hello
I'm trying to install netbeans ide on my Samsung Tab s. I have the source file already on my externalSDCard and I'm trying to get into the debian terminal or the Android terminal and I dont know where to start. does anybody have any tips on how I can mave this happen on either debian, linux deploy Ubuntu or just on my android itself. Right now I'm forced to using my AIDE Ide but it sucks compared to a real IDE.
P.S. what about just installing Windows 10 and running NetBeans On that???
