For those of you who have the app, what are you settings?
Charging/full = ?
Charging AC/Full = ?
Chargin USB/Full = ?
Screen OFF = ?
Battery< = ?
Temp > = ?
The reasons i am asking is that i am having problems finding the right setting to
save battery life while maintaining the speed.
I have been searching around youtube/ etc etc.. and all the settings seem to be on the N1?
Help Plz?
Im just at 200min and 1200max
But at 102 degrees i am at 200min and 800max
i keep mine 1200 max and 100 min and the governer is on conservative
charging/full: 1200 max 400 min
battery < 69%: 1000 max 100 min
battery < 30%: 600 max 100 min
screen off: 600 max 100 min
all set to conservative.
Thx guys I will give this a go and see if i can come up with good results?
Anyone else got their settings? Post plz, wud really help!!!!
Don't use profiles. Set 1200 max and 200 min with conservative. It'll go down to 200 with the screen off, anyway.
I don't always complain, but when I do, I #BlameWes
I think the main issue is with the display taking up too much of the battery life mines currently at 51% while I just have a plain black background. Any suggestions?

if you arent running a kernel that supports overclocking you wont be able to go past 1000

how u gettin 600 option, i just get 400 nd thn 800. if i set to 400 the phne sleeps to death..
I don't know if this was just a concern with the Mytouch 3G that I came from, but if we were to underclock lower than 245 then it was too low/slow for the phone and would create problems with waking, handling incoming calls/SMS, etc. I've seen a lot of you post saying to drop it to 100. To me that's extremely low and not suitable. I have mine at 800 max when on, 384 when screen is off. Even at that, it seems a bit sluggish coming out of sleep, but not anything noticeable when calls/sms come in because in less than 2 seconds it's back to flying.
So my question is, is 100 realistic/adviseable? I think nothing lower than 384 is better for these phones. YMMV.
^^ agreed.. i tried setting mine to 100 when sleeping, but when i got a phone call the phone went r-tarded.. there were a few times when the phone took so long that i missed half the calls.. not to mention what it would do if i was listening to pandora.
i changed it to 400 and the issues went away

Love the evil fascinate! I am trying to optimize the voltage settings using the Voltage control. I am not sure what to do. I want to optimize battery life mostly. I have it set on base setting for bfq at the moment. Do these need to be tweaked. FYI I have SetCpu set to reduce my clock speed as the battery % drops as follows
Battery < 20% 200 max 100 min
Battery < 40% 400 max 200 min
Battery < 60% 600 max 200 min
Battery < 80% 800 max 200 min
Battery < 99% 1000 max 200 min
I corrected this post title a few times cause I kept putting in wrong information. Sorry
Can u guys share ur set CPU profile. I need profiles with great performance and less battery consumption. My profile is as followed :-
Charging AC/full 748 Max 480 min
Screen off 245 max 122 min
Performance n battery don't come together ..... I use ondemand 729/425 ... nothing different for screen off .... works really smooth n decent battery also

My setup's kinda similar to yours,
480/720 ~ on demand ~ when charging/full
Otherwise 240/320 when screen is off. BTW How long does yours last?
Hey !
That's for me :
Charging/full : 729 - 245 / ondemand
Screen off : 320 - 245 / conservative
Battery < 40 : 600 - 245 / ondemand
Battery < 20 : 480 - 245 / conservative
I don't have many profiles, just 1.
245min / 748max
Battery's life is kinda good, usually I have to recharge one time a day. It's not a problem for me.

Well It also depends on which ROM you have on your phone.
Mik_os CM7 port actually EATS the battery and It runs out of juice in less than 24 hours with a normal usage. A bit better with devoid v5, but I feel like openOptimus is the best one out of the three.
I use only one profile: battery < 101% @ 729/122 smartass
great advice so i must be changing my rom as soon as andy releases his new build!
729 max 480 min smartass
I use:
Main 729 max 320 min smartass
Charging 600 max 245 min ondemand
Battery < 40% 600 max 245 min conservative
Battery < 25% 480 max 122 min conservative
I used to keep a screen lock profile at 245 max but my phone lagged while receiving calls when the screen was locked and sometimes while playing music.
I use devoid.franco and
729/480 interactive
Screen off: 600/240 ondemand
What is that of smartass? My SetCpu havent got that mode :/
have someone got a guide or something that explain each mode (ondemand, interactive...)
Using stock ROM.
Normal: 729 max, 245 min, conservative
Charging: 768 max, 245 min, ondemand
Battery < 20%: 600 max, 122 min, conservatve
Battery life greatly depends on my usage. But, generally, I come home after classes (where I use it for internet, music, games etc.) with 30-40% battery left.

i got dis man
Program for controlling CPU frequency on Android in order to increase productivity or increase battery life.
Of the features worth noting customizable profiles.
Description of modes:
* Interactive - an interactive mode, driving frequency of the CPU in real time, almost always at full productivity.
* Smartass - a regime based on Interactive. Has a more rapid decline in frequency in a simple, but also lowers the frequency to a minimum at a turned off screen.
* Conservative - operates at a very low incidence of possible CPU and increases incrementally, as needed.
* Userspace - allows you to change the frequency of the CPU, either manually or dynamically, at the discretion of the software.
* Powersave - reduces the frequency of the CPU to the lowest possible level.
* Ondemand - operates at a very low incidence of possible CPU and increases the maximum reaches values of CPU usage - 100%.
* Performance - sets the maximum frequency of the CPU, not allowed to change frequency downward.

well, like always every phone is different....do you try to go too low or too high when your phone freezes?
my phone doesnt handle OC very well at all, which is fine cuz id rather preserve my battery over performance anyways.
my uv settings are as follows:
100 mhz: -100 = 850mv
200 mhz: -75 = 875mv
400 mhz: -75 = 975mv
800 mhz: -50 = 1150mv
1000mhz: -25 = 1225mv
the rest ive left alone. i think its a pretty standard uv setting. i prob could go a little lower but havent messed with it for a while.
with this setting i can get up to 30 hours on my phone...but thats also during work while i dont barley use my phone
These settings worked pretty good, the only thing my phone couldn't do wa 850 on the 100mhz setting, i had to dtoo it to 900, and now my phone is conservatively running off of a battery. Great job bro thx

Mine are as follows...
all info in my sig. I use 500-1400 conservative with a 500-500 power save profile set for when the screen is off.
My battery lasts between 28-42 hrs pending my usage level from high - low. YMMV.
Miui
200 to 1200
Conservative
Noop
Using no-frills
Same settings when using perception. Awesome battery life, almost two days.

using red drop them for theme changer

Widgetlocker for lockscreen theme
So, I'm heavily themed, but not much in widgets.
Seems good on battery, can last ~14 hours with moderate to high use.
Stable as well, no major crashes other than the usual browser and market.
I use Voltage Control myself and I've UV'd all across the board by -50. I've also dropped max speed to 1000Mhz. The rest should be pretty self explanatory...
Oh and I can't really list battery life because my usage really varies day to day, by quite a bit. I will say that I definitely get through an entire day with very high usage with no problems at all. Much... MUCH better than when I was running stock.
Default voltages and frequencies, ondemand, ignore nice load

Day to day performance, there really is no difference than stock, but to compare quadrant, I got ~3300 stock, but at this OC I get ~4400. It's gonna be smooth as butter either way, I just like numbers
Display time, I'm not too sure, but my settings are at its 1/3 highest (so not too bright, but not too dim either for me). If I were to approximate, I would say a good 2 hours of the display being on, give or take an hour or too (not the best estimate, but Ill try and keep track next time and report back).
Rooted stock
No themes
I get a good 14 to 18 hrs (minimal usage during the day and heavier usage evenings/nights - lots of wifi or data intensive apps)

thanks but it looks like that is not stock settings, turns out if you click revert in setcpu it tells you how to get back to stock. they are...
1200-1275
1000-1175
800- 1075
500 - 975
200 - 950
my new settings are...
1200-1175
1000-1100
800 - 1000
500 - 925
200 - 850
all is well so far. stress test with no probs.
Here's my settings
Main Profile: 200Mhz Min 1Ghz Max running conservative governor. During the day. Conservative is performing better than ondemand for me.
I've also been toying with the up and down thresholds on the conservative governor to find a difference. Haven't really experienced any lag unless I set the up threshold to 90 or over.
Screen Off: 200 Min 500 Max also conservative
Charging: 200 Min 1400 Max ondemand
Battery <25% 200Min 800Max conservative
I've been finding the phone is just as good running at 800mhz max on the main profile. It's amazing how much faster this thing is then my captivate.
As far as voltages
1600: 1450
1400: 1325
1200: 1225
1000: 1100
800: 1000
500: 900
200: 825
Been getting amazing battery life. Been on battery for 10 hours now. Still 65% battery. Not bad.
My phone absolutely blows for overclocking. anytime i try the settings posted here it locks up
Also using No Frills here. Settings are:
Max: 1200
Min: 200
Conservative and Noop
I unplug it at 7am and by the time I get off of work at 5:30ish I still have 60%+ of my battery left. Running MIUI with quite a few widgets and I leave wifi on all the time.

Might have to Overvolt. I had to overvolt 1400Mhz by 25mv in order to get it stable.
Also I've noticed lately when it's not happy with the setCPU settings I'm using the phone seems to emit a high pitched frequency when you put your ear to the back cover. When I get stable it appears to stop.

Not sure what to tell ya. I just installed SetCPU and this is the default settings showing - the same as Voltage Control and what I was referring to. I deleted the boot and profile settings first from Voltage Control and then rebooted, then installed SetCPU.
The only thing I can think of is that since I'm running UnNamed with Entropy's daily driver, maybe the voltage was tweaked from him? I'm only assuming because reading through his thread doesn't seem to indicate that he upped the default voltage on all levels. Unless I missed it somewhere.

I flashed all Custom rom to find one can help my cpu temp is low but .. it still high.
This is hardware problem ?

Which ROM and which kernel are you using?
Also, undervolting will reduce temperatures substantially.
Im using CM9 beta-0.4.5.1-cm-9.0.0-RC0-olympus-UNOFFICIAL-signed.zip
Kernel 2.6.32.59-MB860-CM9-gf77ecf8
Jokersax
This kernel may doesnt support Voltages. Open SetCPU i not see Voltages tab.
Can u suggest me some other kernel ?
Try faux123's kernel, and then do some undervolting.
I changed to faux but when change some voltage setting then my phone hang and reboot many times. temp still so high ( i only set -50mhz). Any sugest ?
Try -25 and use profiles for screen off. Don't forget that there's a 100mV delta limit for each step. Are you overclocking your phone?
My current settings with faux123's kernel:
Screen off profile: 216 min - 456 max
Voltages:
1000 MHz - 950 mV
912 MHz - 900 mV
750 MHz - 800 mV
608 MHz - 700 mV
456 MHz - 600 mV
312 MHz - 500 mV
216 MHz - 400 mV
A note about undervolting: not every cpu is the same. You might be able to get an even lower undervolt, or you might not even be able to undervolt at all. Just make sure you uncheck "Set on Boot" until you get a 100% stable undervolt.
Edit: While you're at it, take a look at the "Time in State" info. What frequency does your phone spend most of its time at? If it spends a lot of time on higher frequencies, there's your culprit for high temps.

Which Faux kernel did you flash? You should be using the 1.0GHz kernel. If you are using that and have mild UV then you should have no heat (or battery life) issues. Also, you need to check for any apps which are causing your CPU to be continually under load when it should be at idle. This could also account for higher than normal heat.
Your phone should be able to handle -50 Hz at all frequencies, as that is a very low UV.

I tried all you suggest but still automatic off (or idle cause i press power button my phone dont start ... it like my phone is hanging ) then I must off my battery to power on my phone.
The average temp around 44 degrees or higher ..
What ROM are you using, and did this problem occur on stock?
I'm using CM9 ICS
Sometime with stock rom, this problem appear. I think it from my phone's hardware. When CPU temp > 50 degree it happen.
Today,
after talk over skype,
view some webpage,
it's seem abit hot (about 45 degree).
After all, i lock screen then put to my trouser. When come to other place I open it, press power and nothing come to screen like its still running so i must off my battery to turn on again.
Flashed many rom from stock to custom but never see one can make me feel happy ). If it from hardware so poor me
Sounds like a hardware issue. Do you happen to use any type of case on your phone?
