I was kidding about it being broken. Its good advice though. I really don't feel like I was being hostile. Smartass definitely.

Back up everything you have.. install ROM manager and clockwork recovery.. now start dowloading diffrent ROM and install the one you like best.. but before doing all this.. do some research and read a lot..

I wasn't trying to be a smartass, I simply meant giving a newbie false information could cause him/her to panic and result in a million "HELP! Bricked! threads, and yes it is good advice to not screw with things you do not understand.
Point taken. I would like the op to be updated I am willing to bet its an ext2 lagfix. In which case there's no problem except that an ext2 fix is being used. But I agree hard to tell from the info given.
Btw I was not calling you a smartass. I was referring to myself.

What ROM are you running? I remember reading Synergy was having that issue for awhile, but I haven't been on that ROM in a long time so not sure if they fixed it. There is a free app in the market named Quick Reboot that should fix your problem. Give that a try.
Epicbarbeque - we already have a thread for this, it's a sticky in q and a
Berto55 - are you trying "adb reboot recovery" or using the quickboot app, or a custom roms power menu?

Glitch ... I'm not a big fan of the "stock" kernel. I have been trying to get the Glitch kernel flashed with Espresso Runnymede SII but I cannot get to work. Is there anything special that I need to do in order to get the Glitch kernel flashed? I have flashed CM7.1 then flashed Espresso SII and then tried flashing Glitch but each time I only get to the Android splash screen and it never goes past that. Please help.
BTW ... I love your Rom. It is one of the better ones that I have flashed to my phone and I have tried them all. Just fix a lot of the fc's.

Dude don't get me wrong I love JT's work also and appreciate everything that he has done for the Fascinate. I just prefer a different kernel than his, no offense to anyone else.
I have been reading these forums for several months now and everyone always takes things so personal, most people on here love what they do and want to put out a great product for their phone and share in their profit.
I wish everyone would just get along and help each other out. Thanks to all the developers for their hard work and I appreciate everything that they have done.

To people visiting XDA without the knowledge that we have that would provoke such a response how do you think this comment looks? As frustrating as it may be to answer such questions, we need to at least show a little class to prevent XDA from looking like a high school playground.

We do.... Well an unofficial recovery. But we don't have a fxz/sbf file in order to flash if we soft brick our phones. I know people are waiting to develop roms until this is leaked.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using XDA App
Not for nothing, but I think the "stupid" comment might have been in reference to your apparent inability to conjugate the verb "to be" for a third person plural subject. I could be wrong.
The reason that there's no ROMs isn't completely because we don't have a FXZ, it's because the RAZR's source didn't come out until yesterday (and apparently nobody noticed - meaning there was nothing to build the ROMs from)
Oh ok well hope to see an sbf soon

If it's "bugging out" - have you confirmed it's malware?
95%+ chance it's not - Android malware is extremely rare (especially since Droid Dream variants were pulled from the Market). If you are not an idiot and don't install random stuff from the Market without researching it, you'll be fine. Installing any sort of an antivirus will just make things worse.
This isn't Windows where they're hacking a new security model on top of a fundamentally broken base - Android has a fairly comprehensive security architecture that usually works. (Right now there are no privilege escalation exploits for 2.3.6 and above to my knowledge, and even when zergRush worked, I don't know of any malware that adopted the same exploit.)

For your kind information I had read everything on xda and also use search feature on Google and xda both.

You have a chance to hard brick your device..

I don't think you search well enough. There are like a hundred of over clocking threads on xda.
If you wanted to know the optimal settings just check the Faux kernel thread or other kernel threads for the amaze.
Why was that so hard?
